Always good to embroider on 500-600 spm.

    Thank you for the reminder!!
Even after 22 years, I need someone to say something sometimes....
Hoping caps will sew like they are meant to-- very soon..

Lower the speeds to 450 spm even. Break up the mid seam by hand, work it back and forth and the fabric will be soft enough. Much better than pressing and using heat.

Say, I have a question for you. just received a newer cap-style needle-plate, and it seems quite a bit higher than used to be (lost mine in the trash bin it seems,) Should I adjust the needle-bar higher to work better with this plate? I ask because when I first did a head-up with this cap-cover, the needle broke. I put in a new needle and it seems to not grab the bobbin thread..
    grr.
    ideas?

On my tajima Tmar I can digitally adjust my pressure foot deadpoint. It was recommended a 1.2-1.6 for caps. Has anyone found that to be helpful?
Can you put links to those hoops in the description?
