How I attatch the camera to the original pole:
- Screw this 1/4" screw into the pole tinyurl.com/2p8d47kn
- Attach this GoPro adapter to the screw: amzn.to/33exfK9
- Add some gorrilla glue to both sides of the screw to make it solid on both sides

Came to learn how to mount a camera to a wing. Instead I got distracted by all your awesome shots of English Bay. As a local Vancouver slalom windsurfer who launches 95% from Locarno your video show lots of familiar local faces and sites. Great video! Don't let too many people know how awesome Vancouver is for wind sports. See you on the water!
Thanks @mamero283 ! Make sure to check out my wing foil specific channel for more tutorials mostly filmed at Jericho: UA-cam.com/@westcoastwingfoil Hope to see you on the water! @westcoastwingfoil
Pretty cool shot 👍🏄🏼♂️. I am using a GoPro mound from Flymount aero, attached to the wing.
Hi Blaise, I was just looking for camera mounting tips and came across your channel. I wasn't expecting to see local Jericho content. I will keep an eye out for you out there. Great channel btw!
Awesome, yes let's connect! I'm off to Maui Sunday and looking forward to some Winging there :)
Hi there ;) Thanks for the tips . @Moves Media how do you attach the screw to the end of the hollow pole? as the screw you are recommanding is a lot thiner than the pole and also a lot larger than the go pro adaptator on the other side? Many thanks
Hi David, the one end of the pole has a plastic part that you screw into. It's not completely hollow. With the screw in and a lot of gorilla glue it holds in place really well. Hope that makes sense!
@@Movesmedia thks bro for ur answer. Can u tell me what sort of stick u got. I only found in Portugal where i live hollow PVC pipe and find it hard to connect with the Gopro connector safely🙏🤟
@@LifeForceDavidTan I put the links to pole in the video description! If you want a pole that's just ready to go I started using this one recently and really like it as well: amzn.to/3Qv1kbj
@@Movesmedia Thnks bradda
Thanks -- very nice! I like the perspective from the boom behind the middle strut the most -- but it makes the handles hard to use, esp. with gloves, like you said. I also use the GoPro MAX, and I played a bit with the Flymount Aero mount. Pretty cool idea.
Did you like the fly mount better then the pole down the middle strut? To me it looks too close to the wing.
@@Movesmedia I think I like the pole better. I installed the flymount on the curve of the leading edge, where it starts sweeping back. One way it had high overhead shots, the other lower shots showing the board above water. It doesn't quite fit my 6.4M wing, tube diameter too large, but it was simple to set-it-and-forget-it. Here's a video from my messing around with a PVC pipe mount -- though I like your thinner pipe better: ua-cam.com/video/KmvJfXetPek/v-deo.html
@@snowytom nice that's good to know. I think I like my set up. Just some kind of thinner pole to limit the grip issue would be ideal. Saw someone sew a loop on the end of their middle strut. Then you only use the back handle and loop at the end of the strut. I don't use my back handle so think that will be my next progression.
@@Movesmedia I think you're absolutely right. I like the view from how you have it mounted much better. I'll be off to the hardware store tomorrow to upgrade my pole mount :) My local lake just froze last night -- bummer! Now I'll have to drive further to find open water... Thanks again for your video, good ideas there.
@@snowytom no problem!
Great video! I'm putting the go pro on my Christmas wishlist. Is there a specific model of the Max or something you can add to it to make sure it floats if it drops in the water? Also how long of a rod would you recommend for someone like me flying wings in the 2.8-5.0 range?
Nice Birgitte! There is only one version of the GoPro Max so no need to worry about which one to get. Just try and get a SD card that has more than 64gb. The file sizes are quite big and you don't want to run out of space while you're out there. For the float, it's a bit tricky because anything big will get in the shot. A 360 camera sees everything other than that small blind spot where a pole goes. That's why it's best to get a pole that floats. My pole is 4ft but it depends on where you want to mount it. Hope that helps!
Here is my full review and info on the max which also will help ua-cam.com/video/FyClAJy0Qjk/v-deo.html
Thanks for this. I went to my hardware store and found all their hollowed out painting poles are made of aluminum. Does yours not allow water to leak in? Or did you use something to seal it?
I found it to be really good with the seal. I recently purchased this pole off amazon: amzn.to/3IapeZ6 as I was doing a trip and needed something more compact. It works great as well and floats with my camera on it.
Great video, but how do you connect the camera/mount to the painting broom?
Thanks Eric! I just added the directions on how I attach it in the video description. Let me know if this makes sense or if you have any questions about it.
@@Movesmedia Thank you for the quick reply. Much appreciated.
@@Movesmedia how do you attach the screw to the end of the hollow pole?
Is there any good way to Mount insta 360 go?
I'd suggest the same ways I displayed in this video!
put the pole in the strut o replace the pole with a long aluminum rod
Why is your voice is much more quiet than the opening music? You almost gave me heart attack!
