Christina Ricci was 40 years old when she filmed this but she's still got a very youthful appearance and demeanour. Even the way she speaks gives the impression that she's in her late twenties or early thirties instead of middle aged. I've noticed that petite women seem to age more slowly. Aside from being attractive, Christina also seems to be a sweetheart. Apparently, she was abused by her husband and filed for divorce. The Amber Heard and Johnny Depp fiasco has made me wary of believing accusations of domestic abuse but I think Christina's telling the truth because 1) she married a man who's basically a member of the "unwashed masses" so unlike Heard she clearly wasn't in it for the money and 2) her choice of movie roles shows a strong independent streak and a willingness to stay out of the mainstream spotlight so if this reflects who she is as a person, her accusations aren't just a cry for attention. She seems like the kind of person who likes to do her own thing, doesn't give a shit about what people think of her and hates being a damsel in distress, so I doubt she would lie about being a victim of domestic abuse because I think doing so would hurt her pride. Maybe coming out about it is also a blow to her pride so I don't think she would have done so if she wasn't genuinely miserable with her husband and desperate to get away from him.
