The fact that Braille was practically run by scientologists and the skaters, including Gabe, who did almost all the work, were given peanuts, is prove that Braille had one goal. To fund an evil cult. Aaron was never sincere when he said he did all this out of his love for skateboarding. He used skateboarding to make Scientology a lot of money.

Nothing sad about this new scenario they're finding themselves in. It's only positive and all downhill from here, they know the inner workings of what it takes to make videos and they know how to promote what they're doing. This new configuration is infinitely better than any braille configuration.

These DaBoyz shirts are set up like an eye doctor's standard test chart, where you look across the room and read off what letters are clear on the sign to see how good your vision is with and without the corrective lens.
So the shirts are kinda a play - first they were blind, now they see. Or they see clearer now that they're on their own way.

Thank you for the transparency. The braille canal meant so much to me as a beginner skateboarder and I’m sad to see it go. But I’m happy you guys are here continuing what braille started to continue its legacy in a positive fashion. I was personally affected when I found out braille collapsed, I felt lied to as a loyal viewer who regularly watched videos. Only to find out that the main man was a Scientologist just waiting to say goodbye to us.

I kind of lost respect for him, because he put Tim Pool on his channel and is being 'sponsored' by him. Tim Pool is a terrible hate mongering social media personality, in case you didn't know. Ricky has a lot of children in his audience and should definitely know better to expose them people like that. It shows that either he will drop any morals for some money, or that he has some terrible hateful beliefs, himself.
Lance was a big part of why I liked Braille, but it was more about what he did than it was about him. He started skating as an older guy, mid 20s to early 30s, and improved a lot from the beginning to when he quit. I thought I was too old to start skating again right before I turned 30, but after I saw Lance’s saga I saw I could do it too, especially since I had some experience from skating as a teenager. Bam said older guys can’t learn to skate well, and I’m really glad he was so wrong.

One thing I'd definitely say is the channel should have some structure. Not like braille was, but reoccurring videos. Like New trick Wednesday where everyone works on a new trick. Streetspot Saturday where everyone hits the streets. It doesn't have to be a certain thing on a certain day, but a series we can get invested in. I think a road to sponsorship series would be sick, like showing us how or who you guys want sponsored from and what you're doing to get there. But all in all just do the shit you guys wish you could've at braille and the channel will be fine!

yes to all of this! i've only seen one tiny clip of JD skating. in fact, it'd be nice to see a showcase of all daboyz. plus local skate parks and skate shops, and just range out further to do more of those when you can. you could also do live vid chats with shops that are further away, or skaters and then show some of their footage while talking to them. not like an interview but something chill and showcasing them. like MEET THE SK8. they talk, say hey, shoot the shit, intro some footage, what they are known for, etc. just would be fun to get that kinda stuff on current people. and all of you as well. skater spotlight?

Because of how DaBoyz were used and not properly taken care of I completely unsubscribed to all the Braille channels and IG stuff and Aaron as well. You can see toward the end how the morale was way down, everyone starting leaving and everyone was just going through the motions. Gabe just sitting in a chair filming the videos, I could feel the tension and desire to not wanna show up there anymore. I'm glad you guys are still friends and made this new channel, I think it will blow up! I'm sorry how you guys all got the short end of the stick over at Braille but that's all in the past now on to big and better things💯👊

Especially when your boss leaves for almost a year with a one week notice to fund his scientology crap. I'm surprised they stayed as long as they did honestly. Braille is trash now barley getting any views and Kyro had to get McNugg back there to try and save it but the damage has already been done. Aaron cared more about his funding his religion than making good skate content and paying his workers properly.
Braille still has 5.8 million subscribers and I'd wager 100 bucks several million of them minimum are bought and paid for subs , not actual humans or skaters. You can purchase subscribers and I guarantee a whole hell of alot of those Braille has were bought.

what so many people dont get is that the worst part about the youtube drama and unclean breaks come a lot from the audience making wild assumptions about the unspoken stuff. it doesnt mean that people have to strip bare but all this stuff is way less juicy than people think. youre doing a good job on dispelling the magic around this situation.

I know who JD is because of Braille. JD's on the up. Idk if he would have gotten the exposure from other sponsors, which he has several. If this was in the magazine days, he would have been all over Thrasher and TWS if the sponsors knew what was good for them. But Braille showed us the kid, and his personality, and his wild skills on the spot like no magazine ads or covereage ever could have. I thank Braille for that.

What made braille truly shine were the people, the homies, the community and friendships that slowly develop throughout the videos. At least that was what got me hooked in the first place, I'm excited for this new chapter, and for content that shows more of this real aspect of skating, with the boys, without any filters, with the problems, no one is perfect and we all have our own lives and conflicts.

You guys have been through so much together and I love seeing the bond that you have developed with each other. It feels very wholesome in general, especially compared to the skateboarding community at large, and I look forward to the future of this channel. Many a toxic workplace has a "family" culture that you described, but it's a blessing in disguise how such a negative experience that you all had with a past job has worked in your favor by creating more than just a business network for future endeavors for you guys. You've created a strong foundation for the future of your personal lives by developing close relationships that are capable of lasting a lifetime. Work relationships that are fulfilling are a goal for many people including myself, so I have so much respect for you guys and I love what I'm seeing! I am a longtime Braille subscriber, but I honestly haven't been feeling that channel lately based on everything that's happened and I can't wait to see where this new channel is going to go. As bad as it all was, I love how all the internal Braille conflict didn't do you guys in but has caused a new channel to form, because skateboarding is spreading even more now due to there being 2 channels now from the same group of people. The whole situation in the past with Braille is alot to take in and at times hard to believe that it all happened especially due to the different present situation of the 2 channels, but I am confident things will stabilize as was mentioned in the video because I have faith in you guys. I think you are all great skaters and great people.

I'm an old-head, southern cali and retired skater who found Braille in like.. 2015? It was around the time of the channel's initial boom. I experienced skating vicariously thru y'all after college , and especially Nigel. It's great to see you guys coming together and starting your own channel. Please don't make some of the same mistakes that the Braille channel made. Some of the video ideas from the Braille channel were monumentally stupid. People like to watch you guys skate and challenge yourselves with new tricks. Stick with that as your core. I know you're a little bit limited without having your own skatepark essentially like you did with Braille, but I know you guys can be successful.

I unsubbed from the B-word channel when I found out about the scientology stuff, but I've tried to support y'alls individual channels over the years and I'm SO glad you're coming together to do this.
