Thank you for posting. I was there. 11/10 concert. So grateful to Belew for putting together the tour and pushing through all of the obstacles for years to make it happen. I really hope they tour the whole world and do a live album.
Dude! Johnny Ramone did not play that many single notes in his entire career! Lol. Steve got a huge round of applause for that solo - standing ovation in middle of song! Awesome!
I have been to hundreds of concerts since the 70's including King Crimson in 1981. This show last Friday was one of the greatest I have ever been to. I am still on a high from it.
Amazing! It’s like he was born to play this stuff. What effortless musical expression! I am so impressed with 0:39 the 1:10 F’ing total master!!! I’ve got to to hear this live!!!
Vai is totally and completely locked in! I don’t know I’m thinking he is playing Fripp better than Fripp? This is simply effortless! Wow so graceful and expressive!
Thanks for posting. I wanted to go but too darned expensive. I did see the Fripp-Belew version at Massey Hall when John Paul Jones opened the show and also saw the original Discipline tour. This was usually a Belew feature on the guitar synth. Wonder why he gave it to Vai?
Was there. This was one of the craziest solo spots I've seen live, but unfortunately the fella next to me was overly excited and hollered all throughout, ruining my bud's recording attempt
I am beginner guitar player and learning new things all the time. In this video I see for the first time two guitar cables connected to the guitar, why is that?
Hi, would it be okay with you if I used this footage for a video about the band and the Toronto show? I couldn't get much working footage and I was hoping someone like you caught this amazing moment!
😂 you think it gives you status making the whiny comment when in fact its you looking for approval and acceptance... mom n dad left you alone a lot huh?
@@Andrew_M_Warddie hard vai fan but this ain’t doing it for me either. Sad I missed the show but wanted to see him play as someone else. Not whatever this is.
that was an astonishing solo on many, many levels.
I had to watch this twice to make sure I heard it right the first time!
To see how that solo has progressed since the first two dates is breathtaking. Epic is an understatement.

the Toronto show would be the perfect cd/dvd package, but wasn't professionally videotaped.

Sarcasm.
That’s the joke
That solo was a huge highlight of the show. Thanks for posting.
Absolutely amazing concert. Riveting from start to finish, and really experimental. Can't say enough good about this band and show.
For the love of all that is music, please make a live record of this tour, King Crimson !!!!
Uncanny beauty 💫
That was tremendous. THis is really benefitting Steve so much. Been a long time since he's played in a band and he's doing it beautifully.
I've been marveling at El Maestro since the 80s and here he's getting theremin sounds from a whammy bar.
Wow! Thanks for sharing this.
The master at work!
Absolutely love the way Vai handles this song. He's channeling some Fripp but also just going to town. Can't wait for Denver!!

That was effing awesome!!
Excellence! And I'm glad to see he's given up his hat ;-)
Steve Vai is playing at the very top! This is next level sh!t!
I don’t know how that guitar stays in tune. It’s amazing
He uses the Johnny Ramone locking nuts. You can't see them under his pants.
It’s called a locking nut system….grow up…quit being a drama queen…….they have been around since the late 70s.
@@PeterSokol-bl5vz To be fair… The original post might not know about a locking system.
@@PeterSokol-bl5vzwow, what a total dick.
@@PeterSokol-bl5vzwho hurt you?
I've loved Robert Fripps playing for 40 yrs. but that was awesome!!!
NUMBER ONE 🇮🇹👏👏👏👏
Wow! They really are tight

I’ve got to to hear this live!!!
You can tell he felt inspired at the time. He was certainly on his “A” game!
Now if KC Really sounded like this it would different story. This is STEVE VAI!
Don't know where the J. Ramone reference came from.
No down stroking at all
Fenomeno. C'è tutto Vai in questa performance. Suona con le dita ma muove tutto intorno a se, compreso se stesso
Goosebumps! Getting excited about Saturday in Cincinnati!
I'll be there too. If I can swing it going to get a ticket for Louisville too
I saw Fripp on the original Discipline tour. It was a religious experience.
Vai does an Interesting take.

Love watching that musical genius play.
That's not someone at work. That's someone having capital-F capital-U capital-N FUN!
Well said!

Is it me or is Vai actually getting even better with age?
A true artist!
Turned a guitar into a theremin, nice work dude
Solid
Wtf? I love the Ramones but there s nothing here even similar to Johhny s Ramone guitar. Are you drunk? Cheers from Japan!
Wrong band dude. But…any true Ramones fan would be diggging thins sh!t
Oh yeah & by the way; IT WAS DANNY CARREY DRUMING THE WHOLE DAMN TIME!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Aye carumba!
Nice!
Monday Night October 28 at the Mother Church of Country Music in Nashville Tennessee!!
Anazing
Never seen anything like that!
Channeling Adrian Belew.
Can’t tell if you’re joking or not
@@hoover728 It's meant to be funny, but not a joke.
I hope these guys put a album out after this.
Love to listen. I can’t watch those faces he makes, but the dude’s a genius.
The karate kid once beat this chump in a guitar duel.
😂
Twang Bar Crown Prince.
Guitar-face supreme
Still the world’s most expressive player in the world. Henson and Co can go shower.
I am beginner guitar player and learning new things all the time. In this video I see for the first time two guitar cables connected to the guitar, why is that?
One is for the guitar to the main rig and the other is for the guitar synths. It's quite a "feet" to navigate around that cable and not slip on it. s
He will never be the same guitarist after this.
My guitar would have gone so out of tune it would have never been playable again
WTF 😮 two jacks plug into your guitar?
Hi, would it be okay with you if I used this footage for a video about the band and the Toronto show? I couldn't get much working footage and I was hoping someone like you caught this amazing moment!
Sure, it's the only footage I shot in vertical format. There was a big head in front of me.
@@mikew3213 I feel you! Thank you!
i dont get the johnny ramone reference,

Carbon copy of Johnny!!!😮😮😮
The white mans version of machine gun
Mental mas*urbation..
Prog just ain’t my thing
What is that bullshitt title?johnny Ramone was never like Steve Vai..Why so disrespectful?
You have a great sense of humor, is this really Jerry Seinfeld, or maybe George Carlin from the beyond?
Yeah, that Vai solo is cool but no need to be offhand dissing Johnny; he and his buds created a whole genre of music.
You have a great sense of humor, I really wish I could hang out with you.
@@rockdangerI'd love to hang out with you in a comedy club and watch you do your fact checking, good times.
What an insult to Steve!!! Give me a break! JR was good @ what he did, but he isn’t even in the same universe as these guys. Get your hearing tested
I think SpaceX was required for this one to go over your head.
You're the kind of guy who at a comedy club yells out " that joke is not factual"
Pfff…. Give me Gilmore instead. This guy is all technical show no emotion whatsoever. Sounds like a broken violin playing
