  • This video show how to remove, clean and/or replace your Suzuki Burgman AN 650 CVT belt filter. The CVT belt is considered a lifetime belt on the 650s but many times these belts break as a result of overheating and lack of preventative maintenance. the CVT filer on this maxi scooter is a simple foam filter and is easy to clean with air and water. Thanks for watching ManCave Mayhem and don't forget "I'm just a man in a cave causing mayhem!"

    So I did this today and my filter was completely disintegrated!! Just the medal frame… I purchased it in march with 44,000 miles.. I love riding it! Thank you for the content!! I also changed out the final drive oil which looked like the goo that comes out of something on Dr.Pimple Popper… next I’m going to do the transmission oil…

    For those without a compressor, I found the easiest and arguably most efficient way to clean the filter. Use your vacuum with the brush attachment and just gently brush over the foam as the vacuum is on. You clean it very well, very fast, no drying time needed, and everyone has a vacuum already.

      @@geneb5482 it's called CVT stopped Bolt. There is a project issue which makes this bolt snap due metal fatigue, allowing your whole CVT go out of alignment. But if you change it on time, before it brake, you will be good! I have a friend that had to open the whole system to make repair after a snapping bolt... But to change just the bolt itself, it's very easy and you can reach out without disassembly anything.... Search on google for Burgman 650 CVT stoped bolt. 2012 or below are the problematic ones. Given the effort Suzuki should have either made access easier or made a better filter. Curious to see how a B650 compares with a Honda Silverwing 600 in ease of maintenance and if serious issues arise more or less frequently.

    Hey on a 2003 Suzuki Burgman 650 is the cvt filter on the same side as yours is and if it's dirty will it cause the bike not to change gears?

    • @ManCaveMayhem
      @ManCaveMayhem  2 роки тому +2

      It could cause the system to overheat a little bit and it should be on the same side. The bike doesn’t change gears it runs on a belt that varies the gear ratios as you accelerate. The buttons simulate gear changes but it just changes the position of the belt and hold it in that area.

      @@ManCaveMayhemHey there curly, I finally pulled the trigger yesterday on a 2017 Burger 650 she's beautiful dressed in white although she does have a big mouth in the form of a hidden legitimate trucker sounding air horn touch the factory button and all the neighbors are looking out their windows wondering what the hell is semi truck is doing on their city street, this guy really did everything up right with perfection in mind without being gaudy It does have extra LED fog lamps also lights on the large Givi trunk originally all black had It custom partially painted to match the bike also Givi windshield also came with the OEM stock one along with several RAM mounts a cup holder, cruise control adapter two different legitimate backrests, a phone book thick factory maintenance manual a (battery tender brand) modular helmet, gloves wireless headset Xtra Mobile-1 oil he uses the list is endless He's done many long tours about 23,000 mi on the bike not a mark on it that I can find,, A really decent older stand up man getting out of the hobby for personal family reasons otherwise he'd still be riding. It was a 420 mile round trip journey to pick up the bike well worth it I get a buzz every time I walk in the garage and see it.✌️🍀

      @@ManCaveMayhemI've been hesitant to get one of theirs because it requires sending off the seat and my burg is my only vehicle, dont think I can go a month without it. But I hear really good things about them and that one looks plush
