I have all my grandma's diaries too. I love to flip through them! I hope my family appreciates my journals in the future. Have an awesome trip!! Can't wait to hear about your visit with Liz... I love watching her channel too💜
@@elizabethk2009 hi Elizabeth, that’s so lovely you have your grandma’s diaries too. I find them fascinating because their lives were just like ours, mundane doctors visits or family dinners written in them, then there’s the little gems, an off the cuff remark written down that triggers a memory and you realize how much she loved us and enjoyed us visiting them. I try to think about this with my own grandkids ❤️
I am so happy for you. Its going to be amazing, can't wait to hear your stories when you are back. And you know what... this morning I was about to throw out 2 passports and at the last moment thought maybe I can do something with them! Serendipity? Don't even think about us while you are in Paris Di, just enjoy, hugs, Anne
@@greeneggslamb9336 you’re very welcome! Most of us have them lying around & they make a quick journal if you need one in a hurry and often contain some fab passport control stamps too! Thanks for leaving a comment, I really appreciate it ❤️
@@jennifermackinnon7870 thanks, Jennifer, we are getting excited now although the flight is 24hrs so we will be glad to get that part over with! Take care ❤️
You made a very long trip to come over to Europe but I'm sure you enjoyed every minute. To use your grandfather's old passport for the trip is so perfect. I noticed that he was born in Putney UK. I visit Putney twice a year when visiting London for mudlarking.
@@FindsByPirjo mudlarking looks like so much fun, we watch channels on UA-cam & I am always fascinated with their finds, little bits of history, which I love. Yes, grandpa was born in Putney, the family were wealthy before the crash in 1929, apparently he remembers having a ballroom and horse and carts turning up with the ladies & gentleman! Sadly, all we have left of that time is some silverware and photos 😂 I love having something of his on my travels & repurposing passports as travel journals, they are already so interesting to start with. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a comment ❤️ take care
@@isabellebernard7876 Yessssss! I was hoping you would say that 😊 I don’t like to force myself on others but it would be lovely to meet you. I am also meeting up with Liz from buttonsforbrains UA-cam channel in Glasgow when I’m there! I’ll check insta for your message ❤️
