terrifying moments aside after all these years I still can't stop laughing with the fact that a goddamn vendor decided to set up his shop down in that hellish pit
This is my favorite boss. It's the most tense, it looks really cool, it's fun to fight, and it has an interesting gimmick to it. I like that you can either kill it or survive until the elevator is ready. It's really hard to kill on professional because of the limited nitrogen tanks.
I always wondered if you're weapons weren't upgraded good enough and not strong enough to defeat verdugo and waited for the elevator! What did verdugo do after Leon got in elevator left without being defeated by Leon? Just wondered around the whole entire steel floor room until someone something else walked into that room for him to fight and kill! And also if you wanted to later on before you got to Salazar can you go back into the room where you left verdugo and he will come back to you attack you and to fight verdugo again if you didn't defeat him?
I decided to give the game a try recently and completed it and this part was terrifying. I didnt even know you could freeze him and kept running around.
I'd like to point out that Verdugo has the highest health of all the enemies in the game at 20,000. This was taken directly from the game file. I fought him on normal and I beat him with 7 hand grenades while he was frozen. Now, Verdugo takes 3 times the regular damage when frozen, so unfrozen, a hand grenade explosion causes 1000 damage. In a battle without the liquid nitrogen canisters, Verdugo could withstand up to 20 grenades before succumbing. Imagine what kind of a fight that would be!
It's still killable even then with those 20 grenade but yeah we don't have that much nitrogen cylinders 😂. Btw tell me about saddler's health in the end battle if you can😉👍
@@fuse5249 I've learned from the game file that Saddler actually has two health pools, one for his form when he's fighting Leon and another for when he collapses due to barrel/grenade explosions, when you shoot out all the eyes on his legs, or being hit by the steel girders. Both pools are 8000 and the pool for when he is in attack mode fully regenerates after every time he gets back up. One thing to keep in mind is that shots to the eye in his mouth in his fallen form do 5x the regular damage.
@@fuse5249 i guess so too. Have you fought Verdugo on Professional setting? From my cross examinations of the pal and Japanese versions, I've also found out that at professional setting, the damage done by all weapons is reduced by 1,25 to all enemies. Mendez for example takes 63 bullets to his spine from an non-upgraded handgun on Professional and 50 on normal and twice that amount to his body on either mode. Do you have any similar experiences?
@@ThePaudiaz i don't know the statistics enough but one thing for sure i know is all the enemies get more hella stronger and like you said that the damage on them is also reduced so i guess maybe they become stronger and at the same time the damage on them is also being reduced which gives us the profesional mode

@@khroxas sure I just think they misstepped by trying to make it too much like the evil within which is more psychological horror. They always had an element of Bmovies which defines the RE series
@@khroxas demake is no where near a masterpiece lmao
@@CrowofYharnam It's time to take these goggles off dude 😂. Remake is great

7:34 Verdugo be like: "Really man? That's all you got?"
When I first played this part, I thought it was impossible to kill him so I ran through the level just surviving his attacks
You know what coming next when you see the typewriter and the merchant at the same time
RE4 was not only a fantastic game it had so many nerve wrecking parts that still hold up today
Verdugo, Regenerators And U-3 Probably The Scariest Enemies In That Game.
Play this game a bunch of times, when I getting bores of this game, I play this again and still got a goosebump. Never using over power weapon to get that feels
0:41 I always loved that part. 🤣
Salazar’s right hand just got a frost bite!
Man, I really need to go back and play this again. So good.
I remember getting that shotgun right before fighting him thinking it would do something. My bullets bounced off this man like I was shooting cement! So yeah soon as that elevator come, I’m gone!! Lol
man I would love a Leon and Ethan team up, killing enemies nonchalantly and making passive aggressive one liners
5:44 I don't even play the game, and yet still scared
This game has one of the coolest bosses
6:55 damn that still scary lol
I just want to see leon, whenever he enters a room with salazar, to be equiped with a weapon and just instantly shoots at him at first sight, no talking, no drama, just bloodshed.
Alright,i know this has nothing to do with resident evil, but was that a jetstream sam reference?
Almost 20round im played this RE4..
Every weapon is fully upgrade..
Last played it since 2016..
I really miss this games..😌😌
Playing RE2 Remake seeing a rookie cop! Now RE4 seeing a John wick 007! Did Leon get the
super soldier serum?!
Tino5135 yes, Wesker Fed Ex’d it to him after Raccoon City.
He was trained by the goverment, makes him a special agent.
He survived a zombie outbreak and took out two Super Tyrants on his first day as a cop. How WOULDN'T he be a complete badass 6 years later with training to protect the President?
Keep the Rocket Launcher. Freeze him in the first room with the Cryo Tank. One shot kill. On to the next one.
Imagine the new voice lines in the remake like @ 0:37. Instead of saying "I won't fall for this old trick." Leon goes "Hope you get tinnitus old man."
Tinnitus?
@@joe4095 a loud high pitched deafening ringing that only the person who has tintinidis can hear
He's not even old, he's 20.
Tinnitus sucks bro. I have tinnitis...it can drive some people to suicide.
The black robe Verdugo, though, yeah, gotta give props for loyalty.
As mentioned in his journal, while he was still human serving as butler for Salazar, he watched Saddler indoctrinate Salazar in the cult. The butler still went with Salazar even though he saw that los illuminados went bad news
My fav childhood game ever missing those days 😢😢
terrifying moments aside after all these years I still can't stop laughing with the fact that a goddamn vendor decided to set up his shop down in that hellish pit
RE4 will never ever be beaten in the RE series. For me it is head and shoulders above the rest.
This is not Resident Evil. Is Castlevania with Guns

7:58 How could the Verdugo just appear there? O.o
Also, while the Verdugo is frozen you can run up to him and kick him, so he falls to the ground.

For a while I didn't know that gas could be used.
And it was most difficult fight ever.
Bro how did i not shit myself playing this as a kid lol
I honestly did not believe that this guy could be killed! I unloaded everything I had and he still didnt drop over!
I decided to give the game a try recently and completed it and this part was terrifying. I didnt even know you could freeze him and kept running around.
Same
I'd like to point out that Verdugo has the highest health of all the enemies in the game at 20,000.
@@ThePaudiaz a quick and great reply dude thx a lot and well that makes verdugo the real boss in this game i guess😂
Now I know why people are terrified of being stalked.....
That feeling when you suddenly start finding too much ammo and herbs.
