Dang man, 3:31 on your FIRST marathon!? Especially after your injury!! Also you saved Tejas with the electrolytes! I've only run one marathon, and while I was drinking gatorade from the aid stations (and carried my own) I guess it wasn't enough, my hamstrings cramped up at mile 20 and I had to run/walk every 500m for the last 10k. I didn't hit "the wall" because I still had energy left, but my muscles wouldn't have it. I didn't find out til years later, that's what happenes if you don't have enough salts.
Congratulations Shervin! I also ran London for the first time, so decided to watch your video see your your experience, and I see myself in your video at 9 mins 56 secs (I'm the guy on the left wearing the red cap, and blue vest). What a coincidence! It was a brilliant day, and I'm glad you got to experience the day 💯👍🏿
Dude you were in London and I had no flipping clue! I live right by the start line as well, would have cheered you on and caught up with you at the finish. So gutted, really love your content and would have been a great opportunity to meet you!
It was cool watching this , I knew you were going to be at the more manageble shakout with Floris and Kieran but 11:00 was way too late for me (I was going to watch a show in the westend that afternoon ) ,it looked like you enjoyed London . The Marathon was brilliant (though very crowded more then NY ), good vibe and great temps.(the post orginization was a little hectic especially with the local tube stations being closed ) Very well done!
What a great video! Well done in the race too! Great to see the build up and the post-race footage too and thanks for the little window into your family that was a nice touch 👍
Congrats on your time! I did my first marathon in Ventura a few days ago. Ended up with 3:30. Barely missed the cut off for sub 3:30. Next time though! 😎
Congrats! Thats very impressive for first marathon. I personally have been on the fence to do a marathon(currently enjoy half’s) maybe you convinced me 😅I really do enjoy all your videos!
I am so emotional for the all athletes out there, I am so dying to do cycling, running, etc, (I used to ride my roadbike 100+ km, but now cant like 60-80 km on flat ground, cant push or pull hard) but my knees are holding me back. something wrong with cartileges. May be too thin I guess. But still I think about positive side. at lease I have legs to walk around. respect to all athletes...!!
Ahhh brings back many happy memories of running London. Knowing how difficult it is to get a London place, intrigued to know how you and all your buddies got a place in same race?
@04:24 bro what is this sleep lol That whole week was in the toilet, but you showed up and performed all the same. Great work! Glad I subscribed and started running, too
Aaayeee, i am from Lucknow. And One Day i wish to run in London, Boston and Barkley. And HOLY MOLY 3:31 Man that is INSANE. Hope to catch you one day in one of these events.
How did you all get into the London marathon, I thought it was random and really hard to get entry? Just read this: 578,374 people enter the ballot for the 2024 TCS London Marathon, which is a world record.
Btw Shervin how did you fix the shin splints and ankle pain? I don't have a running lab around my area and recently have been dealing with a similar pain you mentioned in your prep series Would definitely preciate if you could give some details on how you managed your pain that I can implement Preciate it man
Well done, great effort, considering you were also filming it. I'm curious though, did you consider a wearing a waist strap contraption to hold your selfie stick and thus free up your hands?
@@ShervinShares when will “my first Ironman” episodes start filming. I gifted myself an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and still not convinced it can carry me through triathlons from a battery or functional standpoint. But my Garmin Fenix 5x is getting long in the tooth and the Epix is expensive
