I've been selling on eBay and Amazon for 4 years now but I usually only send items that have a wholesale invoice to Amazon (I have a few accounts with toy/collectible distributors). You've inspired me to start sending my thrift/garage sale finds to AZ as well now :) Amazon does not condone retail arbitrage/thrifting (right? :) ) I believe. One thing I wonder is why Amazon is looking the other way when you send a FBA shipment with random items. Why would a seller send 1 or 2 units of a great product if they had a wholesale account for that item? It would make more sense for the seller to send 20 units at once (or whatever the case size is). Yeah, I think Amazon knows and wants people sending in retail arbitrage and thrift items. It's big money for them, but they will also ban you if the trademark holder complains. They play both sides.
Thanks for posting. I see lots of videos about Amazon returns and they destroy or auction off pallets of returns. Once you sell an item on Amazon and it gets returned, how does that effect you if Amazon is getting rid of returned items?
If an item is returned and cannot be added back into your inventory because it was opened/damaged, you can set an option to have the item destroyed or returned back to you. I have all my stuff returned to me. They charge .50 cents per item to have it returned.
I made an account over 10 years ago and I'm grandfathered into a lot of brands. Many you can just request permission to sell after your account is in good standing for a while.

I time I had 300+ items to send, each individually (and some were Multiples of each item) - so like 500 items. FBA only allows 250 items at one time for shipment. What a headache it was. Just food for thought to Start small and learn before going crazy...
Thanks Wick just packed a box of games and dvds to ship to Amazon. Used to do FBA then just stopped the last couple years. Went to ship a load and realized everything changed from how I last remembered it lol. This video helped even though Amazon yet again has changed some things since you made this video but I made it through. Couldn't get my printer to work so I paid Amazon to print and apply my labels. Cost a little more money but I have more than enough profit in the items to cover the $0.55 charge they do. Thanks again for the info!!
At last! I have been looking for a video that explained the new work flow in a way that worked for booksellers. I have been selling books on Amazon for 6 years and every few months there is some new complication. I used to use a listing program but it started having more and more problems until I gave up and went to listing each item individually. I don't know how the listing programs cope with restricted books. The new send to Amazon work flow seems totally organized around sellers with large multiples of a few SKUs. Booksellers were forgotten. Prep centers absolutely hate the new regime. Thanks so much for posting a solution to this problem. My only question is, what happens when Amazon splits up the shipment after you have already put in the box information? Do you have to go back and redo it?

If I want to send in electronics like a DVD/VHS combo with the remote, should I shrinkwrap them together, then bubblewrap them, and then put them in their own box, which goes in the larger box for UPS shipping? Can I then put the SKU label and the "Do Not Separate" sticker on the item box and not on the bubblewrap?

The race to the bottom is a big problem with FBA. I swear people will sell at a loss to beat everyone else.That is why I am giving up on FBA. I have asked numerous FBA sellers what they do when they reach the dreaded six months and items haven't sold. That is when the storage fees go up a lot. Have you experienced this, and what happens?
I turned on a setting to have anything sent back to me that is going to incur the long term storage fees. If you don't have them removed you will be charged a very high storage fee. Amazon does this so they can keep their warehouses clean of non-selling inventory.

It depends if the product page is made for a set. It would say in the title. If it's made for a set, then the quantity would be 1 for each set of 3. In an example of a listing with a set of 3. If the product page is only for one item and you want to sell a set of 3, then you'd have to make a new listing for the product in a multipack. I hope that makes sense lol

You are paid every other week on what you have sold. Try asking for approval on a computer. The app sometimes doesn't work. It just says your approved and nothing changes. When you do it on a computer, it usually works.
I don't remember the exact size, but it's the rolls I have linked in my description that fit the Rollo thermal printer. I would probably bubble wrap them, to help insure they survive the handling and shipping of Amazon.

If you wanted to add items to your FBA inventory and take a couple of weeks (add them as you get them) or even a month or two to finalize your shipment is that ok? I have been acquiring items for a couple of weeks, but do not have enough to send in as of yet. Also, can you send in new "Open Box" items, or do you have to list that as "used". Thanks!
You can add items to your inventory any time and they will stay there. Once you start a shipment, I'm pretty sure you can continue later. I think your workflow is saved. I never do this, so I can't say for sure. I've always just added everything to inventory, then done the shipment when I was ready. There isn't an "open box" option on Amazon. Just Used - Like New. I always put in the condition notes that its new open box if it is.

u should give ‘inventory lab’ a try, the shipping process is ten times better/faster and u can also foresee if amazon is going to split your items up

Amazon requires liquids to be poly bagged. You don't have to put in a box after that, but the choice is yours with the boxes.

I'd put it over the sleeve cover. Amazon needs it to be visible and cover up any visible barcodes.

Does the box u send to amazon need to be plain ? Will they put the item in a different box ?
FBA boxes do not need to be plain, but any boxes that may directly to the customer does.
Do you put the sticker barcode on the polybag/ bubble or on the book?
I usually put it on the polybag. If it goes under, just make sure the label can be scanned by Amazon.

Yes, you need invoices from a distributor and many brands are restricted, but there are a lot that aren't.
If i have to bubble wrap, do I put my FNSKU on the product or the bubble wrap?
Best to put over. It can be either as long as it can clearly be seen under the bubble wrap for Amazon to scan.

Not that I know of. They are fairly low and go by standard box size and over sized box size.

You buy them from third party sellers on eBay or Amazon. Shipping supply stores etc. I buy mine on Amazon.
