Agreed, but, Apple doesn’t do anything without a 2nd motive. The crap generative stuff they’re doing now will train their models for the real features coming in 1-3 years.
I hope they try to find a way to make Apple Intelligence work for all devices getting iOS 18. I don't suppose it would be that bad to do the Private Cloud Compute capability for all requests if they lack the hardware capabilities. I rather it take 5 seconds longer than not have these features at all.

I admit, I prefer the Siri orb as it was before. Sometimes I need to look across the room at my iPad to see if she answered me, and I can tell that she heard me by the orb glowing. The minute flash of light around the edges of the screen may not be visible From all angles. Plus, I think the orb looks more futuristic.
The features are very useful but i am deeply concerned about the ability to use AI on the device. With increasingly abusive data gathering by corporate and government agencies, the indivisible will soon have lost all privacy. There is simply too much power and profit involved for us to trust anyone.
The writing features look good but I doubt it will be as good as Hyperwrite. Hopefully in time it does so we don't have to pay ridiculous subscription prices for these AI services
I like the writing feature if it is better than Grammarly - which sucks balls - but this Genemoji is nonsense - why would they do this? The whole point of an emoji is that I know what they mean, if some rando sends me a face with lemon slices for eyes wtf does that mean? Also if SIri does not improve AND they fix all the isszues with Home I am going Android!
