The "trick" of putting the cursor at the top of a plugin to reveal a white line and then inserting a plugin above. Works with audio plugins as well. 15+ years with Logic and I STILL always learn something from each of your videos. Thank you!
Man, you are one of the best instruction manual for Logic, period.. You are extremely greatly appreciated bro.. Thank you so much for your teachings.. Logic should hire you if they haven't already.. Outstanding work young man.. You get so intricate it spreads in anything you make.. Yes, this is the University.. Yeah brruh, Logic U.. You got that locked.. Bro you build foundations and it's up to us to run with it.. I bet FullSail would be like, this dude is giving us a run for the money.. lol.. OR, Logic Cheat Code U.. lol.. This tutorial was more than I expected.. Thanks again..
Each and every video is an absolute must watch. Dave Earl taught me the basics a good decade ago, but you…you are just the absolute Logic reference. Apple should make Logic Certified a thing again. Just for you.
That was an AMAZING Tutorial! I can’t thank you enough! That gave me a workflow and creativity Boost of i don’t know, i think about 300%! 😭👌🏼 I have just started to produce music with logic actively since about a month ago. I started without knowing anything about music theory, so i don’t know how to play piano, i didn’t know what the key of a music was and so much more… i started from zero! I am a house music producer and have just released my first track on this UA-cam channel and soundcloud. I think it’s not bad for my first production and because i have just started about a month ago… 🤷🏽♂️ But till now, i have just used audio fx like the equalizer, delay, reverb and that kind of things. I didn’t knew what Midi FX is and haven’t used it one single time! 😣 And that gives me so much creativity now! Just allone the arpeggiator will help so much! 😅👌🏼 I can’t thank you enough for that tutorial! 🙏🏽😭 It’s extremely hard and overwhelming to start with producing music without music theory and especially with a language barrier like i have because it’s all in English…
Hi Josh. Great video. If you just looked at the tracks, the chords are actually playing notes, and the single notes are playing chords. Crazy, mind blown.
I love using the chord trigger and getting refreshed on everything sounds great today 🙏 I just spent the past hour tweaking a drum kit in DMD, and got the pads mapped to work exactly how I want to on my iPad with Logic Remote and keeping the smart tools open on the iPad too 🎉
In this video, I demonstrate the following: 1. How to load and work with MIDI FX plugins. 2. The basics of using the Arpeggiator, Chord Trigger, Note Repeater and Transposer. 3. How to record MIDI FX to a track. 4. How to use MIDI FX plugins in a track stack. I know this is video is about 7 months old, but I have a problem regarding the (Record MIDI FX to Track) option, specifically, it isn't showing up for me, even though my Logic Pro version is 10.8. Is there anything I'm missing?
Hey Josh, I had no idea that mini effects options even existed? I’ve never used them, but what a great way to learn something new and have so much fun at the same time. Thank you
I'm aware. See this video from 4 years ago on that. Although it is not exactly convenient. Hopefully the next Logic update offers a non-real-time MIDI bounce function. ua-cam.com/video/-JOZCITL-Og/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Could having the midi in the track stack circumvent having to manually play in midi on the individual tracks in order to print the midi effects to the region?
That's a great question, and the same question I had when they first introduced the feature. Sadly, no, it doesn't work that way, but hopefully in a future update they'll make it so you don't have to play in the MIDI in order to record the FX.
Excuse my English but I speak Italian. You are a real phenomenon with Logic. Thank you for everything you teach 🙏👌
What’s to excuse? Your English is flawless. 😊

You-are-the-chosen-one. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.! 🏆
Great tips! Especially the last stacking multi tracks is superb!

I'm really hoping for that update which allows you to record midi data without having to play it in.
has that happened ?
Thank you as always. The track stack trick is awesome!
Thank you, that was very helpful. 🤗

Josh, you’re like the Energizer Bunny!
Whatever you like, have one on me! 😉👌🏼

Cool. So I can make great bass lines with the help of the arpeggiator, and many other things wit/ these midi effects plugins. 👍🏻💪🏻🙏🏻
brilliant as usual! Thank you! 🤘
Still just Wow. 👍🎙🎸🎹🎤
It's possible to bounce MIDI to MIDI without playing, using IAC Driver or MIDI input/output of your external soundcard.

Logic is totally lame around the recording effects on a track already done !
It should be able to do this
