Candace is the perfect example that men being better in athletics does not have to be something viewed as sexist. Candace accepts the fact that there are male basketball players who are better than her, and she uses them to her advantage to improve herself. Mad respect

She definitely a baller, but yeah. she's also a whiney complainer wanting accolades and payment that isn't warranted by any professional business standards. She might as well petition the government (democrats) for grants if she wants to make anything like the NBA players do.
I actually like Candace Parker, she seems down to earth. If you’re comparing her to an NBA player obviously she’s going to be worse, that’s just the nature of men and women in sports. Men are naturally bigger, faster, and stronger, but this doesn’t mean she’s not one of the best at what she does.
For sure! Don’t know why people try to compare females to men. Theirs a reason their in their own leagues. I hate people who put down other peoples hard work. If they put in the time and sweat, then that’s what counts👍

It was probably the most fun I’d had when playing sports. I improved a lot because they weren’t afraid to give it their all, I kept up with them pretty well. PE coach even did Basketball tournaments at our school and I would team with some of the guys I played at lunch with. Our team won and it was hella fun. 👍
I guess the reason the WNBA sucks is because the girls that are picked for the league are incompetent to play at that level. Their layup success rate is as low as a middle school league

I'm surprised that you all don't know this: but this is exactly what happens; WNBA teams practice against whole teams of "practice" men because there aren't enough WNBA calibre players out there to challenge the starters. So this wasn't some "random" guy; he was straight off the team's male practice squad.
As a former practice player for a D1 women’s team-that isn’t some “random” guy. They won’t just bring in some bum off the street, you gotta be a bucket (and be in great shape) because the whole idea is for them to play against tougher competition. I can guarantee that he was a former college hooper, maybe a pro. Most women’s basketball teams college or pro have guys that do this.

I used to practice at times with our D1 women's team. I was 6'4" 198lbs...could touch the top of the box off of a vertical, and was quicker than their point guards. There was no comparison physically, and athletically. But, I will say most of them were better BASKETBALL PLAYERS than me. And, they were just a decent Big10 team. They were better fundamentally, and were better with spacing, and shooting. They just needed the additional physical challenge to get better. Candace Parker is several levels above any of those players I played with. It would have been fun to play with her.
Women are physiologically different from men. That’s just a scientific fact. I don’t really understand the motivation behind the narrative of the video, which seems to be trying to make a point about inequality of the sexes or putting down the women’s league. Men and women being equal is about our status as human, thinking beings, with will and intelligence. Testosterone levels and muscle production have nothing to do with that. Trying to compare the NBA and WNBA directly is just a farce. If LeBron had access to a type of player who was superior physiologically to anyone else on his league, he would have leveraged them to practice as well.
Trying to compare the NBA and WNBA directly is a farce, but we always get to hear from WNBA players about how their salary doesn't compare directly to the NBA
I graduated from UT the semester before she started. One of the guys that lived near us was on the practice squad for the women's team. He said most dudes on the squad were decent in high school, a couple had D3 offers but no outstanding talent. He said they would routinely thrash them in practice, and the assistant coaches would tell them to tone it down or make rules where they had to make 5 passes before shooting or only use offhand to "even it up".
She is a great great player. But people don't realise how big of a difference between a man and a woman is. Any decent high school male player would be one of the best if not the best player in women's basketball.
Uhmmm....He was playing defense like how I used to play with my Son and his friends when they were in their early teens. Fast forward 3 years later when they are 18-19 and 6'2'"-6'6" and all playing college ball at various levels and its a different story. Candace is an All-Time great Women's player, but we all know there are 100's of teen boys on the AAU circuit (future D1's and Pros) that would give her work on the court at their age now...AND you know goodness well there are 1000's of Men in their mid 20's and early 30's that played college ball and didn't make it to the NBA all over the country that are still in top athletic condition and still have game that would dominate any Woman on a court. Men and Women are DIFFERENT ATHLETICALLY! I don't understand why people just won't accept that anymore...its not looking down on or degrading Women at all, Its just stating the obvious...men didn't do this to women, and Femenism can't deny the fact that DNA makes us vastly different when it comes to PHYSICAL ABILITIES! Remember when Brittany Griner said she could beat Demarcus Cousins...yes that pre-career ending injuries, All-NBA Team Demarcus Cousins! And you could tell from the bottom of her heart that she REALLY believed what she was saying! Demacus is 6'11 and 270lbs, strong as an Ox, and way quicker that her...even AFTER he blow out his knee! He would have obliterated Brittany Griner...hell he would have beat 2 Brittany Griner's in a game of 2on1 by himself.
WNBA like women’s pro soccer, has the same problem. The problem with each sport is, it isn’t exciting like pro men’s. The feminists that use the wnba in arguments, most of time can’t name a pro female or team.
I mean she's an awesome female player...I watch her and I know she'd tear me up. Sometimes these ladies seem so slow and uncoordinated that it makes me think I'd compete with them in my younger days. I don't get that feeling, delusional or not, when I watch her
In the practice, they may have been doing walkthroughs and going through sets. every practice isnt an all out scrimage, especially at the professional level. Secondly, I think it's less about the skills the guy has and more about the body. She looks like she might be the second tallest person on the team if not the tallest. So she might need someone to be able to block her vision like someone else who's 6'5 with some agility. If you saw the nba players doing it, it would most likely be a coach with a body shield and an extended stick, because its not like NBA players just play one-on-one after practice. And the coaches arent trying to stop the player from scoring, they're there to simulate contact and obstacles. I think the way the producers framed this process is unfair to her as a pro athlete.
It should be mentioned that Candace’s father was a Big Ten basketball player at Iowa and her brother was an NBA player so her skills have been sharpened by men since childhood.
I really like her attitude. She seems almost like she’s up for practicing with someone worse, and looking to improve regardless of her opponent. She seems amazing
This girl who was on the Puerto Rican national team showed up a few times to my LA Fitness and we got a chance to play 32 and 1’s and at first I was surprised at how quick she was. If I wasn’t locked in then she could hit a step back on me…she could shoot lights out. Mind you…I never even played high school but I’m 6’ 3” 200 lbs and I have a fairly nasty first step. After I played her the first time though I figured her out and she basically didn’t score ever again after that except once in 5 on 5, and she didn’t have a prayer at guarding me. I also remember at 19 yrs old playing against the girls point guard on the Northwestern team, and she could score on me again a couple times but she had no prayer of stopping me. I was a band geek at the time…and I remember one of my fellow trombone players getting triggered when I casually mentioned in conversation that I had played this girl in pickup basketball and was surprised that she scored a few times on me. He got soooo mad…saying I was full of shit and that there’s no way I could beat a D1 athlete etc…and I was so arrogant. This is the typical social justice warrior leftist warped reality that we live in now…where simply pointing out the biological differences between men and women makes you sexist or mysoginistic. He is a Northwestern engineer, building bridges…operating in mathematical reality, but yet couldn’t do the same apparently when it came to biology. Amazing!!! 😂 Candace is a great player who would beat me in 1’s almost certainly, but would I score a few buckets? Yes 100%. Would any professional male basketball player in almost any league in the world beat her? The answer is also yes
I throughly enjoy Women's Basketball, it definitely makes good entertainment. Their fight for equal pay with the men, should be abandoned. Even now, every women's team is losing money. Some who claim the women have same ball skills as men, need to be really honest.

Dude was playing such loose defense. That's the problem when play against women in a competitive sport: the men don't want to get too "handsy" or show up the woman.
I played basketball in hs, college, and in germany and playing men always made me better i feel like its so much a difference. Im 5’9ish and at my height men are so athletic whereas i play more tall positions. But playing men helped me really get down my passing and post moves. I dont think that its just wnba players being behind. I think its just the physical difference between men and women.
Used to scrimmage against Becky Hammond in HS when she was at the peak of her career. She fit in pretty good with our small town team, she might have started, maybe not...
I’m glad she looks to men to up her game and stuff. Takes a strong woman to admit that. There is plenty of delusional women that think we are the same. Bitch we ain’t the same.
She is an excellent womens basketball player. No reason for this guy to turn on his A level defense when she is clearly looking to improve, not get beaten up.
I used to do this back in the day, in the early 90's at the college I went to, was asked to come practice with the woman's team to give them extra competition. We were not paid anything, not only that it literally meant doing the entire practice with them as well, like the hill running (in arizona in the heat), doing the drills, lifting weights...so it was not just playing pick up basketball or something..
@JDAWG! Come On Man! Parker chose a 'male athlete' bc males are naturally faster, stronger & jump higher than females. Whatever she can get over on a male she'll destroy females with. It's an extremely old training strategy used by females to keep their game tight. For real dude.

You def don’t ball
You got me at “he is doing a good job of simulating the WNBA defense” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm surprised that you all don't know this: but this is exactly what happens; WNBA teams practice against whole teams of "practice" men because there aren't enough WNBA calibre players out there to challenge the starters. So this wasn't some "random" guy; he was straight off the team's male practice squad.
Thanks for clarifying that because there is so much bias, ignorance and hate against them.
@@mglasperhsrc what bias?
As a former practice player for a D1 women’s team-that isn’t some “random” guy. They won’t just bring in some bum off the street, you gotta be a bucket (and be in great shape) because the whole idea is for them to play against tougher competition. I can guarantee that he was a former college hooper, maybe a pro. Most women’s basketball teams college or pro have guys that do this.
thank you. These ppl are so sexist
@@dariuswhite3285 it’s not really about that for me,I might even be a little sexist myself. But it makes me laugh when 99% of the people in the comment section aren’t athletes and think they can talk as though they are 😂I don’t talk about stuff I know nothing about.
@@MarsRacingNetwork yeah he wasn't rly playing defense anyways so it doesn't matter. He would 100% win if he tried and I'm not saying that as a matter of opinion, if he was at one point a college or even highschool pro, he would've swept her 10-0
I used to practice at times with our D1 women's team.
@@dariuswhite3285 You're kind of a weirdo.
I gotta say, much respect to her. She wants to get better and she seems really motivated too.
cant see how she will improve by playing a guy whos not even trying to stop her
I graduated from UT the semester before she started.
She’s one of the wnba players I respect
None of them respect you soooo....
@@ZPLS18 damn who hurt you?
She is a great great player. But people don't realise how big of a difference between a man and a woman is. Any decent high school male player would be one of the best if not the best player in women's basketball.
Candace is a future Hall of Famer, one of the best female basketball players ever. She's about at the level of a backup college men's player.
That's what I was. I don't know if I could have beat her or not. I'm only 6 even, so she definitely has the height advantage.
Can’t wait until her daughter drop step dunks lol

He's obviously fake jumping 🤣🤣
Why does it feel like you’re trying to tear her down in the video.
If she trained with a NBA player or former NBA guy, that would definitely helped her get better.
Is this sarcasm or?
Her brother was in nba
@@pleasebuffminer2700 she played with her brother who’s in the nba …
I don't understand why people just won't accept that anymore...its not looking down on or degrading Women at all,
Its just stating the obvious...men didn't do this to women, and Femenism can't deny the fact that DNA makes us vastly different when it comes to PHYSICAL ABILITIES!
5:19 was that not a travel 🤨
He’s taking it easy on her 😂🤣😂🤣
I would be impressed if the guy at least went half speed
When he says he's not defending but just being stationary and a WNBA defender, that bill also fits present day NBA.
How
Candace Parker is a respectable basketball player, from I know she's a beast he I've never really seen her out in the media like that being outrageous
Put Jrue Holiday on her guaranteed she's not getting a single bucket
WNBA like women’s pro soccer, has the same problem. The problem with each sport is, it isn’t exciting like pro men’s. The feminists that use the wnba in arguments, most of time can’t name a pro female or team.
One on one is what keeps the game pure.. focus... you against you.... man or woman... athlete is athlete ... busting some class.
"There's no in-between" 😂💔
The guy playing dummy defense is no different then the coach pushing the crash pads into you to learn to finish with contact

2:50 come on dawg that's not what she said

The WNBA has major Marketing issues . They don’t market enough towards young women .

just like how womens tennis is different from the mens, but still popular in its own right
WNBA can be popular somewhat, i heard shaq say that by simply lowing the ring and introducing dunks, and let the girls be athletic within the confines of their biology, it can be a respectable sport
When i saw the sub file for talent was empty i laughed till i cried. Man really, that was awesome.

So that’s who Candace is....
Dude was playing such loose defense. That's the problem when play against women in a competitive sport: the men don't want to get too "handsy" or show up the woman.

So is the dude gonna play any defense or...?
I used to do this back in the day, in the early 90's at the college I went to, was asked to come practice with the woman's team to give them extra competition. We were not paid anything, not only that it literally meant doing the entire practice with them as well, like the hill running (in arizona in the heat), doing the drills, lifting weights...so it was not just playing pick up basketball or something..
