Not much into horror, but really just leaving this comment for the algorithm. How you do t have millions of subscribers and views, I just don't get. Keep up the excellent recommendations!
I am so happy you discovered Tami Hoag! She is my favorite thriller writer and has an extensive backlist [with a new book out later on this year!] . After the deeper than the dead series, I would try "ashes to ashes" or a "thin red line", the 1st books in her other series. I like how she varies the settings of her books, montana, the bayou, minnesota. Lends alot of atmosphere to the stories. Happy reading!
Would love a dark academia recommends from you!! I adored “If We Were Villains” - I fall into the “you can’t give me enough Shakespeare” so I loved it, esp since I felt it dealt with Shakespearean themes well. It felt like the author had thought about them for a long time. Can’t wait for a dark academia video! Thanks!!
Indian burial ground sounds like a banger. I preordered on kindle just now. Im working my way thru wheel of time and im thinking this will be a great palate cleanser for in between books. Thanks for the recs!
another great recommendations video. i love thriller especially crime thriller like Tami Hoag - but better to read Chris Carter or Jack Kerley, or even darker imo Mo Hayder also i haven't given YA Thriller a great chance tbh. should try the ones you recommended. in my youth (12-14) i read mostly John Saul and some Stephen King but never really YA thrillers. need to check them out most def as palate cleansers
This Book is full of Spiders by David Wong is an awesome horror/cosmic horror/comedic book...John Dies at the End by the same author is also very entertaining. Great video by the way!!!
Talking about Indigenous Horror, have you read Bad Cree by Jessica Johns? It is about a young Cree woman forced to return home to confront her past after she begins having dreams that bleed into reality. Sorry if you already covered it.
I think there's a lot of stuff in here that I would like. I'm open to different kinds of horror. I grew up with Fearstreat, Goosbumps, Anthony Horrowitz and Stephen King. Based on your feedback on these novels I think my taste would be somewhat similar. Subscribed and follow you on Instagram now to be able to further keep track of your recommendations. Thank you for this video!
Not a supernatural thriller, but have you read Winter Counts by David Heska Wanbli Weiden. I think you might like it if you are in the mood for a Native American setting mystery.
currently reading Lilith by Eric Rickstad after her son is severely injured in a shooting his enraged mother takes matters in her own hands and extracts some rough justice from gun makers and the pols who allow them to get away with anything including murder ⚛😀
I just read A Killer Harvest, and it was quite good. I DNF;d a Tami Hoag once. It was cheap and lazy. I turned to the end to see who done it, and it was of course some rich conservative woman. In California. As if.
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your assessment of The Girl With All the Gifts. I don't think it's entirely in the post-apoc/zombie genre, IMHO this is a book that explores so much more than other zombie stories. Without giving anything away to anyone who hasn't read it yet - I'll just say that the hybrid situation adds dimensions that other stories don't even try to explore. Also, TGWAtG has lines like "You can't save the world. There's nowhere to put it." MRCarey's books have lines that haunt me years after I finish the book. Just my opinion, if you don't like it I'll give you a refund :) I noticed the Peter Watts books aren't visible on your shelf anymore :/
I always appreciate other opinions. No refund necessary. (Lol) It's hard book to describe without giving away too much so sometimes I default to oversimplified descriptions. And no worry, I didn't break up with Peter Watts. I am working on a video project so they were on my nightstand

Aw your sweet. I don't have the production value to warrant a giant subscriber base. But I enjoy what I do... thanks
if you want thrillers, pretty much anything by s.a. cosby! razorblade tears and blacktop wasteland are amazing
Just picked up blacktop wasteland.
I just completely love all of your reviews. I have bought at least 20 books strictly from your reviews. ❤️🥰
Yay
Just got deeper than the dead from my library. Can’t wait to read it! 📚
I hope you enjoy
I’ve not tried Tami Hoag, but that one sounds interesting!

It definitely seemed like it was written as a love letter to the Bard

I have loaded the Hoag book onto my Kindle. I enjoy mysteries that are set in a particular time and place.
I hope you enjoy it
I agree with you on execution on BYT. I am currently reading The Quiet Tenant, curious about your thoughts.
LOVED that! 5 stars.
I enjoyed that Quiet Tenant. Not greatest thriller but I am easy to please with kidnappings
I really liked the movie version of The Girl With All the Gifts

Well, these all look great. I think I’ll be headed to Barnes & Noble’s. Lol

Like this compilation. Also, Bright Young Things was very successful for me. I’m sorry it didn’t make the grade for you
I'm glad it worked better for you
Great video!
Books and a beautiful woman!!
Great video
I'm new to reading horror and fiction in general. I had no idea that there were horror novel series 🤯

Oh yes I loved that thriller

That sounds awful.
