This is not a full bike review, just some thoughts and first impressions.

Your video came while I was browsing ... I also have 2021 Z900 ... Now the problem of breath capturing by Mic which you are facing , I can suggest put the laviler mic not infront of mouth but behind the mouth and laviler mic facing backwards ... Trust me it works for most of the motovloggers in India .... 👍👍.... Ride Hard Ride Safe ✌️🔥
Thanks for watching. I never had the mic right in front, it was always on the side, even inside the cheek pad. I think what happens is, when it's quiet GoPro it's truing to amply the sound because it's on auto, you can't really adjust the mic gain/levels. But of course, the more noise there is outside the levels will automatically go down, which means it will pick up less of the breathing sounds. But thanks for the tip. Ride safe!
I just bought a 2021. I nicknamed mine OMG. Every time I squeeze the throttle I would say oh my ####!!! I really, really, love it!
I am an old kawasaki fan - the first new street bike I ever bought was a KZ 750 1984 ( I was about 27 then ) . It was a light metal flake blue one with a dark blue pinstripe. I searched for hours and only found one or two of that color . 20 years ago I got a used 1984 KZ 550 LTD . Then in 2019 I got a red Z900 ( only has ABS ) . I liked it so much that I then got a blue 2020 . I have 1500 miles on it and about 6500 miles on the red one .
I love them both - I am also 6 1 and about 200 lbs .
I don't do tricks or anything but on the red 2019 bike - after the 600 mile break in, I always accelerated hard . Even so, I got 5000 on the rear tire before replacement . I almost never use the rear brake ...
The fastest I have been is 145 MPH on both bikes . What about you ?
I used to have a 1984 gpz750 turbo. I used to work on police Kawasakis along with a variety of other bikes and I was amazed on how durable the motors were designed. I'm trying to decide in getting a z900se or an xsr900se possibly late this year or next year.
@@thinkingimpaired5663
check the insurance for each of them - I don't know why, but full comprehensive coverage at geico is way less on the z900 than even smaller bikes . At other insurers with the same bike - the cost was over $ 1,000 for the Z900 and even for smaller bikes . But at geico it is only about $ 250 a year .
Great video.
I love my Z900 2017 abs. Driven 65.000 km so far, up north in Norway.
I went from the ER6N to Z900. Love both bikes.
But inlinefour, 948 ccm..and 124 hk, and holiday tomorrow. Lofoten next. 🇳🇴
Hey mate, nice vid, Where in the UK are you? I must admit I miss it a bit but bloody looks cold ( moved from there to Australia a few years back ) I got the Black and Red 2020 myself, Got a review up also just to try and pass on the help that these kind of vids gave me when looking for the bike. Got to love the bike, Pure pleasure to ride. Stay upright mate and all the best.
Awesome. I'm based in Peterborough. Yes it was a bit cold although summer it's here now, so it's a lot better. It's an amazing bike. I like the black and red 21 version more because the frame its also red. Ride safe. Thanks for watching 🙂👍
@@TheBikeFather You too mate, Mines the 2020 model so not got the Red frame, thats the 2021 here but agreed it looks great with it. take care mate.
Z900 is an awesome bike! I bought one Z900RS. A bit less power/torque, but the setting is to deliver power earlier too with an amazing retro look. Regards from Brazil! I was looking for the Honda CB650R, but the price didn't worth in comparison with the Z900, it's a bit more and a way better bike. In Brazil, we have much less models than you folk from UK and Europe in general.
Awesome. I guess they are similar in many ways the z900 and the RS, even the z900 is actually set to have plenty of power at low RPMs. Good to know that my videos are being seen on the other side of the world. lol . Ride safe!
Brill first vid, well done :-)
Hahaha, my guilty pleasure was Sons of Anarchy, perfectly cheesy with bikes and "outlaws" :D
I'm a new convert to top boxes and panniers, so handy during lockdown to get a cheeky ride in to do the weekly shop :-)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks.
have the red/black 2021 z900 ridden alot of diff bikes but this one takes the cake. awesome bike!
I was looking into the black/red version when I initially got this one, however, I didn't like that with the 2020 model, the frame it's black, whilst with the 2021 model they made it red, which looks a lot nice.
@@TheBikeFather yea for sure, everyone always compliments the red color on the bike. looks amazing in the sun!
Its really good quali bro and youre personality is very calm thats good
Thank you. Thanks for watching!
I love my 2019 Z900.
Super. Fast, fluid, sexy as hell. I love the throttle. Who needs traction control and rider modes with that throttle?
I love my tech. lol :) the more the better.
Hi mate, bought a 2020 today ... Test rode it and loved it. managed to save £900 buying a new 2020 in green. ... There's a video by the Aussie man, he fits a full system which disposes of the cat, sounds awesome.
That's great. Welcome to the club. How are you enjoying your bike so far?
@@TheBikeFather hi mate, I haven't picked it up yet, got to wait until next week. I will let you know how I get on
Why nit 2021
@@digital4928 Probably the price. As far as I know, 20 and 21 are pretty much the same, just new colour schemes. However, of course, 21 would be more expensive.
@@digital4928 the 2021 models retail at £9200 and aren't available in the green colour scheme. The 2020s are £8300 currently.
Aside from driving on the wrong side of the road, I noticed you have better gas pumps than we do in Canada. All the grades 89, 91, 93 come out of the same nozzle here, so you're undoubtedly getting some 89 grade when you're putting in 93 octane. I like how they're all on different nozzles.
😂 I don't know what you're talking about but this is the right side of the road.
@@TheBikeFather You have multiple gas pumps for each different fuel grade. Here there's only 1 pump for 3 fuel grades, you just hit a button to select which one you want.
@@NooDLES411911 Nice. We are not that advanced yet.. Lol.
Hi Again Alex. I test rode a Z900 and a Ninja 650. The Ninja was blah and the Z900 amazing. So much smooth power! Loved it.
On both I had a couple of missed gear up-changes. Mostly into third and fourth. I worked out that the position of the gear shifter was different from what I am used to, and the lever has to drop back to the bottom of its range to pick up the next gear. If I accidentally left my foot under it there was some play and it would not upshift. I needed to consciously drop my foot for the next change. I rode a GSX S750 and Street Triple and both had crisper gear boxes with less movement in the lever and I could not really miss a gear. The triumph had an outstanding box. Both second hand vs brand new. Similar for my Honda. Any comment from you or followers? Is this a Kawi gear box thing? New bike? Bad adjustment?
Honestly I haven't noticed that and I haven't had any issues. It could as you said, that the position might be a bit different from other bikes, sometimes depends on the foot pegs how high or low are, which changes the pivoting angle of your foot/angle, so might feel different, I don't know to be honest.
My previous bike was a honda, but that was ages ago, so I don't have anything recent that I could compare it to.
I love this bike. But only 1 thing i dont like. The swing arm. But still love it
Funny when you wondered about leaving bikes outside in the usa -
It has been MANY years since any petrol station in usa has allowed pump before pay .
Around this country, you can't trust the general public to be honest about 5 dollars .
nice video bro, im struggling between the z900 and the mt09 2018-2020 model (not the new one)
Thanks. I've never tried the mt09 , but from what I heard the z900 is a better all rounder bike.
I'm the same. Was on 2021 model yesterday in bike shop but no chance of carrying passenger. Mt09 I can. Prefer the looks of Z900 but Mt more practical for me. So what did you go for? I too don't like the look of the new MT09.
Nice looking bike 👍
I wasn't sure if you could mount the Quadlock Vibration Dampener to the Wireless Charging Head (I thought maybe it was one or the other). That is good to know.
Thanks. Yes you can... you should... have both... It's very convenient this quadlock.
scorpion is love, i previously used a scorpion serket carbon
I love it. Sounds amazing the full scorpion system.
Sons of Anarchy...loved that show
Hey nice vid, is there a EC / ECE (street legal) approved full system exhaust for the Z900 ?
Honestly, I don't know, sorry. Currently I don't have a full system yet. Just a Scorpion slip-on.
Just a tip dude it’s illegal to ride/drive with your high beam on all the time in the uk.
Should only be used when there is no car in front of you
Thanks.
Ty for sharing your feelings great job
thanks
What are you pushing with your left thumb?
probably I'm trying to cancel the blinkers 😂
You have to get that looked because you were constantly doing it. Sounds like maybe a wiring issue.
@@1069JKT oh no, there's nothing wrong with the wiring, it's just me not remembering whether I've cancelled it or not. bad habit.. lol
How is the wind with that bike? Should I consider buying a bigger windshield?
Well... it's a naked bike at the end of the day = no wind protection. It depends where you ride I guess, if you do a lot of motorways/highways journey, you'll definitely need something. I went for the taller Kawasaki screen. It helps a bit.
@@TheBikeFather Luckily not many highways in my country
Nice vid. I'm also looking at the 2020 Z900 to replace my ageing CBR600FX
Awesome. Thanks for watching. I was actually looking at the CB650R , but in the end I went with the Z900.
@@TheBikeFather Cool. I love my Honda but not the aesthetics of the CB650R nor the Yamaha MT's.
I'm coming off a CBR500R. This must be a lot more powerful. Better in winding roads?
CBR500R is what I had. Yes, this is a LOT more powerful. It's great for twisties.
You wont believe it...
Nice I Have as well 2018 So Realy Nice to drive
Thanks. Yes, its a great bike. 👍 ride safe
So brother we want more video on this bike plsss
Sure. Thanks
I bought zr900f the other day brandnew 2021 9300 and put a akraprovic slip on on 800 pound it was
Awesome!
Hi mate, what screen did you choose?
The Kawasaki taller screen. I found it the best looking out of all of them. The only other one I liked was the Givi.
Has anyone put a screen on a Z? I road a GSX S750 yesterday and didn't like the way the wind lifted my helmet up and pushed it into my face when I pushed on (120-130km). On the CBR I tuck a bit and am comfortable at quicker speeds. Did the review bike have a small screen?
Bro the Z900 doesnt need it. It has a biiit of a micro cowl and it directs wind nicely.
Check out my other video on the windscreen ua-cam.com/video/LlWgG25p7Mw/v-deo.html
I've been riding a Z400 for a year now and want to trade in for a Z900 do you think this is too much of a jump?
I jumped from a 500 to this, and it's fine to be honest. However, it all depends on how you ride, as this is a beast, so you need to take your time to learn the bike, and not be stupid.. lol.
@@TheBikeFather i think my only concern is it being too much bike for the streets and if all that power is really necessary,.. im in this position where i dont want the Z650 because it would be a pointless upgrade but i think the Z900 might be too much bike but i guess it all depends on how you ride it. i wish there was a Z750 somewhere in the middle.
@@dizydank Those were exactly my thoughts initially. I didn't want a 600cc bike, as the jump from 500 to 600 it's quite small. And I also didn't want a 1000cc bike. so I was looking for something in the middle, 700-800.
A few years ago, a friend of mine had a z800, so that's how I started looking into this, but they don't it anymore and replaced it with the z900.
And because I had a parallel twin already before, I wanted to try a different engine, therefore, I've excluded some bikes like MT-07, z650, etc..
So after looking around whats available, I decided to go with the z900.
It really depends how and where you ride. If you only ride in the city, you don't need such a big bike, I would probably go with something smaller.
However, wherever you look, you'll see that z900 is a good all-rounder.
@@dizydank it's fine on the streets I commute on it 50 min ride one way mostly all back roads and it's great. The gearing on the naked bikes are more torque then high end speed buy also have good top end speed as well more then you will ever need.
Dont be a complete dick with the beautifully linear throttle, dial yourself in and youll be fine. First 3-4 months i barely went past about 6000rpm (came from a cruiser).
Its a stunning motorcycle.
👍🏿🇭🇲👍🏿
Wow😍
Thanks for watching
Bro? Can i ask the price of z900 and z800 for US dollar? Thanks bro👍💯
awesome bike
BMW F900R is another great value for money bike!
Agree. I've actually looked into this as well. I liked the style, TFT screen, the price was very good as well, however, it's a parallel twin from what I know, and I wanted to go for an inline-four just to satisfy my desire of owning one. But it's definitely a great option.
Hi I'm 6'6 and I am looking at this bike, do you think it will fit me?
The foot pegs are a little high, so you might be cramped, sit on one and see. KTM 890 is higher. There's a lot of dual sports that are built for taller people.
I'm 6'4 and it fits perfectly.. you have to test one 👍
SAMCRO ✊🏾
🤘
What cc is it?

Bro come to India... I wanna hve a ride on it 🥺
Never been there but I heard its a beautiful country.
@@TheBikeFather yup, plz come here...🥺
Those roads look terrible! Narrow, dirty, slippery, like some village backroads. Don't you guys have highways or something?! LOL! :D
highways? what's that? lol.. 😂 I prefer smaller country roads, rather than riding on motorways/highways.
Because you couldn’t get a Street Triple???
No thanks. I dont like the looks of the street triple. I find those headlights looking weird. I've heard its a good bike though.
@@TheBikeFather Makes sense. A lot of people feel that way about the headlights. I happen to love it. Guess that’s why they make so many awesome bikes these days. I would love to have a Z900 great choice. Keep up the great content. You live anywhere near TMF or Chopsie?
@@charlesm.8807 what do you ride, the street triple? I live in Peterborough
@@TheBikeFather Yes, I have a 2019 Street Triple 765. I live in Clearwater Florida. Wished I lived in the UK. Probably why I have always liked the Triumph brand.
btw. check out my latest video, I've managed to ride a Street Triple the other day, so I've done a quick comparison with the z900: ua-cam.com/video/GfROw6esYtc/v-deo.html
Someone please tell me what is he doing with his left thumb every 3 seconds please
The road system there just seems complicated 😊
Lol 😂 why?
@@TheBikeFather too many forks on the road, no middle lines too, especially driving on the left, lol
What about side bags for shopping , besides that's a very fast bike for england streets look like a walkways pathways 🤣
I haven't really considered the side bags as I was trying to keep the bike as narrow as possible. I guess some people do prefer side bags instead of top boxes.
@@TheBikeFather l feel you , I'm the same way. Even though my state doesn't allow so called lane splitting l like to squeeze. Gonna install the back box in US got limited choises and ultra expensive everything is boring ass HD sucks
@@oswiecaczciemnoty3612 I've installed a Givi box on mine. It doesn't look too bad, of course, the bike looks much nicer without it, but hey, the good thing you only need to put the box there when you need it, when you don't you can take it off.
@@oswiecaczciemnoty3612 This is how it looks with the box. share.getcloudapp.com/NQuwJZd0
@@TheBikeFather that's what I'm shooting for., In canada and US it's a different brand though, thanks and got to mention is expensive like HD motorcycles
Yeah 125 horse power
It's a great bike. Plenty of power
Do I need this bike brother, I do not have any money, please
Sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking?
You don't need it if you can't afford it.
@@TheBikeFather ok brother ❤️
The cb650 is a four cylinder
yes I know. Did I say it's not? If I remember correctly, the reason I didnt go for the cb650, its because the jump from 500 that I had before to 650 didnt feel that big in my eyes, so that's why I went for the z900 instead. However, I have considred the cb650 because it was a four cylinder.
I’m contemplating between MT-09 vs Z900 vs CBR650R, here in Malaysia, the price is not that different between these three
They are all great bikes, I guess it depends what you prefer more a naked bike or sports one. If you go naked, I think the Z900 is a better all rounder.
You want E5 petrol for a kickoff.
Dont put that new E10 crap in.
+ get some mirror extenders from Ebay.
They are a must for the newer Z1000
Lol I’m in my 50’s riding
stop breath in the mic!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good vidieo but cant watch it because of this noice man
600 miles in four months? LOLWUT?
well. winter + lockdown. .now that Spring is here I've done pretty much 600 miles in 1 week. lol.
