Wow, wow, wow, absolutely stunning. I love your videos, the camera work and sounds literally transport you into the scene and it feels like you are in one of those carriages, driving the engine or standing watching the trains run by, absolutely superb
Excellent, as always! A Britannia is a favourite of mine - a great looking loco and very purposeful. The new Hornby Black 5 has been criticised by some for a relative lack of haulage power - but with around 30 large wagons in tow, I thought yours seemed absolutely fine. I've noticed that you're approaching 5,000,000 UA-cam views for this lovely channel - fantastic and well deserved! Thanks.
Thanks Steve, really appreciate it. Yes mine was the same it struggled with 5 coaches, but after removing the front bogie spring and adding a load of lead in the boiler it’s now pretty powerful. After filming this I put a 6 coach rake on the end of the long freight train to see if it could manage, and it got round the whole layout! You’d think Hornby would test their products and make those simple tweaks though rather than the customer having to figure it out…
Beautiful scenery and excellent work on the Brit and 5 - and their rolling stock. Perhaps a few more 'rattles and bangs' with the freight? I see Pa Larkin's got a Land Rover now!! Superb. Thanks for sharing. Al.
Superb work as always. This is one of the stand out layouts and general running many modellers would do well to use as an inspiration. Thanks for sharing 😁👍
Nobody does this better than you! You’ve nailed the over dub & you’re ability to understand the shot & it’s perspective is brilliant But what you’re also brilliant at is scenery so would you consider filming a makeover like you used to do I just find it fascinating how you turn sticky brown paper cardboard into a rolling landscape thanks for the time you take to make it perfect
Brilliant! I could almost hear the shutter noise of someones camera next to you in some of those shots. You have a wonderful ability of putting us in the layout in your videos. I love it.
What a great video Lewis ,first class eye level shots .Good to see an 8 coach train as well as a 27 wagon Goods .Well done ,I will watch this again on my tv .
Well done, assume matching speed with sound effects was very deliberately done? Couldn't help notice you had carriage bogie railjoint clatter very well synced, hitting the beat in the same spot perfectly. And the transition between loco and train noise was perfect. Congratulations.
Excellent video, I’ve always had a soft spot for the standard sixes and sevens I think that they looks so good, I’ve never been able to see Britannia in real life though she never seems to come up to Scotland😢
Thanks 👍🏻 Me too, I like all the exposed pipework and high running board, they just look right. I guess if she won’t come up, you might have to venture down! 😉
Excellent video as always, with so much of the goods train unfitted it would more likely have been a WD, 8F, 9F or an Eastern 2-8-0, Black 5 more likely on a fast fitted freight if not on passenger
Great vid. Love the sound. Clickety-clack reminds me of the sleeps on the journeys I used to make. How do you do the fixed location sound so that as the enigine goes by the carriages get their own sounds?
Great Lewis, after having tried a few syncing videos myself I can completely appreciate the skill needed to do it... Hence I've only been able to do it for yt shorts 😂 incredibly brilliant work as usual. Was this old recording or have you managed to get back to the loft recently ?
Thanks! Yes I did - I followed a guide on the RMweb forum, it worked quite well. I packed it full of lead and removed the spring on front bogie which increased the haulage capacity massively

The Britannia engine has the chime of an LNER A4. Try finding the chime whistle sound. Wrong engine for the long goods train. Bobby the Black 5 isn't strong enough. You need a 9F to haul a heavy goods train that length. 9Fs are 2-10-0 heavy freight tender engines, designed to pull long heavy goods trains. The 9F has a Swindon-sounding whistle, try not to mistake her for a GWR steamy.
Apart from all this, everything is fine! 😆 Wow, I can't believe how picky some people can be! 🙄 Nothing but negativity and criticism from @kellyashfordtrains2642 for what is a truly spectacular, impressive and enjoyable layout. Thank you @MouldyRaspberry for sharing it with us.
Hi Lewis Heavy haulage indeed, I counted 27 0r 28 wagons that the black 5 was hauling it looked great, and the Britannia class looked great too with a load of coaches. A great bit of editing in your video Lewis well done and thank you.
Thanks Tony. When I got the Black 5 it could hardly haul 5 coaches, but with some extra lead and a bogie spring removed, it’s now ridiculously powerful!
Wow, wow, wow, absolutely stunning. I love your videos, the camera work and sounds literally transport you into the scene and it feels like you are in one of those carriages, driving the engine or standing watching the trains run by, absolutely superb
Thanks very much, really appreciate it and glad you like the videos.
Superb. The sound effects add so much.
I want to shrink myself down to 00 scale and live in that landscape. 👍
Thank you 👍🏻 I often think that too.
The best model railway channel on UA-cam! Brilliant scenery, great sounds, and clever editing. Very entertaining to watch. Well done! 👍😊
Thank you very much!
A really relaxing few minutes of pure enjoyment. Thank you.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Wonderful, free steaming, capable and NOISY locos. Britannias👍👍👍
Thanks! 😀

Such a realistic layout. Fantastic video. Well done.
Thank you 👍🏻
Amazing work, and the added sound tracks so greatly enhance the impressions! Next is to get the sheep to run about when the trains pass.
Thank you!
Excellent atmospheric heavy hauling.
Don't let the rivet counters get you down! ;-)
Haha thanks Davie 😀

Thanks, glad you liked it!
Great filming on your superb layout, always relaxing to watch yet interesting to examine the scenic detail you've put in, thank you
Thanks John 👍🏻
Nobody does this better than you! You’ve nailed the over dub & you’re ability to understand the shot & it’s perspective is brilliant

Thanks John 👍🏻 I am keen to start another project, just need a bit more space 🤣
Another excellent production! great trains, scenics, and angles!
Thanks Anthony!
Fantastic, I just love the whole look of your layout, it just all looks like it belongs! All the best Dave.

Fast passenger trains are a personal favorite! And over the whole Dales Line. Good to see it again, Lewis. Thanks for another great vid!

Nice to see the old layout again. Like the long trains on this
Thanks, me too!
The Black V is such an iconic locomotive
Agreed!
Hi Lewis, absolutely wonderful, seeing both layouts as If they’re seamlessly joined brilliant
Thanks Barry!
Brilliant! I could almost hear the shutter noise of someones camera next to you in some of those shots. You have a wonderful ability of putting us in the layout in your videos. I love it.

Thanks Greg!
Yahoo back on YDR again ‼️❤️❤️❤️
I keep flipping between this and nymrfootage. You've got it perfect.
Thanks!
The only possible criticism is that the sheep and cows don't run away from the trains! Beautiful modelling
Thanks Martin 👍🏻
Frankl, that is about the only tip-off that this is a model!
This is what it must look like when the mainline is closed and trains have to be diverted to a local track ❤❤❤
wonderful sound track...! Love the layout😄
Thank you 👍🏻
Fabulous to watch as always your layouts are works of art utterly enthralling keep up the great work.
Thanks Ben!
Very very nice. 😀

@@MouldyRaspberry i’m 15, so I don’t have the funds to do that 😢
They’re building a new clan class, and I suspect that will do Carlisle to Glasgow at some point
great vid on channewl loks of great t6hinga a senic on layout thanks lee
Thanks Lee!
Love sound effects and modelling, pity there’s no smoke from the engine.
Thanks 👍🏻
As usual brill vid can almost smell the smoke
Thanks!

Thank you 👍🏻 Yes true, a bit more braking ability!
Great vid. Love the sound. Clickety-clack reminds me of the sleeps on the journeys I used to make. How do you do the fixed location sound so that as the enigine goes by the carriages get their own sounds?
Thanks Tony. I edit the sounds over the top of the footage, so it’s just recording of trains running on heritage lines I’ve visited.
How do you keep this beautiful lay-out free of dust???
I don’t do anything really it just doesn’t get dusty for some reason!
Hello. Klasse lakomotive 🛤️🚅🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks.........Fim👮🏻🚂🤚🏻
Thank you!
Nice drone footage. Great to see ‘Brits’ on eight coaches, I never copped a Brit. Was there some big event?
Thank you 👍🏻
Great Lewis, after having tried a few syncing videos myself I can completely appreciate the skill needed to do it... Hence I've only been able to do it for yt shorts 😂 incredibly brilliant work as usual. Was this old recording or have you managed to get back to the loft recently ?
Ha thanks, it does take a bit of patience! Managed to get back and film this last weekend which was nice 😀
Hi! Loved the video, did you manage to shorten the space between the Black5 and it's tender??
Thanks! Yes I did - I followed a guide on the RMweb forum, it worked quite well. I packed it full of lead and removed the spring on front bogie which increased the haulage capacity massively
Love you videos, but how about a turntable at Missentwaite for tuningvthose big boys round? Would add another dimension to the videos.
Thanks! I agree that would be a very interesting addition….
How long did it take you to make this layout.. amazing
