My god, that Serral Victory felt like a game of the year if you ask me, constant action and Serral being able to achieve somethng. Usually always support the Terrans or Protoss players against Zerg, This is the first time ever I have wanted to see a Serral vicotery
That Leylines battle 1:30:00 - 1:49:55 was really hard fought. Nice to see that Clem can eventually make enough mistakes if Serral plays almost perfectly for 20 mins.
Aside from the ghost, another thing I notice that makes Terran strong is their ability to just come back from being behind the early game. The cost efficiency of their units plus mules just make each match so close even when zerg or protoss got a good lead early game and on the flip side if zerg or protoss fall behind early game its almost always gg and its not even close.
I think a better way to depict it is Terran is mainly hitscan e.g guaranteed damage by every unit where as both Protoss and Zerg can sink minerals into units with no payout because their projectiles are dodgeable and their melee units are avoidable / kiteable.
Yup. It’s all thanks to their turtle ability and their ability set up choke points and create cost efficient trades. Terrans have a lot of tools at their disposal to not just roll over and die Even in the lower leagues, Terrans just…..don’t die
Medivac drops are also very strong and arguably stronger than protoss's variant (excluding those have the added utility warping in). They are extremely fast with the ability and zerg has terrible anti-air. Hydras are decent but still too slow to get in close to engage efficiently with medivacs. Queens are good but again, too slow to catch them. Beyond that you have to invest in air which mutas are terrible frontline fighters or corruptors which are expensive for what they are and still relatively slow. Everygame Serral just loses value as medivacs can heal everybody once Clem pulls them out. He was constantly on the defense against them and Clem was even just stalling with them for quite a while. I think a hive upgrade that adds anti-air range to hydras or queens would help that. Or maybe a hive upgrade that adds anti-air to roaches. Idk, maybe those would be too strong but I feel like Zerg just has terrible answers to Air compared to the other two races.

12:59 He actually does more than that. See the scvs on the 2 middle patches, he right-click them in front of the mineral patches, then shift click on the mineral patches. That way the scvs don't deccelerate when they get close to the minerals, but stop only and instantly when they're at mining distance. It makes a little more money, especially on the far patches.

It is absolutely crazy to see Serral getting suffocated like he has been throughout this series. Clem is relentless and Serral was constantly on the back foot. He made some great attempts at ling run-by's, nydus worms, and none of it mattered because the static defense back home from Clem with planetary fortress would shut it down, or the constant streams of reinforcements were never ending and could then refocus their attention back home while the main army(ies) would be at the front line. Clem legit made this game look imbalance. I don't see how or what Serral could have done differently. And yet, I don't see any other terrans being this dominant, or we don't see 90% terrans and 5% protoss and 5% zerg in tournament upper brackets. So I guess Clem is just that dominant right now? So hard to watch and make sense of the dominance of Clem here.

He can win against anyone else. I think his problem with Clem is, that he refuses to adapt his playstyle against him. For example, Clem has shown weakness against muta play, because it shuts down his drops and map control (and as a bonus, kills of the banshees that always got far to much value), And yet, in no game do we see Serral attempt muta play. I actually prefer shorter videos for matches. But what I love is a single super long game, like a single game that lasts (about) an hour is what I want to see
Amazing series and video. Thank you very much for this gift. 2 hours of Clem vs Serral. Wow. I hope u didn’t get a brain seizure for casting so many games b4 Blizzard updated and ruined replays. Awesome.
Maybe this is one of the prime example of strategy vs mechanics. Is clem winning because he's mechanically quicker? Or is serral winning on matches he had made the best opportunities?
serral used to always have tons of queens, now they're more of an investment, especially early-mid game, we don't see them as much in his builds. Personnally as a gold league Z player, it's a HUGE difference.
so it seems to me that Serral struggles with mediavik/marrines push real hard. Serral has very little anti-air units in the early games where basically he looses all his bases/units since Clem just drops here and there his units + healing. Also Serral mostly plays bane/zerlings versus marines that seems strong versus not skilled players but most of the time zerg loses a lot of zerlings/banes and kill like 2-3 marine. it seems that zerg has big problems in the early games with air since the SC2 release because queens are not the best anti-air, ravagers frankly suck to kill mobile air unit, hydra t2, corruptors t2 also. compared to protoss which has stalkers, zerg can't properly handle banshee/marine drops
I really would be interested to see what the game would look like if zerg had access to scourges again at T1 - all of these games are zerg not being able to attack the terran due to air vs ground or pickups with terran highground abuse etc. I really think queens need to get increased range or damage or attack speed or something but only when near hatcheries to make it a purely defensive buff - they are meant to be protectors and it would certainly help with the constant harass zerg always has to deal with. I also really am not sure about making every terran unit ranged with the vast majority being able to shoot up - it just makes any unit ball so powerful in an RTS game since they can all attack at the same time. The hydra rush is really lame considering how powerful everything else is - I was certain it was like bloodlust but it's just some garbage short speed movement? Call it Frenzy and give them attack speed or 2 target cleave or increased range or something so its actually a "uh oh" button like stimpack is? The flavor and RP of zerg was always burrow to spring a trap and ambush their targets - with so much detection for terran burrow is useless as their gap closer. They eventually gave zealots charge so they could do something - zerg charge? leap? Burrow charge!? Lastly Zerg spell casters really feel like memes - Snipe EMP Storm Feedback whereas fungal has been nerfed how many times? Would really love some new abilities that do something unique or add utility instead of what they currently have. The game certain needs a shake up this meta has been the same for years.
@@Graftington all true. IMHO it's lame that hydra is 2 cost unit, should be 1 as in sc1. Also frenzy seems like real shit, I agree. Could be better if hydra could attack 3 units a time. From the campany impaler in some cases was great offense unit because of damage and range, maybe lurker den could offer impaler morph too? Also ultras in beta had borrow charge, so maybe give it to all zergs or borrow move like roaches has give to all zergs which makes sense since if unit can borrow why can't it dig? And why roaches, investors can dig and ultras, hydras cannot? Muta in sc1 could morph into t3 units which made it more versile unit. In sc2 muta used only for haras then it's dead unit because there is no next morph level... why?
The way I see it Clem keeps attacking onto creep, theoretically where Zerg has all the advantage, but creep tumors are fragile and queens without creep die. You never see extra static defense making run by's practically free with medivac's. Why not go full turtle zerg, spore crawlers everywhere make zerg territory a no fly zone for medivac's, toss in extra spines around your minerals so you can trap your enemy's against them. Burrow low hp roach's to make terran's waste their energy/recover a "dead" roach after it heals up to be usable again vastly improving the cost efficiency. At this level of play anything that can spare your time and attention lets you make more worthwhile actions, as seen by the brilliant overlord/changeling strat.
I had to break this one up into 2 watch sessions. I got through six games easy but 7 proved to be too much of a time sink. Experiment result: partial success. Would look at doing double Best of 3 instead of double best of 5 or larger. Baseball calls this style a “Doubleheader”.
I still don't understand how zerg just lets terrans fly dropships everywhere without even challenging them.... Like just make a clump of corruptors and that ends it.
I keep saying it. It's the Medivacs that are the broken part of the Terran, and nobody demonstrates this better than Clem. Other Terran tend to try it at the beginning, but they just can't micro like Clem can and they kind of abandon it. But Clem does this EVERY game. Every game he has a bioball and Medivacs dropping everywhere, and when people are not prepared to destroy them in the air he just out-manoeuvres them. He rarely gets caught out on the ground cos he's picks the bioball back up instantly at the perfect time every time, and meanwhile he's dropping more in spaces where his opponents just aren't looking. The first game is a perfect demo of this. Serral kept up with that like a master, but still without the ability to actually destroy those Medivacs he slowly got out-paced. Zerg can't fight a Mediball with Ling/Bane against Clem.. You need to ASSSUME he's going to Medivac, cos he is, and be pre-emptively prepared for it. This might sound like a joke, but I think actually the play for Serral here is Ling/Muta instead of Ling/Bane. I know Mutas are a joke, but it's the only fast air option the Zerg have. The Zerg need to front the bioball with the Lings and have the Mutas in the back with the bounce damage, push the bioball back into the Medivacs and then chase those with the Mutas. Now the Terran is forced to drop the bioball back out or Mutas will destroy them inside the Medivacs. Mutas also give options to chase Medivacs over impassable terrain. It would stop Clem from just casually dropping in 2-4 different spots in Zerg bases. There's no spare gas here for Bane, and if the Zerg get ahead with Mutas it forces Terran into Mech. Maybe even forgo Zerg ground upgrades for air upgrades to force this situation. Or maybe even split the upgrades as ground defense and air attack since the Lings are really just here to corner and soak.
Now that I think about it the ONLY reason I can think of why scan>raven is that the raven costs supply leading to a smaller fighting force. IDK everything else speaks in favor of the raven in the lategame but I'm just speculating.
For a new player, what keyboard setup is either most used or best to use? I know many will say, "whatever your comfortable with", but that's not what I'm asking.

I clicked the like button because I feel very guilty about the thing you said " put on my voice in the background " 😂😂 I dont even play SC2, just put on your voice and go to sleep, everyday, 7 days a week, 4 week a month 🤣🤣
Remember the times ghost cost 4 supply and got buffed to 3? Me neither, but Lowko does! 😂
Two hour match with Serral in it? But it's not even Christmas!
Nothing wrong with two great hours of StarCraft 2.
1:55:00 What is worse? Building a spore crawler or losing 13 drones? I get so mad that Zergs are alergics to building spore crawlers.
tava esperando pra almoçar 😋
Me too
I actually prefer shorter videos for matches. But what I love is a single super long game, like a single game that lasts (about) an hour is what I want to see
Longer videos are awesome, you're my typical sidescreen, saves a lot of hassle and more time for some professional matches of Starcraft 2!
"I haven't felt that good since Archie Gemmill scored against Holland in 1978!"
I did not watch this yet. 2 hours Bo5. This gotta be the the banger of all bangers.
Maybe people will love a 2 hour long video? Bro can we have 5 hour long 'best of' compilation videos please?
Amazing series and video. Thank you very much for this gift. 2 hours of Clem vs Serral. Wow. I hope u didn’t get a brain seizure for casting so many games b4 Blizzard updated and ruined replays. Awesome.
I'll take a 2 hour Clem vs Serral anyday!
Sat down to watch 20 minutes of Starcraft with my morning coffee.... This one's gonna have to wait 😝
2h good night story thank you! Finally I can sleep for some days in a row
great games! great series!
Maybe this is one of the prime example of strategy vs mechanics. Is clem winning because he's mechanically quicker? Or is serral winning on matches he had made the best opportunities?
I'm so happy watching Serral getting a match against Clem. I'm sure that he Will be better against that terran style
Their skill is insane. They use (most) their units to their fullest potential.
Hey Lowko, I think you should know that 207 = 3 * NICE
serral used to always have tons of queens, now they're more of an investment, especially early-mid game, we don't see them as much in his builds.
In sc2 muta used only for haras then it's dead unit because there is no next morph level... why?
yes we do love a 2 hour video.
Man, I was just looking to watch a casual Starcraft video, didn't expect to stumble into a freaking movie-length saga.
Zerg balance state 😢
44:53 Here in Germany we all Complain about the deutsche Bahn😂
I had to break this one up into 2 watch sessions. I got through six games easy but 7 proved to be too much of a time sink.
Experiment result: partial success. Would look at doing double Best of 3 instead of double best of 5 or larger.
Baseball calls this style a “Doubleheader”.
Every video a 2hr video? Not so popular. Random 2hr collage? Heck yeah
I still don't understand how zerg just lets terrans fly dropships everywhere without even challenging them.... Like just make a clump of corruptors and that ends it.
Swear to god if serral lost game 6 there is literally nothing he can do to ever beat Clem again without a zerg buff
gotta love the 2hrlong lowko video while i eat
very hard to watch serral lose so many games in a long ass video 😢
lowko was my favorite creator of 2024 according to UA-cam 😃
Darn it, why is it Jimmy that always has to die!!! 8:40
22:47 look at those overlords in an arrow formation
i gave thumbs up for daft punk reference. i had it in my head then you sang it
Question: Current production is displayed in the repeats. Can I also view ongoing production in my game?
Swarmhost on the other end maybe? not sure, that did get my head thinking on what kind of thing can be done by keeping bio rocks alive.
IDK everything else speaks in favor of the raven in the lategame but I'm just speculating.
i like the 2 hours idea
The Finisher... I see what you did there 😉
I kinda want to see Clem take on the robot that beat Serral... maybe with the new patch we could squeak out a victory for team human?
10:09 Well duh it's because he's LiquidClem, not SolidClem 😂😛
For a new player, what keyboard setup is either most used or best to use? I know many will say, "whatever your comfortable with", but that's not what I'm asking.
