Bogert Aviation boxes are not only cheaper but far superior in quality highly recommend! Thanks for sharing this video.

These battery boxes from Bogert Aviation are the real deal. They are 5 times the quality at less than 1/2 the price of a new box from Piper! Don't let battery acid leaking from your battery box ruin your investment.

With any luck, Bogert Aviation will soon have an STC for stainless steel battery boxes for 14 volt Cessna 150, 172, 180, 182 and 185 that were built prior to 1978. Cessna went to 24 volt systems in 1978 and on.

We will have a video about Cessna battery boxes soon. We currently have battery boxes approved for the Cessna 150, 172, 180,182, 185 and 188 Ag.

I had major damage in my PA24 because of battery acid leaking out of the old box. Someone had put a clamp on the drain tube. I have known about the Bogert Aviation battery boxes for a couple of years. I wish now that I had changed mine out then. It would have been a lot cheaper.

I don't doubt these boxes are of good quality but I am curious what makes them worth $1059. Is it a matter of "it's aviation... That's what we can charge so we do"
I am not new to aviation, marine, medical grade pricing but sometimes I really question why something is priced like it is. If the original (gold standard) box would allow an acid proof plastic liner to be inserted and hooked to a proper drain we wouldn't have anything to wonder about on the topic.
