This kid really grew up....from a sulky teen to an amazing father, the transformation is just amazing. Although I hope he doesn't lose his identity. Georgie is wonderful the way he is with the texan twang and all :)

Exactly! It’s a nice little part of his character. And who wouldn’t love to inherit something like a nice Texas twang from their father? I hate when parents feel like they have to repress their culture just so they can have a “proper” upbringing for their kids. If no one’s getting harmed, then what’s the problem?

I used to be in management and, as an English speaking Canadian, I pride myself on speaking the King's English not the American dialect. One thing I learned about correcting people whom I spoke to was this simple truth. They might have a brilliant idea in their mind but if you continually correct their speech it could go unnoticed simply because they fear to speak up in front of you for fear of looking uneducated................. Listen to what they say and ignore their accent or language barriers. Treat them as an equal and bend your mind to understand what it is that they are saying. You'll get a lot further in life and meet some truly great folks along the way.

    • @Cincelia

I agree I noticed if I just spend more time with them smf of more people around them speak in a similiar manner then the person with the strong dialect starts to mimic the same way we speak without a single person trying to correct that person, it reminds me when americans like madonna who spend a lot of time in england just starts to adopt the same accent and slang. Its not even intentional its just how we fit in over time

she makes a good point though, if other native speakers of English can't understand the east texan/Indian accent maybe you should speak in a more "standard" way so that other people can understand. It's nothing to do with Georgie's English.
