Too cool! Anika is wearing her hair exactly the same way Terry Bozzio did when I saw them tour Guitar Shop back in 90. She brings it! Terry was playing an amazing looking/sounding electronic set. Jeff shared the bill with Stevie Ray Vaughn a mere few days before Stevie died. RIP Jeff and Stevie.
One thing I've always loved about Jeff is he plays with some of the greatest Musicians in the world and gives them a chance to shine. Rhonda Smith and Anika are perfect examples. That beautiful blonde hair in the lights blowing back it literally looks like that girl is on fire and her playing certainly is I've Heard lots of female drummers but this girl is just amazing. 78 years old and still raising the bar for guitarist with every album. Jeff will always be known as one of the greatest guitarists of all time no one can copy him.
@@j.mcconnell5260 👍 oh I totally agree Clint Eastwood Robert Duvall couple of my favorite actors of all time. If you have seen Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino I used to own that exact car I don't think Clint Eastwood has ever made a bad movie. I don't recall the name of the movie but his son passed the torch so to speak he looks just like his dad and sounds like him. I believe his son is going to continue the Clint Eastwood persona. Thinking of beautiful women my father actually got to meet Bo Derek years ago.
"You know, you know" (!) Well now we certainly do! Cheers to Jeff Beck for bringing ladies in and letting them shine. It's a perfect example of how stupid it's been, thinking only men can truly rock! Human beings, whatever sex, are musical beings. It doesn't matter; it just depends on who has the talent and burning passion to play music! This is a band for the history books 📚 👏 Jamming through the universe ✨ Taking it to the stars 🌟 and back! All love and gratitude 🙏 ❤
When he is enjoying the show he plays sending sweets which he played the early version at a concert I saw with SRV in Cow town Ohio a last min. concert. he let SRV shine
How much was Johnny Depp there, if at all? I want to see Beck again when he comes to San Jose next month, but I do not want to indulge a movie star. So, if he's only there for a couple of songs I can probably stomach it. Please inform.
I couldn't disagree more. Jeff and Johnny are brothers, both musically and personally. Johnny is a good musician and writer. He played music long before he was in films. There's no indulgence going on, come on. Listen to him sing without your mind coming in between. Jeff Beck wouldn't be playing with him or doing on album, if there wasn't a connection with him. Your insulting the master as well as Johnny Depp. What do you create or contribute? Use your heart once in a while, and not just that computer on your shoulders, lol!
Johnny Depp is not in Beck's league by about 4 million light years , he is a great actor and director , but I have not seen anything much as a guitarist , slightly a rhythm player , I'm not insulting him , just stating facts , It just that he's a famous actor that puts him on that stage with Beck.
@@prajnachan333 He's okay, but there are several better musicians/guitarists at every blues jam that i've ever been to. I would love to see Jeff, but don't care to see Depp. I like his acting and seems like a cool dude, just don't like his music. How on earth was that comment insulting? Makes zero sense. And why would you ask what the commenter has created or contributed to? Not logical at all to bring that up. People can decide how they want to spend their hard earned money and deciding to pass if Depp is there is perfectly reasonable.
@narottama aiden: I've heard &/or seen every band JB's worked with, & Depp is by far the least talented guitarist & vocalist. Knowing JB's general kindness, displayed & attested to since the late 60s (ask Billy Gibbons or Carmen Vandenberg, to name two from 1968 & 2017 for example), he just might have brought Depp in to give him a boost after the trials -- I mean, he's not _terrible_ , but he's no Jennifer Batten or Carmen Vandenberg on guitar, or Joss Stone or Imogen Heap on vocals.
He has a "thing" for massive talent, regardless of gender, race, age, or any other irrelevant issue. And at this point, there aren't many top musicians of any gender who *_aren't_* younger than JB, who's pushing *_80_* in this vid.
This is not even one of his compositions (it's a John McGlaughlin tune) and it's the first time I ever heard him play this. Yes. The same old bag of tricks but EVERY guitarist has that.
Ok, the bass solo isn't so hot. But unless you can do better, I'd rather listen to her. And a better female drummer also. I can name 3-4 that would put the band over the top. Maybe the great Mohini Dey on bass.
This film footage of Anika should surely go in her treasure chest. It really is the 'girl on fire'. She toured with Jeff Beck!

Take a listen to Anika’s solo stuff.. you haven’t heard anything yet !

Beck just keeps getting better. This drummer is wild.

He’s always totally in command! As Rick Beato says “ he never plays a bad note” amazing for a man 78 years old!
I saw this show, all 3 acts were amazing. Ann Wilson and her band, Jeff, and ZZ Top.
anika is glowing on serious FIRE!!!
I'm here for the music, but that "hair in the wind" thing with Anika is beautiful.

Serious Rock n Rollers! ✌️
brilliant performance "you know, you know", epic!
I love this clip! ❤️❤️❤️
78 years old ...Damn!
Grande Anika!!!Aguante!!!

Bass player is fucking awesome!
Jeff loves John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Those gals are wicked sick.
Anika has such swagger and groove. A Def fav.

nice cover of *you know, you know* (*the inner mountain flame*, 1971)
Waaaahhhey
Much love the best!
You know, You know!
Dang! It opens with Mahavishnu!
I would have been the one pulling the power to those subs.
Covering The Mahavishnu Orchestra. Very nice choice
Per mutual friend Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck was the only guitarist that frustrated Jimi Hendrix.
That dummer is literally fire.
Cuanto filling
Is it me or did Rhonda improve 1000%? rums were great also! Jeff well , obviously.....
Johnny wasn’t there. It’s my understanding that he’s joining the tour in a few weeks.
Great Video John.....Thanks for sharing!
No great loss: Depp isn't at the level of JB's other second guitarists (e.g. Jennifer Batten, Carmen Vandenberg)
Ronda always smokes the bass on that one !
Batería Tama.
rip JB Beckola
Why did he change his entire band overnight?
Rhonda is the one he discovered when " she was 21 and looked 12 " right?
I think you mean Tal Wilkenfeld
