Quite a good purchase!! Enjoyed that video. Drake is mastering every outdoor skill imaginable. So good for a young kid. Well done!!! Keep enjoying and thanks for sharing ! Cheers.
No regrets so far with the new ride. Drake was definitely enjoying driving the boat and he handled it like a pro. I'm blessed that he enjoys doing all the outdoor activities with us and getting to experience a lot of things most kids his age don't get to see and do. Thanks buddy! I hope to see one of your videos soon! Take care.
Nice rig , ya can go almost anywhere there’s water b, miss my rig , sold my mud buddy engine switched to a 4 stroke Yammy , reason why because we ain’t got no ducks where I used to hunt anymore , so might as well fish 3-4 times a week now that I’m retired , really enjoy ya videos , lov ya area as well keep them videos coming and thanks again for sharing
I don't do a whole lot of hunting anymore. I might would consider getting more into hunting if my son really wants to. We do plenty of fishing though. I sure hope I can do as much fishing as you when I retire. Sounds like you living it up! Thanks buddy! 🎣
He’s driving a boat for the first time? When I was his age me and my little brother were out on the boat by ourselves! Of course times are different now!
Many more people, here in South Louisiana, are going to those Go-Devils! It's got to be a dream for duck hunters, and fishing those shallow ponds with lots of grass. Whatever they cost, they are worth it. Congrats on your new rig. Looking good. Be safe, and God bless you and the family!
It definitely worth it considering how much we out there in the shallow marshes. I've owned a couple of mud motors in the past but it's first time I got the full set up. Loving it so far. Thanks buddy! Take care.🐊
Hey man I grew up in Lakefield. I’m out there almost every weekend. I have a 9 hp go devil and I’ll tell you what it’s thick back there and you’re gator tail makes it look like nothing. And good job to your son I’m driving he did amazing.
We go play around Lake Fields and Lake Long a good bit. Beautiful area around there. It's definitely thick back there with grass. That 40 gatortail does really well in just about anything. My son loves driving it and I really enjoy watching him do it. Thanks buddy! Maybe we will cross paths out there one day. 🍻
I just found your channel, and I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your adventures! Your boat is awesome as well. What are the specs on it? I’m in the market and I love the size of yours.
Since a lot of people ask about price, I'll say this... If time is not a consideration and your handy at fabrication, rigging skills then, shop independently for used trailer, hulls (SeaArk) others used - no engines. They appear sporadically but do appear. Then, buy a low hour Gator or new saving big money. BIG MONEY. Look to travel to get it. My one year plan...
I know right... But my Son's are in a powerhouse football program in Oklahoma. We are looking for fish camp property though south of Monroe - Ruston on the Washita.
Californian here. I didn’t even know this kind of water existed. Crazy shit man. Is this mostly duck hunting or is there decent fishing, too? Or is this just for fun and cruising? Looks hella fun!
I had at one time a mud buddy long tail on a 14 foot flat. That long tail would work you to death. I miss it though. My wife asked me the other day when are you going to get another mud boat? I think this is the video to show her 😂
I had a prodrive for 20 years and now have a GatorTail for around 3 years. I have no complaints about either one. I do prefer the GatorTail. You can't go wrong if you get any of the new mud motors out there. Take care!🐊
Tow boat USA will have a hard attack watching this lake // How do you know where water ends and land starts going 30mph. does depth finder work in that kind of water?
As a northerner I don't understand how you can run through all that grass and weeds without wrapping up the prop. There was another comment about that, must have been a Yankee also
Those motors and props are designed to go through grass and mud. There are several different companies that make similar motors like that around our area. They are very popular due to how well they do in the marshes and swamps.
I run my Mud Buddy in all kinds of nastiness in Northern MN. Now, the wild rice can get flexible and stringy and wrap up in the prop at lower speeds. But tilt the prop out of the water and give it a good burst of HP and it's all clear.
What are the specs on that boat? That vanguard engine is a four stroke, how much horsepower does it put out? Here in Missouri there jetboats that are real handy on Ozark streams, I've had 1 since 1987. Your setup looks real handy and can haul ass pretty good.
@@datlouisianalife It probably does pretty decent on fuel. I had a 30' triple pontoon playbuoy supreme with a factory Suzuki race outboard, that runs stout, but goes thru a 100$ in gas in a day.
Binge watching for 2 days & counting. Wholesome family fun in Mother Natures Home. You guys rock.
love this family! Beautiful life! I really enjoyed this video.
Nice ride thanks guys
I subscribed just yesterday and as it happens - I was looking for Gator-Tail info. Then this! Very cool!
Awesome boat Keith, a great investment. 👍🏻
Cool mini adventures! I too am always trying to get into some of those and see where it goes. Fun videos.
Awesome video with the crew and great boat.
I have a great crew! Thank you!
Tara is a trouper. My wife wouldn't have been so chill riding through a rain shower!
Why
That’s very sweet of ur boy to give his momma that pretty flower!
It was a good time- it is nice how you interact with your son
The "music" fit perfect for this video. Enjoyed it, thanks.
I really appreciate you saying that. I spend more time trying to fit the music to the videos then you know. You made my night! 🐸

That looks like fun, glad y'all didn't get stuck, hell you can't get stuck with boat....great video.
I'm sure I could find a way to get it stuck but I will have to go somewhere else to find some thicker mud😂
That would make a great video, see what it takes to get one stuck. Looking forward to watching that one.
Looking like some serious fun, thanks for the awesome tour.👍
It always a blast when I get to have my crew come out and play with me. Thanks buddy! 🐸
Awesome rig ! 😮
My buddy runs one of these up on the Connecticut River in VT, water fowling
Great job, great boat,im stuck in California but would rather be in the Swamp in Louisiana, have a blessed evening, always in my prayers, love you
Thanks buddy! Take care over there in California. 🐊

Congrats on a great looking rig man! Y’all gonna get a lot of use out of that!
Thanks buddy! We been in that boat almost every day since we got it. 😂
VERY COOL VIDEO, GOOD JOB ,,,,,ENJOY !👍😎
Right there in my backyard. Gonna have to meet up one day back there and go cruise in the boats. Always back there when I’m on my weeks off
We were out there yesterday evening playing around.

Hell yeah, I trust mine a lot, I never have second thoughts while heading into something, I always bring a push pole though, you never know 😂
So far it has been a beast. It definitely goes everywhere that I want to go. 🐊
Man I like that boat & motor.
So far it's been my best purchase. I've been pretty tough on it since I got it and it hasn't let me down. 🐊
Outstanding, thanks
Having fun O yeah guys
Love the drone footage
Thank you!
Cant wait to get my next boat. I got a 19 foot center console fiberglass boat right now but im switching back to aluminum with a tiller handle.
I actually have a 19 foot G3 and I never use it. We always take the GatorTail tiller handle.
@datlouisianalife I fish in Bay st louis and stay in the marsh and pearl river. I'm looking to get a 15 foot with a tiller handle.
@@derick2986 I highly recommend a GatorTail motor if like fishing shallow marsh. I really like mine.
@@datlouisianalife they have crossed my mind. I really like your setup
What length is this boat? Very nice rig
Great boat
Coo Yah mes ami !!!!!! Les marais est un cauchemar !
How do you keep from getting stuck out there. Long swim back, lol
Haven't got stuck yet! I'm sure it will happen sooner or later 🤣
Great test ride, how many HP is the motor ???
It's a 40hp

Thanks a lot buddy! The haul is 18x48 with a 40 gatortail. So far it's been great!
What size motor you bought.
Lake fields looks choked up.

@datlouisianalife I was greatly impressed with your vid. Last week, I knew nothing about these types of boats.
Oh man this is awesome
What motor is on your boat?
@@dalearnold8918 It's a 40 HP GatorTail
@@datlouisianalife Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought that was the boat brand.
How many feet long is yur new boat ??
Now lets have a beer
You all ever have issues messing up your prop by hitting logs?
Never had any issues. Those props and motors are made to take some abuse.
@@datlouisianalife gotcha, just wondering thanks
What is the make and model of Drone are you using. How does it do with wind.
It's a DJI mini 3 pro. It does pretty good in the wind. It will let you know when the wind gets to bad.
Brother that looked like some serious fun. There ain’t no duck or red fish safe around you
The ducks might have a chance but reds are definitely in trouble 😂. I don't go hunting near as much as I use to. Thanks buddy!
Makes me wanna move to LA.
I know right... But my Son's are in a powerhouse football program in Oklahoma. We are looking for fish camp property though south of Monroe - Ruston on the Washita.

Thanks buddy! It's a 1848 with a 40 HP GatorTail. 🐊
Im looking for a redfish boat in the marsh. Skiff or gator tail?
I'm a fan of a flat bottom aluminum haul for the marsh. I really like the one I have now. GatorTail extreme 1848
Tow boat USA will have a hard attack watching this lake // How do you know where water ends and land starts going 30mph. does depth finder work in that kind of water?
I don't have a depth finder. I know the area pretty well so I don't normally hit land. 🤣
What kind of drone do you have
Hi! Alot of people have asked that! Check out this affiliate link. It's the drone we use and we love it! amzn.to/3P5v9R3
Where ever thay pass there is a trail
Where y'all from? South Lafourche here in Galliano
We live by Houma.
love the new boat its bad a%% in dat grass
I'm sure it's capable of much more but that's more than enough for me. Thanks buddy!
Looks good. You trade the old one in or added that to the fleet?
I'm gonna be selling my other one soon.
What body of water was this?
Lake Fields
Hello.sir what kind of you use??how much?
It's a GatorTail 1848 with a 40hp. A new rig like that will run close to 30 grand. Picked mine up used for 16.
Any idea of your top speed with the 40hp motor?
I got 33 mph out of it.
How much does a boat like this cost?
That rig cost me 16 grand. I bought it second hand. Brand new will run around 25 to 30 grand.
Qué chido!!
What an awesome ride ☺️
Linda from Missouri 👍🥰😊♥️
Nice 🤙
These thing tear up the ever glades not air boats
👍 What brand engine is that how many cylinders, and how much horsepower ? I like it
