So I’ve been considering trying the tekara style fly fishing cause I don’t want to do the typical fly fishing but I need a good cast in where I’m fishing so this style will work perfectly down at otter creek here in Southern Utah.
Oh heck yeah. Should work perfect. Good luck!
@@ReelMontana awesome Thanku brother for the lesson and content
@@FishingForQuality13 Thank you! Hope to be pumping out some more content soon. Ice just came off so should have some new vids in the next couple weeks.
Good video! :)
😁 thank you!
That lake produces! Just need to tighten the line with a slight pull once bubble submerges. No need to swing for the fence. Also, when you miss a strike, keeping the fly still will have them coming back. 40+ years using this method for trout.
That no doubt!
Nice video and good tutorial , I'm still learning that technique , no luck and even never get any bite 😁 , I was using 2lb flurocarbon leader , wooly bugger , few different flies , still no luck , but , my bobber was sitting free on the line , no stopper , maybe that was the issue ? Gonna check your setup video. Maybe , you can suggest me a fly to use which works almost any time and color ? Thanks.
To pin your bobber carry some toothpicks in your tackle box. If a toothpick is to narrow use a stick. I would suggest a prince nymph, hares ear, copper John or any leech pattern (wooly bigger or balanced leech). Put a nymph a foot up your line and a leech pattern below it.
I’m working on another fly bubble video now. I will go over some important tips, tricks, and tactics. Keep an eye out.
@@ReelMontana Thanks! Subscribed on your channel.
Do you have to use clear water bobbers, or does any streamlined float work?
We use clear fly bubbles, because the water here is usually crystal clear. If you have stained water you could get away with other bobbers.
Can you do a video on how to catch pike? I'm trying to find some good ways to target them and I know there are quite a few in NW montana, Thanks!
Thank you! We will get to workin on some pike videos. We appreciate the comment.
Not a Sandhill Crane but a Blue Heron.
