As the show winds down, there are not many more chances to use Paige. Boy, was this a missed opportunity. In "Gifted," Octavia was essentially Paige's mom. Not her real mom, of course, but her real mom was dead and Octavia lived next door, so Octavia pretty much became Paige's mom. They could have worked that into this show. That movie is probably how McKenna got the role on this show to begin with (I have no proof of that claim but the movie came out in 2017 and her first appearance on this show was in 2018 so it's a logical conclusion to come to) and this episode was a chance to show us Octavia's role in Paige's life. Instead, they made Octavia a parole officer and no sign of Paige in this episode. Missed opportunity.
Instead of the Georgie/Mandy storylines, which they could have transferred into their new series, they should write a conclusion the Paige and final emotional moments between Sheldon and his dad. I hope we get at least the latter in the final episodes. And like in the show Missy seems to be forgotten by the writers. She doesn't seem to have important roles anymore.
