For me, the big difference is that the WNBA dunks are all uncontested. The fact that someone is trying to stop the NBA dunk, and gets posterized anyways is what makes them iconic(enough that they invented a term to describe it).
The women, meanwhile, all look like they're just standing around, letting it happen. No grit, no toughness, no pressure
As much as I enjoy the WNBA, it will never come close to the product the NBA puts out until they enforce a tougher style of play, and expect them to play like professional ballers that are women, instead of female professional ballers

The fact is the WNBA does not even make a profit, while the NBA is one of the most popular professional sports leagues on the planet. Btw, for those who didn't know, the WNBA has a total of about 29 dunks. That's TOTAL since it was founded in '96 and that's across 7 players, the only ones who've even managed the "feat". The NBA has a total of "who-cares" because it happens literally all the time in every game. It'd be like counting how many times you blink in a day. But a solid stat is the fact that Rude Gobert (Utah Jazz) leads the league with 155 dunks just for the 2022 season.

Isn’t it crazy how the best, most athletic female basketball players in the world are only about as athletic as the average teenage boy? Just doesn’t make sense to me. If you look at someone like Serena Williams, even if her athleticism isn’t really on the level of the elite male tennis players like Nadal or Thiem, she’s still a very good athlete and decently strong. I’d expect the best WNBA athletes to be better than this.

Why do people think you can just create money out of thin air to pay these WNBA players? The amount of revenue they draw in is directly correlated to the amount of money they make. They don’t make less money because their women they make less money because they create a bad product that no one is buying. Same situation with the USMNT and USWNT. The men’s team creates 4 billion in revenue while the women’s team creates about 70 million. I'm all for women equality, but this is ridiculous. There is no way they should get paid even close to NBA players. All 30 NBA teams overall value is over 1 BILLION dollars, with 3 teams valued over 3 billion. WNBA has never made a profit in their history. They are only still a league because the NBA keeps them afloat and supports them financially and covers their losses. If each NBA team only made a few million a year, their players would obviously be paid A LOT less. Attendance for WNBA games is the lowest it's been in 10 years, and they cant seem to figure out how to promote it. There main focus last couple years has been to promote and lure in the gay community (Nothing wrong with that) but how big is the community? Obviously not enough to raise attendance or TV viewership. Lastly, their main reason for failing is that it's just not a good product. The reason (I believe) people love pro sports so much, is that they can watch athletes perform and do feats that they would never be able to do. That's not the case with the WNBA. It's just boring, slow and not impressive at all. The most popular women's sports are tennis, golf and soccer. Any professional woman is those sports would destroy most men (non professional) in their sport. So it's entertaining to watch, even for men. But the fact is that any top 50 boys high school team could beat an WNBA team, and that number might actually be too low.
