I just recovered from covid and I had brain fog and confusion. It was terrifying as I'm a Software Engineer and there was no way I could work being in that condition and I have a family to take care of. I had trouble focusing, dizziness, felt my brain was cloudy, in the evenings it got worse. Some mornings I felt normal for an hour or two. I spoke with a Dr from my Church who explained that my body was seriously lacking essential vitamins and minerals as well as being very dehydrated after fighting covid. I got an IV and a bag of fluid and started taking vitamins that he recommended. Within two days my mind was sharp. Praise God! There is hope, don't give up!
What u got I dint understand u
@@fifun8479 My body was needing water and vitamins and minerals. I will post a list of what I'm taking when I get home from work.
It was the same for me at night the brain fog would feel worse Fasting with Juicing helped me a lot with talking lots of vitamins
@@fifun8479 My post with my link got removed so here is what I'm currently taking but you should talk to your Dr. first especially if you currently take other medications.
• B Complex (B12 + Methyl Folate) 1 Tablet daily
• Melatonin 10 mg @ bedtime daily
• NAC 1 Tablet 2x per day
• Vitamin C 1000 mg 2-3x per day
• Aspirin (As a blood thinner for clotting) 325 mg daily
• D3 2 Tablets 5000 IU each daily
• Multivitamin (gummies) 4x daily
• Selenium 1 Tablet (200 mcg) daily
• Zinc (15:1 ratio w/copper) 1 Tablet daily
• L Carnitine Twice a day (1000 mg each)
• Quercetin 500 mg daily
• Magnesium 400 mg daily
@@1Jesusislord Glad you were able to recover! It was very scary not knowing if it was going to be permanent or if it would take months to recover as some articles and even the Dr. at the ER told me it might take. I was going to try Juicing as well but I started improving so ended up not needing to but I've heard that Juicing is great for healing.
I had covid 19 three times and I’m still struggling with brain fog. I can’t do simple things like cooking and planing to travel and also having hard time having a clear conversation with others

Man! You said more than any doctor has ever said. Thank you.
Really appreciate you putting together this video. I'm about 8 months into Covid and this brain fog is definitely worse than any other symptom (pneumonia, coughing, fever...). Most videos seem like news reports, but I really enjoyed how you dug into the topic and explained possible explanations from a scientific perspective.
Thank you! It's definitely tough to know why it's a symptom, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth exploring!
Are you still suffering from brain fog? I got covid in January, had persistent brain fog for almost 2 months, and now it comes and goes as it pleases
@@luizbezerra4373 Hey Luiz! I'm sorry to hear that you had this as well! It SUCKS! I was in the come & go phase for about 9 months. Only after then has it gotten better. I'm now back to normal - no more issues! Finally!!! Keep faith and good luck!
@@vdr333 I also have had it for a few months now, im 33 and healthy other then potentially having covid last year when it first hit main stream. I sometimes feel like my sense of direction is off. I have to look around for a second and then it goes away. memory is off, and also hard to find words sometimes. its very scary that no one talks about this much. I find that healthy eating, lots of rest and good eating the last week has seemed to help slightly, not sure what the cure is.
@@xKevmachinex sorry man, I feel your pain. I find that eliminating distractions, working in bursts, minimizing phone usage, and eating healthy along with proper rest help. Did you recover from brain fog,its been 9 months, please reply??
@@gardenmenuuu I'm not the one to ask as I suffer from other disorders. I will say my taste and sense of smell returnrd. The burning sensation in my brain ceased as well. Are you still suffering?
Holy sh*t! I thought I was going crazy. I can’t say exactly when it started but I know it was after my pretty mild case of covid. Noticeable trouble thinking clearly, forgetting or screwing up simple everyday tasks. I was forgetting to punch in and out at work. My boss was really getting angry and I couldn’t understand how I could keep forgetting this simple task. I still can’t follow/comprehend semi complicated work problems like writing programs or math. Typing/writing/spelling is really bad too. I type, read and reread multiple times and still miss the most basic spelling and grammar mistakes.
I went through a divorce last year and it was very stressful that involved quitting a job, moving to another state, starting another job, living in a shitty apartment etc. Just a really bad year. I thought it was due to all that stress but I don’t remember feeling this out of touch with reality until after covid. I exercise like crazy (triathlon training) and I eat healthy and really try to get enough sleep. I really thought this was the beginning of Alzheimer’s. I am so glad this appears to be covid related. I’m not saying it’s great news but knowing it’s not just me is a small relief.
New new routine will be meditation, math and puzzle solving. For me I should include slow, but accurate typing. Maybe I should try to start my Spanish lessons…..
I think it is way better to keep increasing your knowledge and your language(s) in general, together with arithmetics. Because, as it naturally happens in cognitive decline associated with age, that is debatable whether doing puzzles may reverse the deficits in fluid, sharp, organic reasoning (what is related tightly to learning) or not
Also I would like to ask..have you taken the jab? Because in my opinion most of these health problems started after the roll out of the first 💉 💉 💉 I see on here no body is mentioning the jab, that's a bit strange!
I was vaccinated in April 2021. No booster. I had no symptoms at all (9 months) until I got covid in Jan 2022. It was a relatively mild case. I was home for 3 days with body aches and such. I started getting symptoms around Feb and it got worse as time went by. By April it was pretty bad.
It seems to be slightly better in the last two weeks or so. 🤞
Great job on explaining the mechanisms!
I am 12 weeks post - covid and suffering with continued brain fog and cognitive impairments. I feel like it’s an out of body experience a lot of the time. Desperately hoping I recover eventually. It’s life inhibiting. It’s helpful to read other peoples experiences to know that I’m not alone.

I am a student of maths. Before covid I was sharp and creative after covid in 2020 and again in 22 my mind is not as sharp, i'm overwhelmed easily which makes it difficult to finish a task, i have memory lapses and i'm not able to visualise concepts this is because Covid is a different virus, our body gets exhausted and inflamed which results in neurological symptoms. However, i believe that your body has the power to heal itself..it may take time to heal but we can fasten the process by :
-getting good quality sleep
-reducing screen time
-brain exercises, drinking more water, physical exercise
-and eating foods rich in anti-oxidants/anti-inflammatory properties.
I just recovered from covid (the omicron I think) and feel fine after but now I have this brain fog that comes and goes through the day since I was sick. So far it’s only been a few days, but like how can I go back to work like this? My fog seems to be mild (maybe cuz I got vaccinated and went through a similar brain fog) than those you mentioned in the video, and I can still function. But I just can’t read for too (I love reading), write, or feel much emotions. My brother said he had this too, but it went away after a month. I’m praying for the same, but I just feel alone. I don’t have many friends. I always spend my time reading and writing stories or at work. But since COVID last week, I’ve felt alone. I’m getting my booster for sure cuz I don’t want this shit ever again

Hello?
I didn't have covid, but, I started noticing this a couple weeks after the vaccine (moderna) I am having trouble with small problem solving, loss of words, and sometimes forgetting what I'm saying right in the middle of saying it. Sad that I'm not the only one, but, happy I'm not the only one.
I got it from Moderna as well. 89 days now
@@cashstore1 I have read that it could be caused from inflammation. So, I took a couple ibuprofen, and seemed to help. It seemed to help. I have not had any fog for a while now. I hope you kick it, as well.
The double "seemed to help" is an inside joke... sorry
@@cashstore1 Moderna vaccine here too. I also have pressure in my frontal lobe and a metallic smell sometimes. This all started after getting the vaccine.
Wait i’m 17 and i gotten the Pfizer Vaccine. Because they said it’s not good for me to get moderna. I’m worried because it’s been more than 5 days and the first day it happened everything didn’t feel real and days later i’m just finding out it is brain fog. I hate it.
Currently experiencing this. It's so horrible I hope it goes away soon. Especially since I'm in the education field, my mind is everything. I won't be able to work if this persists.

Brain “fog” just doesn’t even begin to cover it. It is so much more than “fog”. It’s serious, it’s frustrating, it’s frightening, it’s confusing. I’ve completely lost words, thoughts, memory where I was going or what I was doing. I couldn’t remember the words for foods I was trying to order. I had to ask my husband what certain items were called while I pointed at pictures. I forgot the name “St. Patrick’s Day”, I tried to describe it as “the green day”. It comes and goes. I think I am better then it’s back.
I forgot how to write letters and I couldnt use a ruler to measure. I'm a brainiac usually so this is waaaaay off my normal. Andit is bizzare! Hope all goes well with you.

HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) is used for brain fog due to head injury (concussion) and stroke. Dr. Hammesphar in Florida has treated 8 year-old stroke successfully. Joe Namath in Jupiter, Florida has treated 30 year-old football brain concussion with HBOT.
Hammesphar has said that in a stroke, the brain cells do not die, they go to sleep, as in surgical anesthesia. Anyone who has had surgery might benefit from HBOT, and COVID ventilator patients also due to the strong anesthesia.
When your daily routine is suddenly impaired its difficult to get thru the day. Its an invisible barrier to function from day to day. If anyone has suffered with this, please share what has helped you get your mental clarity back ? I appreciate your advice, info and tips

I feel like I've been there and done that .
What a crazy feeling?
Just spent 18 months unable to work, go outside, go upstairs, think, turn a screwdriver or listen to loud noise, be in the sun light and other strange behavior avoidance. The VA speculated it was post viral sickness and will not help. I had a mild case of covid way back and have had numerous viral infection over the decades which I believe contributes to the problem. This post viral mental disease is horrible. Finally found a doctor who offered some different experimental strategies. This week after one month of chemicals I am better. I think there is hope. It makes sense what the video is saying.
Can you tell me what treatment your doctor offered you? Or medicine?

But now in february 2021 guess what , I feel brain fog about 2 weeks or so, strong or mild. I've been telling this to people that I know. Everyone said must've something with oxygen to brain , or blood density. So now I came to realize this is what a LOT of (about 30%) of people expereince.

Under diagnosed Gluten Intolerance disorder may be causing the long term Covid. The symptoms of GI are. very similar as the LT Covid. People may have mild GI, then with the Covid infection, the underlying inflammation is increased that much more. A study would be helpful to measure the impact of gluten free diet on the long term Covid. It might be a key to recovery for some people.
I have been Gluten-Free for several years. After having Co-Vid in December 2021, my symptoms never stopped.. I have had Long C0-Vid for 10 months. My symptom that is always present is Fatigue. Even though I have had my shots for covid my brain now is feeling like I've been there and done that if anyone knows what I mean.
I had a question on brain fog, can you still formulate thoughts and ideas when experiencing this condition?
Yes I have it now. Just harder
For sure! I can't speak for others, but in my case it feels more like an inability to focus and lethargy. I also find myself sometimes forgetting what was JUST mentioned in a conversation. Memory is otherwise intact, as is my cognitive ability and logical ability. There are certain triggers and nights are definitely better than daytime. It's like I have the option of two speeds - either race and produce like crazy or be stuck on pause. I find it helpful to stay stimulated through conversation, running, reading, or working. Hope this helps!
@@vdr333 Thank you for that! It definitely helps. So your basically saying there’s plenty of ways to formulate thoughts and ideas and cope with brain fog you just can’t worry about stressing about it because that can make it worse?
@@brettclow852 Hey man - I'm not a doctor so can't give medical advice. From what I'm experiencing though, my overall cognitive ability hasn't diminished. Just go into "funks" where I lose my train of thought mid-conversation, or zone out for a few hours without being able to focus. Might be different for everyone but yeah - I don't stress about it and am creative/productive now as ever!
Yes but i can formulate this right now. I think that it's more hard to formulate new thoughts. Most of our minds are constantly repeating same BS you were thinking before. I think brainfog will limit my ability to formulate new viewpoints but then again i formulated this while having brain fog.
