Rauh Welt Porsche 911: The Untold Story of Scotto's Dream Car

- Coming up as a hardcore Volkswagen kid, Brian Scotto's dream car was a natural evolution of German car head: a Porsche 911 turbo. So instead of buying something sensible like a new STI or Evo of the era, Scotto picked up this cherry 1991 Porsche 964 turbo. And when it came to launching the Hoonigan brand, he linked up with the legendary Akira Nakai of Rauh-Welt Begriff fame (from a connection at 0-60 magazine) to turn his Andial tuned, but otherwise stock 911 into the widebody, exhaust popping beauty it is today. From picking up a cover story on Euro Tuner magazine, to being immortalized in Forza Horizon in the Hoonigan Car Pack, this might just be our favorite Hoonigan car. And we're not just saying that because Scotto is probably reading this. Enjoy, the untold story of Scotto's Dream Car.

RWB Porsches are my favorite, I love the stance and attitude. This is by far the best car in the Hoonigan garage.

I have never seen anything cooler than a RWB. I saw one at a Porsche meet we went to with my uncle and that's the car that stood out to me and is the part I remember the best about that day.

This video is so damn awesome! I'm down to listen to Scotto attempt to answer a question within 30 minutes. Didn't know much about the origins of Hoonigan but it only made me appreciate the hustle more. No better sight than seeing owners show audiences what they see in their cars/builds.

I genuinely love this video, I remember when I first saw the RWB burnout video... and seeing tons of Hoonigan stuff around 2011 and wondering why there wasn’t tons of coverage being a skateboarder, following car culture it seemed to be everywhere. Seriously!? Love it!! The other night I was watching a Hoonigan extra the other day, where he was backing the car up to the dock. I was wondering then, what the story was with Scotto's Porsche. I've sat and binge watched videos of the RWB builds, and I was wondering if there happened to be a video or footage on his car. The only thing that ever really stood out that I ever remember him talking about was about how they swapped the roof for head clearance. It's really awesome to see the backstory and hear about some of the details that went into this build. Beautiful, beautiful machine. Love it!

That is absolutely my dream car. Just turned 50 and have wanted one since the days of Miami Vice. Someday when the kids are all grown up I'm taking my 401k and buying one. The RWB is just a beautiful look, it makes my private bits tingle to be honest.
I like that it has no Headliner, It gives the interior a Aggressive, Rustic, Patina Type of Character

I love this car. I’m not a huge fan of white typically, but the satin/perl combo is striking and it makes the wheels pop. It’s very cool that this was used as a springboard for both RWB USA and the Hoonigan brand. Very cool context!

Thanks for the video, I owned a 1979 930 Porsche with the 4 speed. You would run out of gears way to fast. Red lined it at 360 KPH. I sold it the next week. It was the most out of control car I have ever driven. It cost me $15,000 Dollars. and I traded it for a 911SC Targa with low miles. I bought a new 944 which was a blast to drive. Then I bought a Red 911sc for $15,000 and a 928 for $15,000 . Thanks for reminding me why I love Porsche's

When Me and some friends saw the sticker in Ken car on Gymkana 3, we couldn't find them anywhere, especially because we live in Brasil (So so so far away kkk), we made our own just to put on our cars only.
We embraced de Idea and love the concept that Hoonigan mean and was bringing.
Our car Fórum hosted some events but here in Brasil being a car enthusiast is rough, and when the years went by we closed up.
