It seems to me like they are trying to combine ATS/ETS with Spintires/Mudrunner. In general i would love to have a australian truck simulation since i loved to drive in 18WoS ET2 in Australia.
I drive roadtrains in Western Australia and what they showed in the short video is nothing like our dirt roads down here, we have red gravel roads with bull dust potholes, corrigations , washouts from heavy rain and swollen river crossings.
🥕Dangling the carrot is a fine line the landscapes change since then. In the world of consoles we have all been burnt so many times we are all a weary bunch by now. I just want Alaskan Road Truckers to do one more update for textures. I live in Australia would love nothing more than a truck sim set in a perfect long haul setting, Road Trains, Small Gas Stations Corrugated iron sheds rest stops, kangaroos, dingos .... If it gets full release ill buy it. Now about the beard. 👌10/10 mighty beard that was.
I have always had faith in the company , and still believe in them !! Rome wasn't built in a bloody day neither will this game , Looking forward to it .
After using flycam and flying over areas and cities, I stopped playing ATS lol. My brain just couldn't recover after seeing that. Flycam has scarred me for life lol
Jay your totally correct that puddle is just shocking..and its taken them 4 years to get to that..by my reckoning I look forward to game coming out in 2055 lol..keep up the good work though mate!!!
As long as ATS/ETS is blown out of the water by competition .... because SCS is stagnation fest by my book .. and i am sim truckin since 2002 Kinf of The road.
I thought initially it looked ok, then there was as you say, no pushing of the water as the tyres go through and no dust through the gravel. But you also don’t have any dirt or dust kicking up on Alaskan, no tyres kicking up spray from wet roads. The tyres don’t even leave a trail in the dirt roads. The truck taking off like 18 wheels arcade is also unrealistic, at least the base truck in Alaska feels somewhat heavy with a trailer. Especially on hills. I have a love hate relationship with Alaska right now, over 60 hours, a corrupt first save of 45 hours. Countless bugs. It still has tons of have potential. But has so many bugs that desperately need fixing. So for me, Australia, and as you say the communication has been so low or non existent, I can’t get my hopes up anymore. I think in some ways we have been so lucky having Snowrunner in our lives. That’s kinda the bar we are looking for with terrain. Mind you a road trucking game doesn’t need that level of detail, but if Smowrunner ever used their engine to make a road truck game with the odd road beaten up, or dirt roads, they even have ice roads. Add jumping out the truck and walking around the beautiful world of snowrunner and it would be and amazing experience. Alas I digress.
You said it perfectly. Footage was at best lame. I had high hopes for this game as I'm in Australia and there is so much potential... But this is poor at best and have given us n xt to nothing. And 4 years is a long night wait. Give us something to build our interest and confidence in the game not a short lame video. They could have taken more care with their audience.
I had high hopes for this it doesn't look like it is the finest of what the first trailer looked alot better if they want people to enjoy it they need to put a better trailer and to speak to the community to see wat the players want into a game like this
It's very disappointing and I think they missed the boat now if I'm honest but then again Alskain truck Driver on PS5 is not without its faults and syncing issue (what might be just my issue)
When this was first announced it looked good Australian version of euro truck and american truck simulator where we got to travel the whole of the Australian continent now we just have a scaled down version and that's all this very disappointing really I fail to see how they can recover from this this is so poor from a developer I certainly won't be showing any interest in it 😞
Really looking forward to this game but now I think I will be continuing with ats and ets2. If this is how long the developer takes to release the game I can't see them very good with support or improving the game in the future.
Definitely will still give it a chance when we're finally graced by this one. But I had also forgotten about this game until this video 😂 So far, looks like my 7090 will run it with no issues though just fine...one day...hopefully.. in a distant future...🫢😉🤣
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below, i'm interested to see if your enthusiasm for this game is still there!

Looks good, will buy at release
@scssoftware really need to consider making a Australian Truck Simulator title

I would be interested in how they implement road trains, something very unique to Australia.

I really want it it looks amazing
I'm still interested in road trains... I guess we'll have to wait and see
Can't wait for console release im playing Alaska truck trivet now and I hope this is better and more fun

You do such a great job of not just coming out and saying how sh*t it looks 🤣.
But I know you thought it🤣
Lol. Well you never know, they may prove us wrong! I hope you are doing well mate. How's the hill climbing car coming along?
Hi is when will he release the Australian truck game on console?
Dry gravel? You can see water puddles in it :)
To be fair, connecting the legs and air lines soon becomes tedious
My guess is When they take long time development the properly mean the game will be way more realistic

Cant be any worse than alaskan truck on xbox s

As an Australian, don't get excited about this game

It smells of truck driver again. Too many clues that it will release crappy for a money grab and then do nothing with it.
Definitely will still give it a chance when we're finally graced by this one.
