Thank you for not having awful background music! I much prefer the sound of grating, sizzling or any other natural cooking sounds.

    I love this video because:
    1. No unnecessary 'hello viewers, blah blah blah' I hate the sugar-coated commentary.
    2. No unnecessary upbeat music. Because that doesn't happen in the kitchen
    3. To the point, clear-cut instructions.

I’m a young adult who still sucks at cooking. But this actually tasted really good! HEADS UP don’t put your frying pan on medium- high heat lol, I absolutely burned the sh1t out of the first 3, keeping it on low to medium temp is a good call, 2 mins and flipping constantly (total cook time 6-12 mins depending how thick you make them) keep an eye ! If you blast on high the onions don’t really cook and it tastes raw!! RAWWW - Gordon Ramsey, haha regardless amazing recipe and super tasty!!!! ALSO DONT USE 2 eggs! It’ll taste like an OMLET lol. 1 regular egg is fine

The egg is just to bind it together so one will do. Reminds me of a dish we have in Portugal called bolinhos de bacalhau. Similar thing of potato, though we boil and mash it, and egg with bacalhau parsley, and some other things fried.

Timecodes to split the recipe with your partner
    You: 0:11 - 1:10
    Your better half: 2:08 - 2:33
    You: 1:13 - 2:07
    Your better half: 2:35 - 3:04
Good breakfasts start with great food and even better company. Not just at the table, but in the kitchen, too. We’ve split this easy Hash Brown recipe into two parts. One for you and the other for your partner. Do half the work and get double the joy. Remember, things are easier to do when they’re made by two! Chew on that!*
Cooking time with better half: 10-15 mins
    Chef 1:
    Ingredients:
    3 medium-sized potatoes
    4 tbsp all-purpose flour
    4 tbsp Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
    1 large egg
    1 small onion (finely chopped)
    1 tsp garlic (grated )
    1 tbsp coriander (freshly chopped)
    ½ tsp salt
½ tsp red chilli powder (or paprika powder)
    ¼ tsp black pepper
    Procedure:
Chef 1, you’ll be in charge of the potatoes! First, shred the potatoes using a vegetable grater.
Rinse shredded potatoes with cold water until water is clear, then drain and squeeze dry. This helps remove excess starch and make potatoes more crispy.
Place them in a bowl and add in the flour, cheese, egg, onion, garlic, coriander, salt, red chilli powder, and black pepper powder.
Mix everything until combined and hand it over to Chef 2 for frying.
    Chef 2:
    Ingredients:
    4 tbsp vegetable oil
    Procedure:
Chef 2, you’ll be in charge of frying! In a large frying pan heat about 3-4 tbsp oil over medium heat.
When oil is sizzling hot, place potatoes into the pan in a ½ inch thick layer and shape them in a rectangle or whatever shape you like.
Cook each side for about 4 minutes or until golden brown. You can cook 2-3 in one batch or more if you're using a larger skillet.
Take them off the pan and place them on paper towels. Serve immediately with ketchup or any sauce of your choice. Enjoy!

This recipe is a nice mix of two famous European potato dishes. The original is a German dish, named Reibekuchen or Kartoffelpuffer.
Never say Rösti to Reibekuchen because Germans will eat you alive.
Rösti is from Switzerland but similar to Reibekuchen.
For those who like to know the difference 👇
The key difference lies in the size of the grated potatoes: Rösti are shredded whereas Kartoffelpuffer are finely grated. Also, with Rösti the potatoes are sometimes grated raw but more often are parboiled whole in their skins for a few minutes so that the center is still hard, then peeled and grated once they’ve cooled down. Because the potatoes are grated/shredded on the largest setting (in German, “grob geraspelt”) to get large, long strands, parboiling them first prevents the outside of the Rösti from burning before the potatoes are thoroughly cooked through. Grated onions are usually added and sometimes bacon and cheese, depending on the region. Rösti are also fried longer until they are light brown and crunchy.
