Has yuushi got the world record on new game pro yet? 🙂
Does ditman work on the new. Game lol 🙂
I love how Leon acknowledges that this thing is smart.
“What’s your move?” He knows Verdugo isn’t instinctual, its actions are calculated.
honestly his talking breaks the immersion. the game is really scary but his loud voice that just is so out of mood takes away from the immersion. i dont like it.
@@JackJackKcajifythe game is not scary whether who speaks or not
@@JackJackKcajifyhis reaction is realistic imo, remember that leon is no longer a rookie and had enough of all this virus bullshit.
Ok
@@JackJackKcajifyre4 remake is the definition of an action game. It is not scary at all except the regenrador part
Gotta love how Leon is more annoyed then scared despite facing off against a nightmarish monster lol.
If you ended up surviving in Raccoon City and pretty much killed every monster that stood against you, and then after 6 years you end up having to deal with the same similar bullshit, you'd be just as annoyed. The monsters he faced and killed in RE2 was more than enough experience for him to lose it, suffering from PTSD, he's had enough of all the bullshit, in RE:Vendetta he became depressed and alcoholic because no matter how much he fights the abominations he dedicated his life to wipe out, they just keep on appearing, and appearing, and appearing, and appearing.
@@gelothegogang Fair enough lol I was just taking note of how funny it was to me no need for the depression man. 🥲

This is the first time, Verdugo had revealed that he was a human, who was lucky to survive the experiment and successfully became Salazar's right hand man.

And infected wolves
I would say the regenerators and the invisible flies were the creepiest for me.
Heck, most of the enemies in general were creepy AF in the RE4R😆

For those who are in doubt, Verdugo RED is an executioner but he was also the guy who experimented on people in the castle, and he created the novistators
Now, Verdugo BLACK is probably Salazar's butler, who has served the family for generations, so he never left his side.
And this Verdugo boss is the BLACK one, right?

I've beaten the game twice on standard and hard-core, I'm on my professional play through now , yes I've been playing this so much. This whole fight before you see him and during is terrifying if you ask me since you can constantly hear him running around back and fourth. You never know if he is truly behind you or which direction he's coming from.
They really did this boss fight justice. Made it a lot more tense than the OG fight.
If a face hugger found its way to Adam Smasher then this would probably be the result. Such an incredibly badass design, it’ll always be my favorite monster in the series.
I've beat it on all four modes. Trying a new game on professional is tough.
Here's a friendly reminder to go outside, breathe some fresh air and touch some grass. 😅
I beat Verdugo on professional, died once. I managed to control him most of the time, but yeah, sometimes he can surprise you
You gotta admit the verdugo is a genuinely effective BOW.

This has to be a lead example of what a remake is supposed to be
Capcom have outdone themselves. I would argue this is their best game.
Not really. A lot of what made the OG so memorable has been stripped away
@@2Good2BeTrue45 other than the campy dialogue, bizarre unlogical stuff, and QTEs, i don't think much has been cut at all.

You know I grew up with the original. I'm happy the newer side of the generation is getting to experience the fully realized RE4 with us now. It's like playing the exact version I had in my mind as a kid, gets me all giddy.
I remember in the original I ran cause I had no clue how to fight him
i remember watching a walkthrough of this scene in middle school, and that was around the same time i first played ff7... then fastforward into gaming where we have remakes for both lol
Stfu the original is better in every way the remake is soulless
Already back to playing the original, as most re4 guys will.

Fiery bad that is. When I played the demo, Leon was like "the cop in me died that day" for a moment I thought that I accidentally booted Shadow The Hedgehog instead of RE4 lol.

Honestly, just because Leon says that doesn't mean he's being edgy or anything. He's just saying something that he wanted to say. Plus, I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic there, because why in the nine circles of hell would he send condolences to Salazar of all people?

Never heard of that one before, but I kind of see it 😂
That’s so accurate
He is massive in this game. In the og he looked a little bit taller than Leon. Here he looks like Queen Alien
3:17 gotta love that Leon line
So is this confirmation that Verdugo was actually the butler? If anyone remembers during Ashley’s segment in the original, you could find the Butler’s memoir. He writes about how Salazar was planning on reviving Las Plagas and how he thought it was wrong, but he chose to serve the Castellan until the end. There was speculation that Verdugo was actually the butler, but it was never confirmed. The gold monocle makes me think that it actually was him after all.
You're onto something!
I though verdugo were female
One Verdugo was the butler, second one was as spanish meaning of word 'Verdugo' clues us in executioner.
The butler who turned into verdugo
Is he the red one or the black one?
@@timotius_sdv Black robed Verdugo never actually attacks Leon (other than throwing the knife in the original) so that's him.
I wish verdugo had more screen time like i had hoped. But at least we received more information about it. The original theory was that the butler volunteered to be in the experiment which is the fusion of insect and human, ultimately becoming Verdugo. And though las plagas was contained within him, he still served Salazar under his own volition. Now in the remake, it was proven true. From theory to reality. I’m happy that one of if not my favourite boss, received more lore.

Sometimes I notice that Verdugo is inspired by Xenomorph. Rather than Tanks, they use a Pipe to leak the Liquid Nitrogen Gas. Kinda looks like Laura fight in Evil Within, but with Freezing Gas rather than Fire.
When U had to dodge the tail attack from the vent and the exact shape of the tail my immediate reaction was questioning if it was a Xenomorph
I love how Leon is more annoyed than terrified 😂
Seriously what do you have to gain by copying @MarketSocialist 's comment nearly word for word?
this reminds me of the laura fight from evil within 2, you have to rotate some valves to turn on the fire to burn her but in this case you use that same method to freeze verdugo, instead of using the cylinders from the original

3:13 I'm pretty sure we did this too when the boss won't dead after tons of ammo wasted
I think that's the first thing that should have been used. Always save that precious MAG ammo for Resident Evil's bosses.
You probably haven't maxed out the power of your guns. I mag dumped with AR, a few grenades then shotgun. It's pretty simple but waste a lot of ammo.

I always thought he was crawling through vents/pipes or even swim in the sewer (where he pops underground).
Glad that Leon's chessy lines have added in this boss fight to feel less tension. Never change, Leon.
I literally couldn't finish him off and I ran away from the fight once the elevator hit. I have to admit I do feel shameful for not finishing him off..

This was transformative from an audio standpoint. I was using headphones with Dolby Atmos. Hearing to perfect precision as he was crawling in the vents above me, or running behind a wall was just something I never experienced with the original due technical limitations. This was the peak boss for me in the original. And they made it even better! Design wise I think making him more buff than the OG isn't as great but it's made up with the atmosphere of the fight.
I don't think they made it better, he is just much slower.
I didn't know you could kill this thing which made for one of the most intense moments I've ever experienced in an RE game. From his visual design, to voice, to the fact that he runs so much faster than you, combined with the slow ass elevator created such an incredibly tense experience.

The moment verdugo red POV cutscene is showing up, will make you want to give up 😂
I just happened to come face to face with this boss recently in the game and I must say this design of the boss is actually how boss should be in games. I mean he's kind of a combination of smart and extraterrestrial being which is terriyfing, one of the most intriguing designed boss I had ever seen. This is when creative teams put all the efforts in to make a memorable boss design.
They made my boy look more badass
its crazy how close the rest of the game is to the original.. i thought from the intro walking up to house and village in the demo it would be unrecognisable but maybe they put all their beans into the introduction and lost steam as they went on. it looks good, but that whole forrest walk had me thinking it was going to be totally redesigned.
This is like a hardcore showdown between a colonial marine and an armored Xenomorph
