Rhonda Smith, and Anika Nilles don't get enough mention. It's really cool that Jeff rotates his band so often and gives young musicians a boost. Hard to believe he's almost 80 and still kicking ass like no one else!
Jeff is as indestructible and vital as Jon Anderson and Placido Domingo (these two singers are a year or two older and also in astonishing form). :) I agree he has great taste in sidemen and -women of course (Tal Wilkenfeld!)
Jeff was one of the greatest players of all time and moved into the world of jazz a.k.a. John McLaughlin and was just light years ahead of most rock players. ROCK IN PEACE. This is a person that will be greatly missed in the musical community.🎼🎸

Seen Jeff 4 times live and it’s always so great. Was lucky enough to get to one of Clapton’s Crossroads Festival events, saw him and EC play together, two live yardbirds and it was simply rock heaven!
Anika Nilles is such an amazing drummer. What a joy to watch, and see her play such intricate rhythms and time signatures. Awesome. Rhonda Smith is an all-star bass player. So many different styles and techniques in one person. Wonderful.

Been a fan of Jeff Beck's since the 60's! He's incredible! Let's give a lot of praise for Rhonda Smith and Anika Nilles. He doesn't need fancy stage lights and all the other gimmicks that some people use on stage...just pure amazing music...
Thank you for posting this. I still have all my early Beck vinyl in excellent condition, bought when it came out. For complex reasons, they've been stored at a distance for a long time, soon to be retrieved. It's a blessing that over half a century later, I'm able to enjoy his genius still creating and performing. And yes, Rick Beato's post was great. Aside from his incredible acumen, watching Rick's absolute enraptured joy is the closest I get, to sharing music with those friends now gone, who related to it as I do. At 71, I've gotten into conversations with people in their 20's at music stores who appreciate Rick in the same way. 🙏👍

He’s amazing and still is at 78 yrs old. Bought and adored Wired and Blow By Blow back in the 70’s but this years UK tour was the first time I ever saw him live. Just fantastic
He followed his own path. Much respect. Haven't seen anyone dress like that bassist since Prince's band back in the early 1990s. She wears it well. I like that Jeff usually has at least one female in the band, he's been on that for quite a while.
He's still just incredible. And yeah at 60 years old many 70s era rockers are way past their prime, and here the guy is way in command of his rig far beyond that. Usually If their fingers don't give out then their legs or back can't take it anymore.
It is so cool to hear slight variations from the studio albums! That's live music! If I want to hear tunes note for note I'll listen to the album, but at concerts I like to hear what the musicians are feeling that night!! And man, that band!!!! Omigod, no need for vocals on Little Wing, those fingers on that guitar did all the singing!!!
That's one of the reasons I love live performances so much, the improvisations and different approaches to solos we've heard before. Plus there is a whole different energy.
I hate I miss my chance to see him. And here I was commenting to my friend that I wish he'd come to Georgia when he started his tour with Johnny the first time. Then here he was and like I said I missed it. Cuz my life is crazy busy and I didn't know until this video came up.

I must say Jeff, at 78 years of age is at the apex of his virtuosity…dang he just keeps it ripping and what a mentor he is to the young musicians with which he shares his stagecraft!!!

A true genius, that never stops experimenting. This sets him apart from the other great guitarists that perhaps, relied too much on the same standards that made them famous long ago. And that sound!!!
Even on the staples of his set like Big Block Jeff gives you a one -off bespoke version . Greatest off the wall guitarist and great that Depp is nowhere to be seen .

Was at this show on section 103. What a great venue . JB was Amazing. Nobody else can get a guitar to make the sounds he does.
