you are awesome!!! honest and straight to the point. too many people spend 80 % of the youtube videos explaining their life story and promoting sponsors. thank you for answering the questions I had and the questions I did not know I had!!!
You all probably dont care but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Victor Diego Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I used to use an Epson ET-2550 ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 , an early model of the ink tank style. It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.
Thank you for the video, it was short and too the point without long pointless intro and unneccessary information! Loved it. I had a question, what if I am selling item like rugs or carpets? Can I shrink/vacuum pack them in a poly bag, then place FNSKU on them and send them to AMZ warehouse without carton box? Will they accept it or will AMZ require me to pack them in a carton box? Please let me know :)
for my specific type of product, they are also requirements like to putt the items in a suffocation bag, if i choose amazon prep will then amazon cover stuff like theese for me?
Great video for visual learners. I watched a couple of other videos, but yours answered my many questions as I was literally trying to ship these items today!
Hi there. Re expiration dates- if I have 6 products with 2 individual products having an expiration date, do I have to pack them in an entirely different box to the other items? (Even if I put the expiry date on the main box?) thanks!
II have some books ready to sell on Amazon. I printed out the labels and tried to ship them, but when I try to send them it is asking for a sku before I can continue. Do you have a video on something that my help me get this order shipped?
Hi there everyone! I am new in the seller space and wanted additional information in regards to FBA for example: Have you heard of FBA Opportunities tab in Seller Central? Have you seen it?
Oh my goodness, it is so confusing with all the specifications for shipping! Thank you for your video! I had my manufacturer in China unbox and add poly bags to my already shrink-wrapped cards. Now I am wondering if Amazon will fine me for not having a 'warning label' on the polybag? They can't seem to get the measurements right and 'error' notices...yikes...I am grateful for your channel! Wish me luck!! 🙄🙄🙄
How would I handle an item where I order 10,000 units but I am selling a pack of 10 or a pack of 5? Do I tell the manufacturer to pack the items 5 or 10 per one box? And include an FSKU on each item inside that box?
Such an awesome vido on FBA shipping prep. When shipping to Amazon straight from the supplier, will your freight forwarder make sure your case labels are attatached?
thank you for the explanation it's helped me a lot but? have 2q please clear it to me. 1-i should do a barcode label on each unit 2- label on the box that I am going to ship
Great! Could you please explain how to know a product already sold on amazon? suppose I choose a product from alibaba how i can find the exact (100%) product on amazon? I know how to search by name and category (it shows the similir not exact one) If i choose a product from alibaba without costumiztion (private label) does alibaba provide GTINs (Product ID)? Thanks
Hi Talash, Generally a quick Amazon search should suffice. It will become pretty obvious if a lot of very similar items are being sold that these sellers are most likely buying from the same factory and you will most likely be walking into a price war. It is almost 100% impossible to have a totally unique items as a good factory will have many customers all using similar molds and components. The goal is not to be 100% sure you are totally unique, but rather that you have a differentiating factor and that there is not too much concentration of very similar products (think phone cases all similar 100ks of sellers). This is where it becomes hard to compete and price matters the most of all attributes. From my experience it depends on the factory/seller on alibaba as well as your order quantity. Hope this helps!
@@ShipmateFulfillment Thank you so much, it was really helpful My problem:- I want to sell a product on Amazon which is already sold as a wholesale seller/retail arbitrage (not private label) so when I search that product on Alibaba many manufacturers produce the same item therefore can I choose any one? This is almost three months that I couldn’t resolve this issue. Note:- For launch of this business I want to resell a product. Thanks in advance
Thank you for the great info. Regarding FCNSKU, how do you get it from AMAZON?. Is it that after you specify the product details and units per boxes/Case Amazon automatically knows how many FCNSKU to print?. What if you want the FCNSKU printed on the product by the manufacturer and shipped straight to Amazon?. Or is it practical to print and do it yourself before shipping it to the Amazon warehouse?
Great content! A quick question: Please share the information about the packaging of hand sanitizer/shampoo etc. Or please share a link that directs me to the right information in this regard.
Hi 2btns, These type of items require additional precautions however can be shipped to Amazon just like any other item. Here is a link to all of Amazon's guidelines regarding liquids creams and pastes: sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/external/help.html?itemID=200280130&language=en_US&ref=efph_200280130_cont_200141500 Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
If we use fnsku then do we have to put it right on the top of the upc code?? Or on the side? Is it important to show upc as well as fnsku code or only either one label ?? Great video by the way.. learned alot
Hi Vaibhav, Thanks for watching. The most important thing is to only have one identifying barcode. Either the UPC of FNSKU should suffice. Most of the time you can get away with just using the UPC and not having to do a bunch of labeling, however it is important to check as this is not true with all categories. If you choose to use and FNSKU instead and a UPC is present you should cover the UPC with the FNSKU barcode. Hope this helps
QUESTION REGARDING CASE COUNT What if not all of my items are sold as a case, but some of them are sold as a case…Am I able to send singular items and sold as case items … because not everyone is buying the caSe items …
HI thanks for your great video. may please answer my question I have try a lot place on internet but I could not find my answer, and then is , I try to sell large item like tv stand as I could not find any suitable currier service if I keep them on my unit and when the item be sold can I drop it to Amazon local warehouse to they do delivery it for me ? The reason for this is to avoid paying Amazon keep item charge. I really appreciated if you can help me with that.
Hi Med, There is not way to do what you are requesting, however I recommend you look into (FBM) Fulfilled by merchant. This way you can print your own labels and store at your own place then drop it off when it sells at a UPS facility. Do a quick search for FBM and you should find the closest thing to what you are looking for
Hi Oceangoing, Generally sellers will use the UPC barcode instead of the FNSKU barcode because it requires less effort and allows you to sell your products retail as well. If you wish to use the FNSKU instead I would definitely cover any existing UPC to limit confusion. Hope this helps!
Hi, Sometimes you will have to use bubble wrap however I strongly suggest bubble bags over the sheet bubble wrap especially with sharp or fragile items, however I would caution that your product still needs to look like a brand new sell-able item. Polybags with a suffocation warning are usually the best practice though, however I would strongly caution regardless of how you prep to make sure your finished product looks like a sell-able product as Amazon can reject products that lack clear branding or they deem to not be a sell-able product. Hope this helps and good luck!
Thanks for the info, very informative. My question is how would I know what type of packaging to use for each product. Would I use a polybag or bubble wrapping?? As I don’t know which type of packaging is needed to be used.
Hi Dalha, Your best bet to be 100% sure is to check out some of the amazon help articles or to call or email seller central. They are always the best resource as they are judge jury and executioner. Hope this helps!
Excelent Information, I have a question, If i sell cloths and i polybag it, do i have to put the FSKU barcode directly on my cloth? or can it be on the polybad individually??? Thank you so much!
Hi, thanks for your great informative video. My question is : If i want my product ( a 100 ml bottle organic skin moisturiser) to be packed in bubble wrap, then a lesflet inside with instructions on how to use/ingredients etc, is this ok?... and if i pack each bottle in s small 6sided carton, can i just PRINT the FNSKU and expiry date on each of the carton packaging? OR DO I really have to print the label - FBSKUs and expiry dafe - from my computer, and stick thrm on my product and product box? Or can i just stick it on the box package only?
Hi Yvette, I would be really cautious with whatever you decide to do. Generally speaking only a manufacturer should be printing your expiry date as there is a lot of liability surrounding that piece of information. Assuming you are working with a manufacturer to assemble your packaging, generally you need to have the the expiration on both the product itself and its packaging. Please reference this article as this stuff can get a bit complicated: sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/external/G201003420?language=en_US
@@ShipmateFulfillment Oh I forgot to say I am the manufacturer of this product. I only have one product. Hopefully, I can add more later. I also have a brand that I intend to register in brand registry very soon. Thank you for letting me know I will have to put the expiration date on both packaging and product. I guess this also applies to the FNSKU right? Thank you in advance for your advice!
Hi SRT, I've been looking into doing some computer tutorials, but our producer has trouble blanking out some of the private info on a moving screen so these have been put on hold for now. Hopefully we will do some stuff like this in 2022 though. Fingers Crossed!
Hello. This video is great and I have subscribed. I have a question. When you say Amazon does not allow for any marketing materials does this mean that if I bought a doll that has a Disney tag on it I need to take that Disney tag off and anything that says Disney on it? Please elaborate a little on this. Thank you for your time.
Hi Lucas, When I say marketing materials this does not include "branding" Amazon doesn't care if a brand logo or other information is showing. Branding is an important part of packaging. What I am getting at is marketing materials. Think coupons, ads, promotions, QR codes that redirect to websites. The people who buy from you one Amazon are Amazon's customers not yours and Amazon will do anything they can to keep it that way. Because of this they don't want you including any advertisements or promotions as this could lead to purchases outside of the Amazon ecosystem and ultimately hurt Jeff's pockets. Just make sure that you are not advertising your business, your website, or any kind of sale that you are having through an insert or on your packaging and you should be good. A Disney tag is not a marketing insert is is branding. Hope this helps and good luck!
Hey, can u tell if we send say bottle jars to amazon in our own plain box then do they repack them in their own pre printed amazon boxes ? If yes, so can we send say 10 units of jars in one corrugated box with bubble wrap and they can thereafter put in their own box? What do they do exactly?
Hi Achhda, Generally speaking Amazon likes to recreate inception the movie but with boxes. You often will see a box put into their box, however sometimes especially with oversized items this is not always the case. You can definitely send them 10 units in a case pack and they will pack each one in a box as they send it out, but as a word of caution Amazon puts a lot of undo onus on the seller. You may get a lot of negative reviews or even worse the item removed if Amazon does a poor job packing those jars. With fragile items I usually recommend sending them to Amazon as if they are ready to ship and packed to your standards as this helps to reduce damage when Amazon inevitably just tosses your jar in a box with what ever else the customer orders and just some paper. You want your items to be protected well enough anyone can just throw them in to a box and if the UPS or Fedex driver throws it off the back of the truck you will still be ok. So in summary you can send Amazon a case packed product and they will pack each unit for you, but make sure you protect the item well as Amazon doesn't care about how they put it in their box.
Hello, About the polybags, The item I have is smaller than the bag. If I folded the bag and seal it would be smaller. what if mine has sold as set/suffocation already on the bag and I place the item inside and when I seal the polybag you dont see sold as set? Do you think Amazon would reject this? Or should I leave the bag with space and seal?
Hi, thank you for that informative video. Happy to find your channel. Can I ask 2 Qs to clarify my mind 1. We have private label products but no merchandise barcode. What barcode should we use? GS1, upc or fnsku? 2. Our products are in a craft box. Should we also wrap these boxes with poly bag? Thank you in advance.
Hi Ozge, I would recommend using a UPC if you can. This is because the UPC is standard and can be used for retail as well so if you ever decided to sell your products to a retailer or store you would have that option. Amazon will also accept the UPC without you having to use the FNSKU on most product categories so this is the route to go for 99% of sellers imo. I am assuming you mean cardboard box (kraft). as long as the packaging meets Amazon's minimum size requirements you would not need to bag it. Thanks for watching!
HI, Can I tape two different-sized carton boxes together because they are sold as a set.. (On conditon I add 'Sold as set' sticker and a FSKU sticker? Thank you for replying!
Hi Sam, Theoretically you have the right idea, but I don't think this is enough. I would look into poly-bagging or shrink-wrapping the boxes together. If they are too large to bag or wrap I would consider looking into more permanent ways of attaching them as well as asking Amazon support for assistance. My initial gut reaction though is to tell you to buy a larger box they both fit in and label that big box as sold as set. The reason I say this is even if Amazon doesn't explicitly say you can't tape 2 boxes together, they will hold you liable for any customer complaints or issues that arise when the tape does inevitably fall off or an untrained employee separates the units. It is always better to put in the extra cost or effort to protect yourself as Amazon has no problem shutting do or suspending your account for any reason.
Hi Hani, It would depend on the prep service you are using. Some prep services will only do basic labeling while others do light assembly. We do a lot of kitting work here at Shipmate please feel free to reach out to someone over here if you could use some help with kitting and we would be happy to assist.
I have questions if you are sending a product that have different colors and sizes with different sku and I put it in one box what should I do take the measurement of the item or take the measurement of the box? And what would be individual or as case? Thank you
Hi Khaled, They recently updated the FBA form so I'll try my best here as I've only used this one a few times. If you put it in one box and its a mixed case it is individual and I think you use the box dims as it will be generating a shipping label.
thanks. ehy i ordered my producs . i will have 200 units so when im doing the pre shoud i pack then in a box of 100 unit and another box for my other 100 unit?
Question. Have three items in their own box I want to send FBA. There is a small window cut out on box (manufactured that way) and plastic covers the item so the item is not exposed. Do I placwe the FNSKU over the bar code and then wrap in bubble wrap? I am concerned about that open window on the box, but also want to FNSKU to be readily visible. Any guidance? Thanks
Do you put the expiration label on the outside box or on each individual item. For example, if I have 4 in bottles of Essential Oils, do I put that big label on each bottle with the expiration date and the SKU label?
Hi Pedro, generally I recommend leaving anything with expiration dates up to the factory or manufacturer. There can be some liability with labeling things with expiration dates that you and your business may not want to take on even if you know/believe the information to be correct. Generally you want to make sure the the expiration date is visible on whatever the salable unit is. If you have a single bottle it needs to be visible on the single bottle, if you have a 4 pack it needs to be visible on the 4 pack. I hope this helps do not hesitate to call amazon if you are not 100% sure what to do. Thank you and thanks for watching!
Hi, I want to ship mobile cases to Amzaon by the FBA method. Please advise what method should I choose for the packaging like no prep required, sold as set, etc. My product is already packed in a box if I choose no prep required then Amazon doesn't allow me to choose the Amazon labeling option. please advise!!!
If you are mailing self-published books to Amazon and they already have an ISBN, do you still have to purchase FNSKU labels? And if so, do you cover up the ISBN with their FNSKU label?
Hi Noir Notes, I do not have experience with self published books. I will say that FNSKU labels are free if you apply them yourself they only cost money if you pay Amazon or a prep service to apply them for you. I would contact Amazon to make sure that an ISBN is good enough just like how you can opt to use a UPC, my gut reaction is yes, as I've never received a new book with an FNSKU on it when ordering myself. However, I always recommend contacting Seller Support when you are unsure of things as that is the only way to ensure you are correct. If you do go the FNSKU route I would cover the ISBN as Amazon usually does not allow for multiple barcodes as their staff gets easily confused. I hope this helps even just a little bit, but the big take away would be contact seller support as at the end of the day they are judge jury and executioner and all I can do is take a guess based on my past experiences. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the video! When sending to FBA, if you have like shampoo or mouthwash etc would you just send it in a polybag or would you send each item in a small cardboard box?
Hi Jack, If I were you I would contact Amazon and definitely include photos if you can as they are the end all be all judge, jury, and executioner. You would have to look into the current requirements based on the volume of liquid as well as the cap/seal type. I have attached the article on liquids for you to view. sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/external/G200280130?language=en_US From my understanding if your product lacks a double seal it will need to be in a poly bag. Hope this helps!
This is a great Video, I subscribed, I have a question, I am newbie to Amazon, My first product going to be Tea Packet, it is in a pouch not a box, Can I send them all in a box or do I have to package them each and every one in a box or any advice appreicated.
Hi Sugeesh, thank you for subscribing! based on the assumptions I'm making and the information provided. Pouches should be ok as various food product does come in a salable unit that is a pouch. You should be able to uniformly case pack these salable units or pouches in a box. Just make sure if you send multiple boxes each one contains the same count. Also keep in mind that a clear expiration date will be needed as well and must be good for the amount of time specified by amazon for your particular product category. You may want to reach out to Amazon to confirm any outstanding questions or doubts. Hope this helps and good luck with your first product!
Hi Merari, The FNSKU label can be on the product itself or the poly bag as long as it scans or is not obstructed in any way. Another thing to point out is the need for a suffocation warning when polybaging. Good luck!
For wholesale I would highly recommend using a UPC or GTIN-14 barcode. An Amazon barcode is what is known as an FNSKU and some retailers will not accept that format when you are selling wholesale. This however is not a given. When sending inventory to amazon the downside of using a UPC instead of an FNSKU is that your inventory will be "comingled" with other's inventory if they are selling the same exact product with the same UPC. These means the 20 units Amazon ships for you may not be exactly the same 20 units it received from you, but rather the same product in good sellable condition.
Can you provide any guidance on shipping ID labels vs FNSKU labels? I've shipped several pallets for boxes sold as set and AMZ warehouses are marking receiving a lot mroe than I send, which means they are opening boxes. I don't know how to stop this. Amazon support is clueless and takes too long.
So with something like poly mailers the biggest problem you will have is having the product accepted by Amazon as they need to determine it to be a sell-able product and not just something thrown together. We have ran into this issue before with some customers who attempted to just throw some stuff in a mailer label it and send it off. Theoretically you could put your polys in a mailer and just label them with Sold As Set and your barcode , but I would strongly recommend putting some effort into branding and packaging to ensure you do not get turned away. I would recommend a clear poly with suffocation warning as well as a nice branded color label showing your brand and product information. You will still need to affix a barcode label and a sold as set, but this will present a lot better than just a mailer and help you establish yourself as a real brand in Amazon's eyes. I would then buy some boxes and create a uniform case pack and send to Amazon that way. Hope this helps.
@@ShipmateFulfillment why buy boxes? Will not amazon pack it in boxes if doing fba? Can you please post example product to buy for such packaging? How can i contact you on email?
Hi BlueBird, generally you don't need one but I highly recommend unless it is absolutely obvious that you check the list of items on seller central that requires an expiration date. Its a lot of items you'd expect but also some surprises. Also the expiration date has to be decently far out and that depends on the category also Amazon doesn't want to be selling soon to expire goods
hi, thanks a lot for your explanation, and I have three question and no one answer me, I have five different colors of phone holders totally is 40 pieces. which one should I use incase packed product or individual product. Second question, Amazon gave me 40 labels for each item, shall I put each label on each item. Third question, Amazon gave me box label, I think that one I should put it on the box and what is the carrier label from where can I get it... Again , I want to thank you
Hi Abdulla, I will do my best to answer your question as best as possible given the info you provided. It sounds to me like you are sending a mixed case. If you are sending one big box you should use the individual products rather than the case packed products option. Then be sure to barcode your items correctly with the FNSKU to match the correct color. You should then be able to put them in a single box and place the Amazon carton label and shipping label on that mixed carton. Just be careful to follow all the instructions and properly fill out the forms with the correct info. You should be able to get the shipping label from the same screen as the carton label and you can buy it through Amazon. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
@@ShipmateFulfillment thanks a lot ,,, actually I used incase packed product and I put each color with their FNSKU in different box and I put for each carton the Amazon FBA label (base on what they gave me) and shipment label>>>is that job correct,, Again I like your explanation and the way of how you explain..
@@sallam22 If you go the route of cased packed products you would then just have to select that option at the start. You need to be careful to fill out all the forms with the proper case count and configuration. When you get to the end if done correctly it should give you one carton label and shipping label per box. Hope this helps!
I don't get what you mean with the expiration date and what is it that will be expired if it's a jar ? Or is there a certain amount of time it can sit in the warehouse?
Hi Braydon, I just used a jar as an example as jars generally contain food product. Amazon requires a certain amount of time to be left before expiration on goods that expire. This varies based on the category so it is important to check. Generally Amazon does not want to run the risk of selling near expired or expired product and having it returned. This is why expiration dates are crutial
Thanks for the video. Great Information. I am preparing my first shipment....Yay. Tell me if I have this correct. I am selling a pack of 2 glass spice containers. I bubbled wrap each container, then put both into a poly bag, placed the fnsku label inside the polybag so that when sealed the barcode label can be seen and placed a "this is a set, do not separate" label on the outside. Is that correct? Do I have to put a fnsku label on each container too? thanks!
Hi Swirlygirl, Based on the information provided you are about 90% there. Everything appears to be correct accept that you definitely want that FNSKU on the outside of the poly bag where it is easily scalable. If the FNSKU has a barrier covering it even clear plastic sometimes it can throw off a barcode scanner or even worse your shipment could be outright rejected. You do not need a label on each container, just one on the outer poly bag. Good luck and I hope you find success with your containers!
Hello I had a question , I’m selling on Amazon and I’m preparing my first shipment as well . When you put your products in a polybag and fnsku on the outside , did you have to pay for an Amazon box for each of your units ? Or Amazon does it on there own?
Shrink wrap does not need a suffocation warning as it is not considered a bag and therefore lacks any form of opening. Suffication warnings are required when an opening greater than 5" is present. You may however choose to use a suffocation warning as a precaution to avoid any contention, but it is not legally required. Anytime you are using polybags, or other suffocation risk items you should note it on the packaging in some way. Here at Shipmate our poly bags already have a suffocation warning on them and if we are using poly tube, we print our own warning labels. Hope this answers your question and good luck!
I have a question for you man. If I have 500 small mats do I need 500 small boxes to put each one in and then to larger boxes? Or put them in the large boxes straight without the small boxes and amazon takes care of the rest?
Hi Kooora, It would depend on the mat generally if they have a hang tag or some other type of packaging with a UPC or FNSKU that would be enough. However if the mat is made of a fabric or fabric like material it may have to be contained in a bag or box as Amazon does not allow any exposed fabrics in their FCs. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
Hello, So im sending out my first fba order and im not sure how i should prepare my items. The first product is a 48 keurig cup box and a few lego box sets. Do i need to bubble wrap those or can I just slap the label on it
Thank you for the video! Everything is explained in plain and simple language! Can you do a video on the specific product categories and all the requirements for the packaging on Amazon US vs EU? There are new rules applied at least in EU and I´ve been googling conditions for specific categories for hours without success. This would be awesome. Thanks!
Another question: if i want AMAZon to do labelling and prepping, ( and im willing to pay for the extra charge), are there any requirements on how i should send my products to them?
Hi Yvette, If you go through seller central and select the items you wish to send, during the process Amazon will prompt you to select the type of prep needed for your products. You can then select the prep you wish Amazon to preform on your behalf.
Place the label on just the poly bag especially if it is clear as the more visible labels the more likely for confusion. I would recommend putting your barcode or FNSKU on just the set polybag and including another sticker (or on the same sticker) the words sold as set do not separate. Thank you for watching and I hope this helps.
@@ShipmateFulfillment so you can combine labels messages? The size of the label isn’t a thing? The FNSKU doesn’t need to be the size that Amazon recommends? Can you add made in China, and a suffocation warning all on the same label?
hi, how are you I want to know about I am planning to send the shoe charms to my store but when I listen to your video you are talking about we do not send amazon no more than 150 pieces in one box? I am confused about it please explain about shoe charms its small in size and weight is also very low please explain how many pieces we send of shoe jibbitz in one box.
Lots of great information! Can you please clarify what you mean when you say the expiration date has to be visible at all times? Like in the example you gave with the jar, what else would you have to do to show the expiration date if the expiration date is already on the jar?
Hi Christian, Thanks for watching. When I say visible at all times I mean it cannot be covered or obscured. I've seen sellers put labels or other packaging over top of their expiration dates and this is not allowed. For example the Jar with a clearly marked expiration date is good, but if that jar was within a color outer box and that box didn't show the date and you couldn't easily see it on the jar inside this would be a problem and may be rejected. It is also important to make sure your expiration date is clearly visible on the case or carton as well. Failure to have an easily locatable expiration date could risk your inventory being received as expired by FBA.
Another question for you, please guide: I have received the following from GS1: - company prefix(es): XXXXXXXXX (9 digits) - Legal Entity Global Location Number (GLN): XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13 digits) How can I use the GS1 company prefix(es) to create Product ID (i.e., UPC code)?
Hi 2btns, The UPC prefix is a 6 digit code. the next 5 digits can be a sku or another 5 digit assigned number. The check digit is then automatically generated from those 11 numbers. Hope this helps
Hello, I really liked your video, I just have one question. If I am shipping an item that needs to be polybagged, am I supposed to polybag the item and also put it in an envelope? Thanks
Hi, If you are sending the item to FBA generally you would polybag and barcode then place the goods back into their master case for shipping to FBA. FBA will place the item into an outer carton (maybe an even envelope) when they do fulfillment. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
Being a veteran AA at Amazon I can tell you that your product needs to withstand a lot of harsh treatment from various processes especially at the sort center. Most of the products we receive at the sort center have been damaged prior to us receiving we just get the blame for it. Lots of stuffing or a customized package design is preferred. we do our best in repairing the package before replacing it. it is usually a poorly packaged product is delayed because of the vendor. We are required to not repair a package that its damages are larger than my hand. We stretch that at times. My word to you is if you want your customer happy, you want your money, our requirements are not that unreasonable .
Hi Surjeet, I am answering for Amazon US as every country has different standards. See below for a quote taken directly from seller central: Box dimensions Boxes containing multiple standard-size items or oversized items must not exceed 25.00 inches on any side. A box may only exceed the 25.00 inch limit if it contains oversize units that measure longer than 25.00 inches. Boxes that are excessively large relative to the oversize units (exceeding the 2 inches of cushioning recommended above) may be subject to restriction of shipping privileges, additional fees, or refusal at a fulfillment center. Weigh and measure boxes and pallets accurately and ensure that the correct values are provided for every shipment. All cartons must also meet these weight requirements: Boxes must not exceed the standard weight limit of 50.00 lb, unless they contain one single item that exceeds 50.00 lb. For a single item that exceeds 50.00 lb, attach a label that clearly indicates Team Lift on the top and sides of the box. For a single item that exceeds 100.00 lb, attach a label that clearly indicates Mechanical Lift on the top and sides of the box. Boxes containing jewelry or watches must not exceed 40.00 lb. Hi Laura, Thank you so much for watching. Amazon will generate the carton shipping labels. for you, but in general best practice is to use a 4"x6" thermal label and zebra (or similar quality) thermal printer.
Hi Lightie, If the boxes of are case packed and they already have upc labels I would see no need for any prep shy of fba case labeling. If you do not have a upc barcode you many need to use an fnsku barcode on each unit which you can get through seller central. Please let me know if I am missing something you can also call seller central if you are not 100% sure what to do. I often recommend this as at least you have a written record or recorded call with the details of what they told you to do. Hope this helps and good luck!
you are awesome!!! honest and straight to the point. too many people spend 80 % of the youtube videos explaining their life story and promoting sponsors. thank you for answering the questions I had and the questions I did not know I had!!!
Thank you so much for your feedback and we are glad we could answer some of your questions :)

@Victor Diego Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.

@Victor Diego it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
best video I seen so far for prep, on already listen items!!!!!!!
No one explanation that much before love u bro God bless u
Thank you for the video, it was short and too the point without long pointless intro and unneccessary information! Loved it. I had a question, what if I am selling item like rugs or carpets? Can I shrink/vacuum pack them in a poly bag, then place FNSKU on them and send them to AMZ warehouse without carton box? Will they accept it or will AMZ require me to pack them in a carton box?
Please let me know :)
Detailed description of Amazon FBA. Thank you!
You are very welcome! Thank you for watching!
for my specific type of product, they are also requirements like to putt the items in a suffocation bag, if i choose amazon prep will then amazon cover stuff like theese for me?
Great video for visual learners. I watched a couple of other videos, but yours answered my many questions as I was literally trying to ship these items today!
Thank you so much for watching and good luck with the FBA Prep!
Thank you for putting together such great content and leaving out the fluff. You really just get down to business and I appreciate that.
Thank you so much for your kind comments and for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video and always happy to help!
Just a little FYI at 3:30 it's better to hide the original bare code if you're gona use the FSNSKU
Good catch, these particular cords tend to shift in the shrink-wrap, but it is best practice to hide the original barcode if that can be done.
Hi there. Re expiration dates- if I have 6 products with 2 individual products having an expiration date, do I have to pack them in an entirely different box to the other items? (Even if I put the expiry date on the main box?) thanks!
Thank you for a thorough video on how to box your products. I've been waiting for this tutorial for a while.
Thank you so much for the kind comment! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Are we supposed to cover manufacturing bar code when putting fnsku ?
One of the best advices on UA-cam. Thanks mate!
Let say your selling gift bags? What would you do?
II have some books ready to sell on Amazon. I printed out the labels and tried to ship them, but when I try to send them it is asking for a sku before I can continue. Do you have a video on something that my help me get this order shipped?
Hi there everyone! I am new in the seller space and wanted additional information in regards to FBA for example: Have you heard of FBA Opportunities tab in Seller Central? Have you seen it?
Thanks for all the tips and information about amazon shipping and labels.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Please suggest any distributors in Florida state for prep stuff like poly bag, bubble, and master box
Do you gotta have the FNSKU sticker on shoes?
there is no an automative tool for creating this case labels? or should I do them with Photoshop?
How would I handle an item where I order 10,000 units but I am selling a pack of 10 or a pack of 5? Do I tell the manufacturer to pack the items 5 or 10 per one box? And include an FSKU on each item inside that box?
Thank you so much for the example you showed. It was hard to find someone with an example of the “sold as set” sticker.
Thank you so much for watching! Glad you found one with the sticker :)
Thanks for making this video bro, it’s highly appreciated 👊🏼
Thank you! Someone's got to do it haha!
Such an awesome vido on FBA shipping prep. When shipping to Amazon straight from the supplier, will your freight forwarder make sure your case labels are attatached?
Excellent presentation. I have seen many other videos and needed clarification, but yours is easy. It is all clear now to me. Thank you
I’m working on creating my own Amazon handmade store. Is the FBA the same for handmade?
Thanks. Very informative. Do we need UPC for creating a listing or we can just use FSNKU code for items. Thanks
Amazing video. Im official subscribed after watching this!
Welcome aboard! Thank you so much for watching the video and glad to have you on board!
can i just use my upc code alone? or do i need that sticker aswell
thank you for the explanation it's helped me a lot but? have 2q please clear it to me.
1-i should do a barcode label on each unit
2- label on the box that I am going to ship
Great! Could you please explain how to know a product already sold on amazon? suppose I choose a product from alibaba how i can find the exact (100%) product on amazon? I know how to search by name and category (it shows the similir not exact one)
If i choose a product from alibaba without costumiztion (private label) does alibaba provide GTINs (Product ID)?
Thanks
Hi Talash,
Generally a quick Amazon search should suffice.

Thank you so much, it was really helpful
My problem:-
I want to sell a product on Amazon which is already sold as a wholesale seller/retail arbitrage (not private label) so when I search that product on Alibaba many manufacturers produce the same item therefore can I choose any one? This is almost three months that I couldn’t resolve this issue.
Note:-
For launch of this business I want to resell a product.
Very informative. Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you so much for watching and thank you for the comment!

Thanks bro, been in the process of starting one up. This was really helpful
Glad we could help! Thank you for watching we appreciate it!
QUESTION REGARDING CASE COUNT
What if not all of my items are sold as a case, but some of them are sold as a case…Am I able to send singular items and sold as case items … because not everyone is buying the caSe items …
Hi Med,
There is not way to do what you are requesting, however I recommend you look into (FBM) Fulfilled by merchant. This way you can print your own labels and store at your own place then drop it off when it sells at a UPS facility. Do a quick search for FBM and you should find the closest thing to what you are looking for
Should we cover the ups barcode with amazon fsku barcode? or just place the fsku barcode in other place?
Hi Oceangoing,
Generally sellers will use the UPC barcode instead of the FNSKU barcode because it requires less effort and allows you to sell your products retail as well. If you wish to use the FNSKU instead I would definitely cover any existing UPC to limit confusion. Hope this helps!
@@ShipmateFulfillment Thank for the reply 👍🏻
Great info! I'm from the UK, just starting FBA, but I guess the exact same rules and tips apply!!
I would say the basics should, however I would still read through some of their help articles to catch any differences. Good luck!
how and where did you send your items ?
Can I use bubble wrap for packaging instead of poly bags?
Hi Dalha,
Your best bet to be 100% sure is to check out some of the amazon help articles or to call or email seller central. They are always the best resource as they are judge jury and executioner. Hope this helps!
Does it matter where you put the bar code on the product??? Should it be over the bar code that’s already on it?
Excelent Information, I have a question, If i sell cloths and i polybag it, do i have to put the FSKU barcode directly on my cloth? or can it be on the polybad individually??? Thank you so much!
You put it on the poly bag.
If you sell clothes on Amazon do you need a different box for each size and color or can you have a variety of sizes and colors in one box?
Hi, thanks for your great informative video.
My question is :
If i want my product ( a 100 ml bottle organic skin moisturiser) to be packed in bubble wrap, then a lesflet inside with instructions on how to use/ingredients etc, is this ok?... and if i pack each bottle in s small 6sided carton, can i just PRINT the FNSKU and expiry date on each of the carton packaging? OR DO I really have to print the label - FBSKUs and expiry dafe - from my computer, and stick thrm on my product and product box? Or can i just stick it on the box package only?
Hi Yvette,
I would be really cautious with whatever you decide to do.
Great explanation. Can you do a video on how to actually list a product on amazonfba?
Hi SRT,
I've been looking into doing some computer tutorials, but our producer has trouble blanking out some of the private info on a moving screen so these have been put on hold for now.
Hi Lucas,
When I say marketing materials this does not include "branding" Amazon doesn't care if a brand logo or other information is showing. Hope this helps and good luck!
hey Buddy,
I'm preparing liquid stain bottles pack of 2 but amazon asking poly bags can we wrap it in bubble wrap instead of it.
@@ShipmateFulfillment thank u so much.. on your advice I did the same..
Hello,
About the polybags, The item I have is smaller than the bag.
Can I ask 2 Qs to clarify my mind
1. We have private label products but no merchandise barcode. What barcode should we use? GS1, upc or fnsku?
2. Our products are in a craft box. Should we also wrap these boxes with poly bag?
Thank you in advance.
Hi Ozge,
I would recommend using a UPC if you can.
Hi Sam,
Theoretically you have the right idea, but I don't think this is enough.
If we use amazon prep service do they make pack of two also

In the form of sets?
Hi Hani,
It would depend on the prep service you are using.
Loved the video! great quality and explains really well, especially for begginers.
Thanks so much! Appreciate it!
The intro 😂😂😂😂 the realest this 👍
Hey here at Shipmate we tell it how it is lol
thanks. ehy i ordered my producs . i will have 200 units so when im doing the pre shoud i pack then in a box of 100 unit and another box for my other 100 unit?
Hi Noir Notes,
I do not have experience with self published books.
Hi Jack,
If I were you I would contact Amazon and definitely include photos if you can as they are the end all be all judge, jury, and executioner. You would have to look into the current requirements based on the volume of liquid as well as the cap/seal type. I have attached the article on liquids for you to view. sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/external/G200280130?language=en_US
From my understanding if your product lacks a double seal it will need to be in a poly bag.
Hope this helps!
you have one more "like" and a very pleased subscriber!
Thank you!
It's a very informative video! Thank you! I do have a question... does the FNSKU Label is placed in the product itself or the box/ polybag used?
Hi Merari,
The FNSKU label can be on the product itself or the poly bag as long as it scans or is not obstructed in any way. Another thing to point out is the need for a suffocation warning when polybaging. Good luck!
What is the downside using manufacturing barcode instead of amazon barcode for wholesale. Thank you!
Excellent video, well explained
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for watching!
Great video for new starters, thanks for your efforts.
Very detailed
Thanks!
What if you are selling for example poly bags as a set? How do we prep?
Can we use mailers?
Great Video Great lesson Great Teacher!! Thank You!
Glad you liked it!
Hi! I see you said that an expiration label is super important. What if the item really doesn't have one? Like it's an accessory. Thanks in advance!
@@ShipmateFulfillment thanks a lot ,,, actually I used incase packed product and I put each color with their FNSKU in different box and I put for each carton the Amazon FBA label (base on what they gave me) and shipment label>>>is that job correct,,
Again I like your explanation and the way of how you explain..
Should the Suffocating Message be on the shrink wrap?
Shrink wrap does not need a suffocation warning as it is not considered a bag and therefore lacks any form of opening. Suffication warnings are required when an opening greater than 5" is present. You may however choose to use a suffocation warning as a precaution to avoid any contention, but it is not legally required. Anytime you are using polybags, or other suffocation risk items you should note it on the packaging in some way. Here at Shipmate our poly bags already have a suffocation warning on them and if we are using poly tube, we print our own warning labels. Hope this answers your question and good luck!
@@ShipmateFulfillment Thank you!!!
Hi for the poly bag is it must be transparent or i can use like that blurry poly bags ?
I have a question for you man. If I have 500 small mats do I need 500 small boxes to put each one in and then to larger boxes?
Or put them in the large boxes straight without the small boxes and amazon takes care of the rest?
Hi Kooora, It would depend on the mat generally if they have a hang tag or some other type of packaging with a UPC or FNSKU that would be enough. However if the mat is made of a fabric or fabric like material it may have to be contained in a bag or box as Amazon does not allow any exposed fabrics in their FCs. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
Hello,
So im sending out my first fba order and im not sure how i should prepare my items.
Thanks!
Hi Michal, Do you have any specific categories in mind? Thanks
If you have garments like jeans . How many can you putbin one package.
Another question: if i want AMAZon to do labelling and prepping, ( and im willing to pay for the extra charge), are there any requirements on how i should send my products to them?
Hi Yvette,
If you go through seller central and select the items you wish to send, during the process Amazon will prompt you to select the type of prep needed for your products. You can then select the prep you wish Amazon to preform on your behalf.
@@ShipmateFulfillment Thank you. I will try this.
If I am going to send a set of 2, Do I have to put a label on each one and then on the poly bag? or just I have to put the label on the poly bag?
@@ShipmateFulfillment thanks for clarifying and providing such a detailed response! Much appreciated!
@@Christiangrubaums No problem thank you for watching!
Another question for you, please guide:
I have received the following from GS1:
- company prefix(es): XXXXXXXXX (9 digits)
- Legal Entity Global Location Number (GLN): XXXXXXXXXXXXX (13 digits)
How can I use the GS1 company prefix(es) to create Product ID (i.e., UPC code)?
Hi 2btns, The UPC prefix is a 6 digit code. the next 5 digits can be a sku or another 5 digit assigned number. The check digit is then automatically generated from those 11 numbers. Hope this helps
@@ShipmateFulfillment it does help. Thank you ❤
Hello, I really liked your video, I just have one question.
Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
super helpful content thank you so much!
Thank you so much for watching! Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the video it helped me a lot!!!!
Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed the video!
what should be the case size for shipping to amazon warehouse?
Hi Surjeet, I am answering for Amazon US as every country has different standards. See below for a quote taken directly from seller central:
Box dimensions
Boxes containing multiple standard-size items or oversized items must not exceed 25.00 inches on any side.
All cartons must also meet these weight requirements:
Boxes must not exceed the standard weight limit of 50.00 lb, unless they contain one single item that exceeds 50.00 lb.
UPS allowances for larger box dimensions and weight do not apply to boxes containing multiple standard-size items.

is a great video !!! i wish there were more out there... just wondering where do i find those case shipping labels ?
Hi Laura, Thank you so much for watching. Amazon will generate the carton shipping labels. for you, but in general best practice is to use a 4"x6" thermal label and zebra (or similar quality) thermal printer.
Where do we get
The FN Scue stickers from ?
Does anyone know how to prep the boxes of disposable gloves? Cause any of the prep choices dont really fit.
It's case packed, 10 units per box
Hi Lightie,
If the boxes of are case packed and they already have upc labels I would see no need for any prep shy of fba case labeling.
