- Follow along as I show you how to adjust your Ricoma EM1010 machine to be a structured hat powerhouse!!
Run your machine with needles as small as a 60/8 size on Richardson 112s when you pair this technique along with dropping your cap driver (see video in my library)

Thank you! 🙏🏽 I’m glad it is helpful
Thank you for sharing 😊
My pleasure 😊
Great video Im going to use this with my TC1501. May adjustment ive made years ago have been making me crazy lately so this is what im trying next. Testing this as im typing this. worked so far.
Thank you! I’m glad it is helpful, hopefully it solves your issues!
Thank you thank you thank you😊
The pleasure is mine 🙃
This was good Keith
Thank you!
Great video! Watching this mad me lose my fear of opening up the machine
Open it up! It’s nothing but a hard shell covering all the moving parts
@@AWGCreationsLLCjust did it last night so 4 of them. Will I have to readjust for flats?
@@oscaraguilar2221 nope, it actually improves the quality of your flat stitches as well
So do you leave them like that for all your embroidery or do you set them back for different things?
Great question! I leave it like this for everything. I believe I got better results on my flats this way as well
Congratulations how did you learn how to fix your machine curiosity? Or did they teach you at recoma really like your video? I have the 15 machine from Ricoma
Appreciate you bro! I didn’t get any training from Ricoma, but mostly by trial and error overtime of learning the machine.
The 15 needle is really easy to make these adjustments. Your screw should be exposed without taking any covers off
@@AWGCreationsLLC If you reach out to ricoma, theyll send you videos on how to take apart your ricoma. And all the videos they have provided are very thorough.
Great videos man.. but when I embroider hats I still get the pop sound and mis registration
What machine are you running on? Did you adjust the cap driver already as well? There’s a video on my UA-cam for doing that as well. Has a picture of a broken needle as the cover image
What size needle do you use for caps big homie?
60/8 or 65/9 .. only use the 65/9 when I’m out of 60/8 😂😂
@@AWGCreationsLLC you make it happen though big homie. Stay grinding!
How do you lower the cap driver?
I have a video posted that shows how to lower your cap driver. The picture for the video is a picture of a broken needle.
hey keith! thanks for the video. question: once the presser foot has been lowered for the caps, do you have to raise the presser foot back up to do flats? seems like you would not have to but just wanting to make sure that my logic is correct. i have the mt1501. thanks again so much.
You’re logic is correct! No need to change back. It actually improves quality on flats as well, in my opinion
thank you so much for your quick response! i take it that you specialize in hats? i may have to pick your brain for more information LOL! thanks again. enjoy your day!🥰
Bro im getting a knocking sound .. only while im embroidering .. it happened after a needle break on a hat… its not hitting the
Guard of the hat frame while embroidering.. its making the sound every few seconds and my registration is not off the design is still stitching out fine… i just dont want to break my machine .. i have a video of it too.. u seem to know more than ricoma so i hit u first lol
What’s up brother! Sorry for the delay, shoot me an email if the knocking is still happening.
