Soon they’ll learn to love Negan unless they loved Glenn that much in that case I can understand if you continue to hate Negan because Glenn was loved by everyone
I love Glenn.... He was my favorite character and even after killing my favorite character Began somehow grew to become my second favorite character in the show
I do see why few people blame Daryl for Glen's since Negan said he was gonna beat the holy hell out of ONE of you. Glen jumping out he let that slide "first one is free" then daryl punched Negan and that counted as another beating to someone
I think Daryl is to blame somewhat (even though Negan is truly the one to blame), but *SPOILERS!!!!!!* Daryl pays for it and he endlessly blames himself. For that I could never hate Daryl. He made a mistake, he paid for it, and he apologized to Maggie (she never blames him for it). End of story. Daryl's a hero in my eyes, mistakes and all.
@WillFanofMany I don't think there's anything wrong with where Maggie ended up, nor do I think Daryl's decision to take her side later on has any impact on who has died or left in the last season or so. Glenn died the same way in the comic fwiw. The actor wanted him to get his comic death and unfortunately the show runners used Daryl as the catalyst for it. If they had only went with one death in that scene it still would've been Glenn, not both him and Abe. It was all about shock value on the show. Daryl has always had a good heart and put his life at risk plenty of times alongside Rick and the others. I don't know how anyone could hate him (although I know a lot of the comic fans dislike him because he's not a comic character and is a fave of the tv show fans).
lollypop2414 that and Daryl always had Glenn’s back. In season 1 after Glenn got taken by the vatos. Daryl wanted to kill the gang member they captured in case Glenn was dead already then in season 3 Daryl was pissed off at Merle for handing Glenn and Maggie to the Governor to be tortured then in season 4. Daryl wanted to make sure Glenn and Sasha were still ok after the Walker attack in 4x5 after most of the sick ppl died and turned then in season 5 after Glenn punched Aiden. Nicholas rushed in to make it a two on one but Daryl tackled Nicholas and held him on the ground getting ready to kill him until Rick stopped him. Daryl always did care about Glenn and since he still feels responsible for Glenn’s death which he’s not he’s just trying to keep Maggie and their unborn child safe b/c Glenn can’t be there to do it.
So if Glenn had maintained his composure and not jumped out then Daryl's punch would have counted as the first one is free and Glenn would have survived? ;)
So, lol, This was the most horrific scene I've seen from TWD. I knew in my gut it was Abraham, but GLENN?!!!. I do remember thinking why was Neagan standing so close to Glen, then BOOM!!. I cried HARD. Like I lost a family member. You have to understand Glen has been there since DAY 1. He found Rick. So to see him go out like that broke my heart into pieces. I feel for Maggie because everyone she loved is now gone. But damn, I still cringed watching that. Did you guys think it would be 2 people gone?
I think that's why Glenn's death broke Rick so much...... Not only was Glenn the first person he meant after the apaclapse ....but he was a really close friend and was his second in command to thr group.....
Abraham was the bonus kill for the show only to give Negan more impact upon arrival, and to be more unpredictable but also to keep things as they were in the comic. That's one of the most iconic kills in tv/comic history, so it's only right that they keep everything as it was to begin with. Abraham didn't die how he did in the comics (that was Denice w/ the arrow), so he was bound to go eventually.
Had no clue. I thought it was going to be Abe to take the place of Glenn in the comics so I was already sad but grateful at least Glenn lived and then they took both of my favs out. the scene of Rick in 7x12 when he says "glenn saved me, right from the start, and I couldn't save him" KILT me.
Mooshey Glenn would have probably not gotten an interesting story if he lived. He probably would have agreed w/ Rick about being Negans bitch if it meant keeping the others alive
RJ Glenn had the same potential as all the other characters to continue his story. Fanfic writers do it. Presumably, thats exactly the the purpose of the overpaid “professionals” writers & producers. But I’m puzzled as to why you would respond to my comment w/that idea. I’m not gonna be cool w/Glenn dying b/c hypothetically he may have, key words: “at first”, submitted to Negan like Rick. He is one of my fav TWD characters & he was murdered in a horrible degrading way while his killer, who is truly unnecessary, gets to live.
I feel like negan pick abraham on purpose cause if you notice abraham was like the only one kinda volunteering to get hit he never cowered when the bat came to him he kinda embraced it

I think the difference between the deaths of everyone on each side is that when ricks group killed all of those saviors, they were just numbers, just people. But the think that is special about ricks group is that all of his people are his family. When they lose people, the don’t mourn the numbers/resources they’ve lost-the mourn the actually life and person that was killed. The 2 lives (Glenn and Abraham), I think do equal or are above the “value” of all of the savior men that died. That’s why the impact was so much great on the group and on the audience.
Don't stop watching I know S7 is decent and S8 is kinda boring like nothing really major happened in S8 except for one or two things but S9 is one of the best seasons for sure
@@blackfrieza1912 It is pretty boring the Negan/All Out War story was way too much dragged the showrunners of that time forgot why people loved the show in the first place and S8 was filled with so many unrealistic things and lack of character development it also has the most unnecessary death (no spoilers but you probably know who I am talking about) I am so glad they let Angela Kang take over the show in S9 and she did a great job with that season hopefully S10 will be as good as S9 if not better
@@vdknights. Okay first off you expect an all out war negan arc to end in 5 episodes? It's such a crazy episode. One thing so many people miss at that dinner table scene is when Morgan sits back, you can see Sasha is pregnant. Abraham poured the bisquik
I'll be back to watch your reactions in season 9.... because after this masterpiece of an episode there is only a handful of episodes that are alright sadly :(
I agree probably the most intense premiere I’ve ever seen, probably the best premiere ever created on tv by far. The way he bashed Abraham and Glenn, the dialogue throughout the whole episode was funny, sad, amazing etc all at the same time, then Andrew Lincoln with his superb acting. It’s unbeatable. I’ve tried finding a better premiere for years… still haven’t found one.
Nicholas Windfuhr I still do. That whole summer my friend wanted Abe to die and Glenn to live and I was the opposite and I called it being a double kill I was talking to my friend after the comic con trailer came out and I was like watch Gimple do something ballsy and have Negan kill both of them and my friend said that would be retarded but after Negan picked Abe. I was like fucking hell my friend was right and Abe’s gonna be the only Lucille victim but when Negan hit Glenn. I was like holy fuck how did I call it! Abe’s death pissed me off as for Glenn I was happy he got his iconic death. I then texted my friend b/c he missed the premiere and I told him to watch it and when I woke up the next morning. I saw a bunch of angry texts from him saying that I probably read spoilers about the double kill which I didn’t. He hated that I was right.
This was one of the biggest events in telivison history tens of millions tuned in to see what would happen I miss these days when the walking dead was the king of primetime telivison
Glenn got his comic book ending, if he had to go out least it was true to his story. Lots of people stopped watching at this point so dont listen to their opinions the people who stayed with the show got Season 9 one of the best seasons imo.cant wait till October!
Agreed. I get why people were/are upset over Glenn and Abraham's deaths, but it's still such a shame that so many people completely dropped the show and its characters after, especially since TWD has always been known for its gore and deaths from the beginning.
You know how people in life say I'm gonna kick your head off? Negan's like "I'm gonna beat the holy hell out of one of you" and he fully did.... I don't know what is but that's definitely living up to a threat
it's easy to be intimidating with a stupid baseball bat when the victims are unarmed and they have semi-automatic weapons pointed at each one of their heads. Negan is a pussy
Tbh I think season 9-11 were pretty good, but nothing will ever beat the first few seasons for me and it's such a shame that the show took such a big nose-dive in season 7-8.
Anyone who thinks this wasn’t Daryl’s fault is a moron fan boy. Everyone in the row was pissed and extremely hurt but restrained themselves to protect each other but he had to punch (not kill Negan) because his dumbass couldn’t hold it together? He wasn’t even that close to Abraham. Fuck him.
TheSuperNats ok. Let’s watch when Maggie debunks it in 7x14 and says it wasn’t Daryl’s fault look at my comment that I posted towards the top. I explain in depth why Daryl did it and shouldn’t be held accountable.
Don't feel bad for not continuing. I'm day 1, OCT 31st 2010 fan of TWD and I can say that from here on out for quite a while it's a slow downhill spiral in quality, with brief patches of excellency sprinkled in. I still love it, but, it does get rough for a while.
This episode was really really great but prepare yourselves because the rest of this season and season 8 are the worst of the show. Fortunately, Season 9 kind of saved the show from demise
Guarntee if Morgan were white Rob wouldn't be up on Morgan's nuts so much..rob is such a biased racist and a sexist. Michonne is one top 3 characters regardless of skin color so you'd think since Rob is so damn biased of skin color he'd pick Michonne as his favorite but he is also a sexist so I guess he puts Michonne on the back burner...morgan is a great character, one of top 10 best REGARDLESS of skin color..but he isn't a top 3 like Michonne is..but it's always skin and gender with Rob, can't stand him. I'm done with their BB reactions even though they only have 2 episodes left but Robs hood mentality, stupidity..i can't bare to watch their BB reactions anymore, he ruins it...the TWD reactions are much more watchable.
@@MellyMell07 Is it messed up that I preferred when Rob took a sabbatical? I started watching it when it was just the 4 guys & liked it then I felt like Rob ruins it then I felt bad when I found out why he was missing.
LOL. Rob is literally shown to be VERY pro female so no dude, he's not sexist at ALL. He simply roots for all black characters. He ADORES Michonne, constantly refers to her beauty and strength, thinks Sasha is "badder" than Rosita and is strong woman, loves Morgan, and even in other shows, have taken likings to even controversial female characters, and has stated he'd rather work with women in charge.
@@totesmegoatscrystal9688 Rob's certainly not a favorite of mine but even I know he uber loves Michonne. And Carol. And other women on the show. And Rick etc. Rob's very pro-black but that doesn't equal anti white and he very much defends and supports the female characters.
for all the ppl who still blame Daryl for Glenn’s death. It wasn’t Daryl’s fault. Glenn’s tantrum in the season 6 finale when Negan said he could kill Maggie right now to put her out of her pain and misery prompted Glenn to spring into action to save Maggie b/c it was the right thing to do in Glenn’s mind but Negan was thinking otherwise and it got them their first offense and Negan literally pointed to Glenn when he said first ones free but then no exceptions meaning Negan basically told them if one of you fucks up. Glenn is getting punished. I’m sure if Daryl hadn’t punched Negan then Rick would have probably tried something or gave Negan an I don’t give a fuck about you scowl which then would have prompted Negan to kill Glenn to wipe that smirk off ricks face. Plus Negan was tormenting Rosita and she and Daryl both wanted Dwight dead for what he did to Denise b/c of his loyalty to Negan who they also wanted dead so Rosita lost one more person she was close 2 and Daryl also felt that pain so when Negan was tormenting Rosita w/ Lucille covered w/ Abe’s blood and brain matter. Daryl did what any gentle man would do and punched Negan b/c he was volunteering to be the next victim but Negan has a code he’s not racist and he doesn’t kill wounded ppl or women that’s why after Dwight shot Daryl in 6x15 he told Daryl that he’d be ok meaning that oh don’t worry Negans not gonna kill you when he meets you soon. I know it’s already dark enough but I wish there was a deleted ending scene of Maggie and Sasha being dropped off at Hilltop along w/ Abe and Glenn’s head bashed in corpses then it cuts to Rick and the others returning to Alexandria and Ricks calls a heart breaking meeting in the church and tells Gabriel and the other Alexandrians that Negan and his men ambushed them as they were trying to get Maggie to Hilltop and then he says she’s there now w/ Sasha but Daryl was taken by Negan and Abe and Glenn are dead then the episode ends on a more grim note.
Late, but agreed. It's so sad and frustrating to see so many people blaming and hating Daryl and wishing for him to die instead (at least back then) and I really hate that they didn't just do it like in the comics and chose to involve Daryl in Glenn's death instead and risked their most popular character like that and his character really doesn't deserve that. Luckily though, the hate seemed to be short lived and he's still very much one of the mos popular and beloved characters in the series, if not the most still.
I still cry every single time. RIP Abe and Glenn! There's no getting over this episode. Great reaction! Ignore what people are saying about S7 and S8, and know that no matter how you end up feeling about those two seasons (which imo have several great episodes amongst some not-so-great), S9 is excellent all around!
Robb can be controversial sometimes, but he pointed out one of my favorite things about this show; it has such a realistic portrayal of how humans will be in a world like that.
Abraham was the bonus kill for the show only to give Negan more impact upon arrival, and to be more unpredictable but also to keep things as they were in the comic. @@swuavewrap8642 Yeah, Daryl doesn't exist in the comics and wasn't even supposed to exist in the show either as Norman Reedus had originally auditioned to play Merle, which Michael Rooker got instead, but he was so great that they made Daryl and added him to the script just for him and even then he was supposed to die in season 1 and 2 and basically was only a younger Merle, but ironically he ended up becoming the most popular character in the series, a main character and practically the face of the show lmao
Rob shut up about Morgan, what makes you think he can stop him if none of the rest of the mains couldn’t? They’re trapped right now, just because he’s black doesn’t mean he can save them, my god.
Had they ended the season showing the death of abraham and leaving the audience to sit with that, to start the next season off picking right up before daryl punched him..to hit the audience with losing Glenn like that, would have focused on and given his death a lot more importance. Each death respectively..and could have avoided a fan backlash. And they should have had Hershel sitting at the table too, and having Glenn pass his son to his grandfather
My personal thought is from the time Glenn got up he was gonna kill him. Either antagonize Rick or someone else into doing something so he can put the blame on them.
Yep, Negan was playing with them. He wanted to make a statement for they were bold. No one was successful at trying to go against Negan.... so he put them on notice and delivered.

I feel like negan pick abraham on purpose cause if you notice abraham was like the only one kinda volunteering to get hit he never cowered when the bat came to him he kinda embraced it
He did pick Abraham on purpose and Glenn as collateral, I remember him saying that to Rick in the show.
told negan to suck them nuts
Don’t lose hope after this episode, Season 9 is one of the best seasons of the show if you can make it there
OneStop MediaShop season 8 wasn’t THAT awful although it could’ve been done better

@@johnjoseph6874 that is true, but then again i was geetting extrmemely bored of this one after season 3, while my hype for GoT just got better. Also that last 15 min was more shocking then this whole ep, cause I cared for robb way more. Its jsut a matter of opinion at the end of the day
@@aaravshah4432 yeah it is just opinions. I remember how jaw dropped I was when the end credits rolled after that episode. Tbh I was more shocked at how they killed Cateyln rather than Robb
The way Maggie got up and immediately went over to Glenn and the devastation and heartbreaking and many more emotions on her face and how she felt then got down to touch him and lay on him will forever be heartbreaking and years later she still struggling to live without Glenn Negan really broke her taking Glenn away from her he was entire world n she even said
Negan is an amazing villain
Vikas yadav, how in the hell was season 8 boring when there's all out war no spoilers
Vikas Yadav one of MY favorite characters died on s8 and you say it’s boring🥺😢😩 it’s heartbreaking
@@vdknights. Okay first off you expect an all out war negan arc to end in 5 episodes? Because if that's the case then that will be an insult no proper conclusion like they had in the finale also you can't really say that the show runners forgot anything about why people loved this show because they did everything they can do to make the threat of the walkers and humans even more dangerous you can't watch the walking dead and not expect alot of character death because that would defeat the purpose of the walking dead. Also lack of character development? Dude season 7 and 8 had plenty of character development so what are you talking about
@@briannahooten9859. And that's what the walking dead is supposed to do lol you can't expect everyone to be all happy and alive then that would defeat the purpose of the show.

Me too that night omg I remember it man the most heartless thing ever
Rest in peace to two of my favourite characters...😭😭😭
It's such a crazy episode. One thing so many people miss at that dinner table scene is when Morgan sits back, you can see Sasha is pregnant. Abraham poured the bisquik

That was probably the best season premiere ive ever seen. I've never seen a premiere set the tone for the season like this one did
Yea, but game of thrones season 4 do 2 was a better start to the season imo
I agree probably the most intense premiere I’ve ever seen, probably the best premiere ever created on tv by far. The way he bashed Abraham and Glenn, the dialogue throughout the whole episode was funny, sad, amazing etc all at the same time, then Andrew Lincoln with his superb acting. It’s unbeatable. I’ve tried finding a better premiere for years… still haven’t found one.
why am i excited to see your guys reaction to this..... 😂 btw when i first saw this episode i cried because of glenn 😭😭😭
jimin got no jams same. Just watched their pike reaction so hadta’ come back and watch this one again.
The scientist in season 1 said this infamous quote after he let the group out the facility place before it blew up for the title of season 7 ep 1
i think everyone knows that
Had to watch the Glenn reaction at .25 speed.. fucking classic
i loved this episode when it first aired
I consider this episode to be the best in the entire show
@@kowxley1793 That's because it is.

Negan's backstory isn't adapted into TV (at least not yet), but there's a comic series called Here's Negan to show what happened to him.

@@Kalakeiko Excactly very well said is a show about zombies people are gonna die.
Now that you've seen this episode you should watch Dave Chappelle's parody on SNL. 🤣

@@Adam-xg1ch Exactly. He is a bully coward, nothing more except maybe sadistic and psychotic.
He takes advantage of people's fear, negan is a coward. He would do the same to all of us who would entertain that psycho?
Well guys, you're about to enter the biggest lull in TV history. R. I. P the Walking dead.
Tbh I think season 9-11 were pretty good, but nothing will ever beat the first few seasons for me and it's such a shame that the show took such a big nose-dive in season 7-8.
Daryl is the one to blame for Glenn's death. Negan was already done but Daryl was a loose cannon. JDM even said so on the after show.
Yeah from here Daryls character continues to make mistakes and cause trouble... Which is why I don't like him anymore
Fuck him.
The least Daryl could've done was kill Negan, not just punch him. Sheesh.
The Legacy of Gaming keep in mind he was just shot by Dwight so he was in pain
TheSuperNats ok. Let’s watch when Maggie debunks it in 7x14 and says it wasn’t Daryl’s fault look at my comment that I posted towards the top. I explain in depth why Daryl did it and shouldn’t be held accountable.
When I saw this episode, it was the most stressed I've ever been watching a TV show. I questioned why I put myself through this torture lol.
12:07 he used the N word there..
It's not my fault guys, I told Rick we don't have to look for people no more but he didn't listened.
Smh daryl no offense but i hated u for a hot minute after this🤦🏽♂️

The day has finally come!!! Been waiting on this since y’all started The Walking dead 😁🔥🔥
Rob is obsessed with Morgan, I wonder why
I root for everybody black too but come ON, man shut UP
Guarntee if Morgan were white Rob wouldn't be up on Morgan's nuts so much..rob is such a biased racist and a sexist.
I love the Joker comparison, I didn't realize how similar they were. The actor is Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Rob actually had really good takes on this one
This will always be my favorite rt tv reaction

Negan Alpha AF LMAOO
“He’s gonna die in the worst wag possible” 3:06 (subtle anti-foreshadowing 💀)
for all the ppl who still blame Daryl for Glenn’s death.
Rob, JDM is also in the movie The Watchmen as, Edward Blake / Comedian
Negan has convinced a large group of people that being slavers and following a serial killer is The Way...

Robb can be controversial sometimes, but he pointed out one of my favorite things about this show; it has such a realistic portrayal of how humans will be in a world like that.

10:31 i like that whole scene from negan because darryl is not in the comics
Same when i read the comics i realized that he wasn't in the comic's and i was shocked
Rick seemed out of his mind, I couldn’t tell if he was scared or not or if he was just thinking whatever happens “I’ll kill negan”
Rob shut up about Morgan, what makes you think he can stop him if none of the rest of the mains couldn’t? They’re trapped right now, just because he’s black doesn’t mean he can save them, my god.

Worst day of my life!!! Worst episode ever!!! I cried so hard!! #1 all time favorite character and he's gone!!!
You mean BEST episode ever?
I been waiting for the reaction to this episode since y’all started watching this show. Great reaction, guys. 👍
Had they ended the season showing the death of abraham and leaving the audience to sit with that, to start the next season off picking right up before daryl punched him..to hit the audience with losing Glenn like that, would have focused on and given his death a lot more importance. Each death respectively..and could have avoided a fan backlash.
And they should have had Hershel sitting at the table too, and having Glenn pass his son to his grandfather
yesss they should’ve added hershel:(
This is what I was thinking too. However, Herschel at the table makes no sense because the people there were all people that were recently alive.
I will say Glenn’s death is extremely accurate to the comics
My personal thought is from the time Glenn got up he was gonna kill him. Either antagonize Rick or someone else into doing something so he can put the blame on them.
Yep, Negan was playing with them. He wanted to make a statement for they were bold. No one was successful at trying to go against Negan.... so he put them on notice and delivered.
Negans backstory in the comics is great, and him and the saviors are supposed to offer protection in return for half of their stuff.
6:53 i've been waiting for this !!!!
The Joker / Negan comparison. Spot on. Negan’s genius is the mental warfare against Rick! He had to break Rick and Rick does not break easily.
Season 7 was slow but it is better when its binged
In the first season the man at the CDC told Rick. “The day will come when you won’t be.”
Even from Glenn’s point of view, 👁 did not see that coming.
I just have to say that this was an amazing performance from Andy and Jeffrey
I mean Andy like had to be upset the whole time and he did amazing at it
And with Jeffrey, he just came and he already killed 2 important characters, and he had to keep that damn smile on his face the whole time
Amazing episode for both of them
Amazing actors
