സമയത്തെ, കാലത്തെ അതിജീവിച്ച് ചിരഞ്ജീവികളായിത്തീരുന്ന ചില കലാസൃഷ്ടികളുണ്ട്. അത്തരത്തിലൊന്നാണ് രവീന്ദ്രൻ മാഷിന്റെ 'ദേവസഭാതലം.' ആദ്യമായി കേട്ട അന്നുമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെ , ഓരോ കേൾവിയിലും രോമാഞ്ചം നൽകുന്ന അത്ഭുത ഗാനം.
കൈതപ്രം മാഷിന്റെ തേനൂറും വരികൾ കൊണ്ടും രവീന്ദ്രൻ മാഷിന്റെ ഐന്ദ്രജാലിക സംഗീതം കൊണ്ടും, ദാസേട്ടന്റെ അഭൗമ നാദധാര കൊണ്ടും, കൂടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച ഓരോരോ സംഗീതപ്രതിഭകളുടെയും ഉന്നതശ്രേണിയിലുള്ള പ്രകടനം കൊണ്ടും, സിബി മലയിൽ സാറിന്റെ അഭ്രപാളികളിലെ കരവിരുതു കൊണ്ടും, സർവോപരി, ലാലേട്ടന്റെ അമാനുഷിക പ്രകടനം കൊണ്ടും ജനമനസ്സുകളിൽ അശ്വമേധം നടത്തിയ ഗാനം. കേട്ട ആദ്യമാത്രയില്‍ തന്നെ ഗംഭീരം എന്ന് മനസ്സു പറഞ്ഞ ഗാനം.
അതിൽ ലാലേട്ടന്റെയും രവിയേട്ടന്റെയും ശബ്ദത്തിനൊപ്പം മുഴങ്ങിക്കേട്ട 'സുജിത്' എന്ന പുതിയ ശബ്ദം, 'ക്ഷണക്കത്ത്' ഒരുക്കിയ 'ശരത്' തന്നെയെന്ന് കുറച്ചു നാളുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് മനസ്സിലായത്, ശ്രീ രവി മേനോൻ എഴുതിയ ഒരു കുറിപ്പിലൂടെ. ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ സവിശേഷതകൾ പലരും പലയിടത്തും പറഞ്ഞതും എഴുതിയതുമെല്ലാം കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. സ്വയം രവീന്ദ്രൻ മാഷ് തന്നെ ഇത് വിവരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ, അതിനേക്കാളെല്ലാം വിശദമായി , സമഗ്രമായി, എന്നാൽ ലളിതമായി ഇത്രയധികം വിശദാംശങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കുന്നത് ശരത്തേട്ടനിൽ നിന്നാണ്. അതോടൊപ്പം അസാധ്യമായ ആലാപനവും. സ്വയം മറന്ന് ലയിച്ചിരുന്നു പോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ മുഴുവനാകില്ല. ധന്യനായി ശരത്തേട്ടാ, ഇതിൽപ്പരം മറ്റെന്തു വേണം ഒരാരാധകന് !

സംഗീത പ്രേമികൾക്ക് ഈ പാട്ട് ലോക അത്ഭുതങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്. മലയാളത്തിൽ ദക്ഷിണമുർത്തി ആണ് കൂടുതൽ രാഗമലിക പാട്ടുകളുണ്ടാക്കിയത് എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു എങ്കിലും ഈ പാട്ട് തികച്ചും വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്. സാദാരണ ഒരു പാട്ടിലുപരി നമുക്ക് കണ്ണടച്ച് ആസ്വദിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയുള്ള പാട്ട്. ഒടുവിൽ പാട്ടിന്റെ അവസാനം സന്തോഷത്തിന്റെ അശ്രുക്കൾ. ജീവിതം ധന്യമാകാൻ മറ്റെന്തു വേണം.

I was one among many of your fans who keep on searching in the past so many years to see any new releases of your singing on youtube but often have to go disappointed. As you have said, he is a master singer with such a booming voice and great knowledge of Carnatic music.
