Why did you change the value of resistor? What is the mod suppose to achieve? Would same value resistor work with Elac B6 or is this specific to B5 only? Thank you.
The tuning of the original Debut was kinda bottom heavy. The B5 has a 5.25" woofer and a 27 Ohm sand caste resistor in the tweeter circuit. The B6 has a 6" woofer and a 22 Ohm sand caste resistor in the tweeter circuit. To bring the level from 2.5 Khz (tweeter) 2 dB up and improve "resolution" I used a thin film 22 Ohm film resistor. Then used 5" felt around the tweeter to prevent baffle diffraction and enforcement (tweeter now more point source, without the whole baffle area) As I use them with speaker grills I also treated the edges of the grill with felt to prevent diffraction. Result is a very precise soundstage and imaging, together with more clear highs. You have to know 22 Ohm and 27 Ohm are industry standards. A 25-ish Ohm would be perfect if you don't use the speaker grill. But hard to get. However I must use the grill else our cat destroys the drivers :) . Edit: for a B6 use a 20 Ohm thin film instead of de existing 22 Ohm.
Hi. I saw that the site was restored. I would like to know if you still have an old version of the afd reg file? The one that is now on the site is different from the one that was. Even in the game it feels. Cool sound!
Great sound great speaker👍👌

@@tweakradje So the resistor swap would make the speaker brighter correct?
@@sebsefyu yes it does
