- Sometimes we come across a skateboard on Amazon that we think will make for an interesting video then that skateboard happens to be made from the fictional metal called vibranium that is quite literally indestructible! Introducing this Amazon Polycarbonate Skateboard that has now made it's way into Indestructible Braille History!

I loved how you guys went from "it's going to break instantly" to "Why won't this break".
I know such a let down hahahahaha

@@brailleskateboarding
@@brailleskateboarding Should have linked to the real glass video at the end, much less durable but much more satisfying.
lexan is like 230x stronger than glass. super strong stuff
As someone who works with polycarb, I enjoyed watching you guys trying to break something I knew wasn't going to break from blunt force. Heat will defeat polycarb, it can be cut fairly easily, but it is made for impacts and will deform a lot before breaking.
I bought a single small sheet of this stuff at a hardware store and cut out about 5 lens protectors for my airsoft gun dot sights and scopes. Never lost a scope to direct hits again. It was like $5, and could be cut and filled down to shape with hand tools easily.
this is like HALF INCH poycarb, no way this breaks like how they expected
gotta drop stuff on the edge of it where it won't just bend away.
They're skaters not rocket scientist
@@ShiningDarknesThat would only deform the edge on polycarb. Acrylic is prone to cracking from edge impacts, but not polycarb. Acrylic = harder, but more brittle. Polycarb = softer, but tougher. That's why they use types of polycarb in racecar windows instead of acrylic.
Polycarbonate is super tough, I'm not sure if it's still true but they used to make fighter jet canopies out of the stuff and it's definitely still used for riot shields. However, if you can get hold of some liquid nitrogen and chill that bad boy down to -40 it'll shatter like glass
Hmmmmm
No need for liquid nitrogen, dry ice is cold enough for - 40. But liquid nitrogen would look cooler.
Well now I know what to do in a riot type situation
Also acrylic is used for windshields in aviation
Hopefully Paris doesn't hear this!
Heat also works, as well as just cutting it
Clear grip tape is a must for this board. The seller should include a package with your choice of colored grip tape.
Polycarbonate is known for its unbreakable characteristics. Love you guys!
Polycarbonate has the highest impact strength of any transparent plastic. Polycarbonate is used in safety glasses. Plexiglass is namebrand of acrylic which is much more brittle.
Adding AR-2 coating makes it bullet proof
I work in the plastic industry and I will say polycarbonate does not break, only bends. They make bulletproof windows with it lol. If it was acrylic however it would break like glass
Amazing! Make us a board! Skateit@brailleskateboarding.com email us
I remember my first pair of polycarbonate safety glasses, it said unbreakable on the side, I didn’t believe it, so I tried throwing, stomping, hitting with a hammer, none of which worked. I even drove over them with a forklift. Only at that point did the arms break off. I never did break the lenses.
"Forget the game. We now have a personal vendetta against this board." 😂😂😂
its been years sense i watched braille, but they still just as awesome as i remember, never change any of you
Thanks! Why did you stop watching?
@@brailleskateboarding
@@brailleskateboarding I think you have more non skater viewers than you think. I'm the same, I'll usually binge a bunch of the videos then come back at a later date. I like watching the skateboarding (I wouldn't be here otherwise, even though I don't skate) but it's the stunts and weird challenges that interest me more.
@@brailleskateboarding
It is super interesting to binge maybe 10 videos.
Otherwise I have nothing to do with skating as well.
@@brailleskateboarding thought you guys retired the channel!
Its my firm opinion that every skateboard should have light up wheels. I am willing to die on this hill.
Nice, yw for the meme btw ^_^
Together we will stand on this turf
Idk if it’s been done or said but you all should try to have a deck made that’s fully made out of a material called Delrin which is kind of like a plastic that’s used to reduce friction. Obviously grinds would be quick and slippery.
Its quite flexible so it would need metal or composite reinforcement. Also metal on metal slides better but for concrete slides it would be dope
or PTFE which is also pretty slick and a bit stiffer then Delrin. It is a bit more brittle tho so might not last forever
yes
Then how would you drag it with your feet with no friction?
@@TooChEASY UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) will grind anything.
30 yrs. ago I made a full-size skateboard in machine shop out of clear plastic. We ran it over with a car nothing happened. It was also bullet proof. It flexed too much, even with a set of plastic rails.
Someone should make a full size board out of this material and have the Braile team skate it
Yes please
Look up Ghost Longboards. That have it already. I have 4 of their boards already. Love em
This brings to mind: "imagine you had a legitimately unbreakable thing, how many people would be broken in finding it out?" Skateboards might just break before people do for a reason.
I work with a lot of plastics. Poly is some strong stuff. It will bend before it breaks as you can see. Usually the Kryptonite for most plastics is sun. UV rays will take care of that bendiness after awhile. 😁
"Photodegrade" is what i heard its called.

Really missed Ricky, glad to see him back even if he isn't ready to skate yet :) I hope the rest of the recovery is quick!
What happened to him? I've been away from the channel in the last few months.
torn miniscus or something. one of the things where you have to get surgery or get a cane. so yeah he needs all the positive vibes we can send him
Thanks 🙏
@@rickyglaser Get well soon.
Ricky would have found a way to break this board.
What's funny is I work with poly carbonate, so when they said it would break, I already had my doubts.
It works cause it's soft.. not brittle. It's 'bulletproof'. Also you can tell polycarbonate from acrylic by the color of the edge. Poly is dark, acrylic is light colored.
As your trusted dry cleaner I'll say it's safe to air dry your cloths then before you fold them put them in the dryer for 10 min on low heat. That softens them and take some of the rinkels out.
Oh ya? Thanks for the tip
dry cleaner that doesnt know h0ow to spell wrinkles? hope you never wrote that to aa customer. no h8 here
@@patirckozz rinkels LOOOOOOOL
@patirckozz I'll be the first person to tell you I've got an IQ of .7 and the memory of a gold fish (the crackers). But I can get a pen mark out of a silk tie and thread a needle with my eyes closed.
@@danielsaltvick based and respectable, cheers o7
Rather than putting grip tape on it, you could put surf board wax on it. It's meant to keep your feet on the board. Not to slide. Then it would remain clear, the perhaps a little cloudy.
Hmmmmmm
The ending is hilarious. Well done Beginning Skateboard for Beginners Skateboard mini ultra 52 inches light up wheels!
I started skating back in the early 1970s. I still have all my old stuff, original OJs wheels, Road Runner wheels, Gullwing HPG 4s, Trackers, ACS, etc. I still even have my G&S FiberFlex deck...this kind of reminds me of that deck with it's flexibility.
Awesome
It's actually crazy how strong that board is, definitely top 5! Skate it more!!
Wow, this board needs a part 2! PErhaps at the local outdoor park. I think some nice concrete would assist in the plastics demise.
The local outdoor park is Thrasher park but theyll never show it
its poly carb..... it wont break, as a glazier for 15 yrs this stuff is awesome.
Where’s mcnug
Facts
That's what I've been wanting to know
He asked for time off to do some other projects and handle some personal things. We of course are giving him the time he needs. If he doesn't want to share the details of his life on his social media then we sure aren't going to on ours.
Nobody asked you for details just curious where he was
@@corykayhoe1033 you want his exact location Then?
Not gunna lie, haven't tuned into the channel in about a year. Very, very nice to see everyone still here. Even better to hear JD's voice dropping lol
I fkn love this channel. These skate and wacky skateboard challenges never fail to entertain.
Yes!!!
I love your guys vids ANF I hope u keep them going also you guys inspired me to skateboard
That was a perfect ending. Deserved 5 stars.
21:19 "when the safe is clear..the clear is safe. it's zoned...out" 😂😂😂😂he was so confused on what to say
Hahahaha
I mean I picked up what he was putting down. 😂
I had a clear plexiglass skateboard in the 1970's. Yes it broke, and it had two very sharp edges after it did. It flexed like crazy, even more than the one in this video. I don't think it lasted me more than a couple of days.
Dang ya we did everything to this board and could not break it
Is plexiglass the same as polycarb?
Ricky! Glad to see you back with the braille team!
Shoutout from Brazil! 🇧🇷
Love u guys, amazing content!
its like a piece of art im 58 we used to break up roller skates and put them under some ply wood I made one in wood work and my teacher said "Thats artwork, not woodwork!" I would have dreamed of something like this in 1976 !
This is the stuff they use to make bulletproof glass
Really?
@@brailleskateboarding Same thing safety/shooting glasses are made with.
Ey Braille you should do glow in the dark Game of Skate ???
Ngl a plexiglass deck with a stained glass style design where yoy coyld see through it would be sick
Me recuerda una skate normal que yo tenía hace 12 años, era en madera pero estaba así de flexible y me gustaba usarla porque era muy raro.
The people who made this board need to use this video to show off how durable this board is!
Moseph is the literal man. Keep inspiring guy ✍️
I'm entirely to old and beat up to skate but I love watching yall dudes.
If they formed Grip into the mold like diamond plate that little cruiser would be Sick.
Another great video! Make more recreating tiktoks they're always great to watch and hilarious!
Was not expecting this outcome, WOW!
Glo trying not to swear is always the best part of the video.
17:20 "Ooooh!"
So painful yet so obvious
Been missing these
yo im watching u from 2020 ,i remember those days, thank you guys for these feelings
Thanks so much
Which is the polycarbonate thickness for that board length?
That flex without snapping is amazing 🤘🏻
It's been years since I've had a video recommended for you guys. I completely forgot about this channel, even though I watched a lot of videos years ago.
wow. first board to survive. no fire, no saw, no axe
I had a cool yellow skateboard back in 1979…… it was a hand me down from my brother but I loved that thing.
Again. Need mogleys hoodie lol he's quickly becoming my favorite member of the team. Wheels look super smooth
You gotta remember that polycarbonate is "bullet proof."
Who would skate this board? People nostalgic for the 60s and 70s era of skating. Tricks such as the Hang 10 and handstand and Bert slide were invented on boards like this. And carving on banks. Boards of this shape are also where pool skating started. The wheels on this one are a bit wide for pool skating tho. Very much for carving and downhilling and slalom.
YO RICKY!!! Welcome back dude 🤘
This like them flexible rulers we had in school back in the day
When JD did that board slide just before 14:20, cheered out loud. 💪
So good
hey I’ve made it back to skateboarding so glad to be back and shredding love the Channel
if it had an aluminum shank spanning the two trucks, that would eliminate the flex and allow them to make a full size board. add some grip tape or just embed grit directly into the plastic and you would have an indestructible board that performs just like traditional wood. i suspect it's heavier than a normal board, but a few lightening holes could be drilled into it as necessary to bring it back down to a normal weight.
crazy, actually bought this for my niece and my nephews and I were the ones riding it haha
edit: to give clarity, I showed them "don't break the glass board" it was destiny that you made this video 😂
that time's posting is PERFECT
That forklift at the warehouse next door looks like it wants its forks back tailed while moving
A friend of mine had one of these 20 years ago way before Amazon was around. It’s so uncomfortable to ride because it feels like your sliding around on butter, the thing is too smooth unless it hits a pebble and you go flying 30 feet since this thing picks up speed so fast.
It's the soft wheels that give these boards speed. :D
Finally! We got the glass duo now! Plexiglass and Glass
This was fun 😊👍 love braille 😎 ♥️
i used to work at a place that made polycarbonate. You will not break polycarb. polycarb breaks you. The only way to get through it at all is with a frickin saw.
I love you Braille!!!
It will probably be expensive, but I would like to see one of these made from Gorilla Glass. (Rugged phone screen glass) or at least some Pyrex.
most indestructible board in braille history. also, noticed JDs voice is changing
This isn't "DON'T BREAK"
This is "we can't break..."
I've been lied to
These guys just learned why the polycarbonate compound was created by NASA to use in the windshield of their space shuttles and then moved on to be used in the windows of race cars. It is the toughest solid clear substance on earth currently!! Some companies even make their bulletproof windows for cars out of straight polycarbonate. This stuff is incredible. I think it would be really cool to see a set of skate trucks and wheels made out of straight polycarbonate as well.
This is crazy and cool idea Braille
Yall should get some clear grip for it. Keep this board going. Or if u could buy/make a regular shaped skateboard out of this same stuff.
That product is actually impressive! Wow.
Aron just learned backside flips need a thing to work on next
Ricky is back 🎉!!!!
12:44 what an intro for JD to hit that kickflip to hahaha
Cracking up at the end. That board earned that positive review.
This skateboard should get a second video where it faces Ricky Glaser when he comes back from injury. If anyone can send this thing to boardhalla it's Ricky.
Aaron mythbusters proved that if you run in the rain you get more wet as opposed to walking because you generate more surface area or something. rain doesnt fall that fast so by moving faster you create more opportunity for the rain to hit you.
If you run your head gets less wet, that's why people run.
Yeah, it's one of their false outcomes. If you lean like a normal person, you don't get more water from the front in vertical rain but it's simple maths, if you walk like a snail, you get soaking wet in the lightest rain, if you go lightspeed in a planking position, you gather all the water that is in level with your head and shoulders. That's the bare minimum rain you have, unless you are smaller than 2mm and you can predict where the raindrops fall and completely avoid them. But anyone who actually tried to both run and walk in real-life rain knows that running is less pleasant at the moment but you only get your upper torso wet running as opposed to get soaking wet walking.
I remember from that episode it was inconclusive? Also they came to San Jose about 13 years ago and that was an experiment the attendees could do, run through a tunnel with "rain" falling and test it out. I haven't thought of that in years, thank you.
@brailleskateboarding it was busted the myth was running keeps you drier. But it was like 5 percent drier if you walk. Also you risk slipping and getting bodied.
@@timothyquinn4919 falling is for the weak, they probably shouldn't be going out in the rain anyway
it's like i never left, i still love these guys hahaha
I wonder if a full-sized one built the same way would also be that resistant
I have polycarbonate nunchucks.
It's a great material.
That just sounds awesome
3:32 lmao you guys are so kind hearted
theres only one thing left to do and thats leave a positive review 🤣
So true hahaha
should i back lip the vert ramp?!, bhahahaha tooo funny
That end was gold lol
Was this the first ever board braille was unable to break? impressive.
I think the Capsule board was the first
Or if you could replace like 2-3 out of the 7 layers of maple🍁 with this stuff in a board I bet it would last a long time and add strength to the board a lot. Prob wouldn't add any extra weight either. Somebody build this please.
2:00 is the most wii mii “wow” I’ve ever heard🤣
I love how every time there's a package, Rick just tries to break it immediately. He hates content
the part were he makes the elden ring joke is honestly funny af
JD glad to see someone wearing a helmet!
Skate 4 looks insane!
imma go find this product and mark your review as helpful. put a link to your vid in it.
i love mo, hope to see a return soon man
Looking forward to seeing that review
Ricky is back! Hope the knee is feeling ok
Now you need an Ultem skateboard or even G10 and maybe Micarta.
Edit: That's the type of skateboard I learned on in '87 only it was translucent yellow.
