    I hello from Sydney Australia. I’m only a newby polymer clayer and at present overwhelmed with all the different techniques that can be applied to polymer clay. I didn’t know that washi tape could be baked on polymer clay. I have so many gorgeous washi tapes so that is definitely going to be my next practice. Thank you so much for your inspiring and bubbly personality, I’m hooked on you and will definitely be following to see what awesome designs you come up with. ❤🎉🎉 Cheers Vikki

      I just baked my polymer clay with the washi tape on it, I thought it would have stuck to the clay better. I can actually peel the washi tape off. Should I just cover it with resin now to adhere it in place.

      @@vikkimaree4564 You need to cover it with something. You could even cover it with Mod Podge if not resin (or something else).

    And the plain negative space could also be interesting _un-resined,_ I think - like matte - as a counterpoint to the resined washi-glitter half. 😬

    I love your earrings so much! I’m just starting polymer clay, so I’m wondering, when you did the glitter and resin line above the washi tape, did you have to do anything special to it before you put resin on the entire earring to keep your line from running? Thanks!! 😄

    • @OliviaHeyward
      @OliviaHeyward  Рік тому

      Yes I did. I let the glitter line set up first I actually did it with uv resin and then I went over it with a 2 part epoxy.

    1st time watching your channel. Would using glitter in clear varnish work to prevent the reson divets? These are beautiful earrings, you have a great imagination.

    Olivia, have you ever used air dry clay with this technique? Beautiful earrings.

      Hey Jeanne, I haven’t actually!! I’m sure it would work but probably will need to seal it with something for durability.

    I always had a hard time with the washi tape staying on the clay….maybe I need to put a line of liquid clay a long the edge.
    I will try again. Love your earrings, and fun petsonality

      @OliviaHeyward  Рік тому

      Yes that’s a good idea. It doesn’t really stick all the way but once I put the resin it’s fine! Thank you for watching!!!

    Hi - I'm a polymer clay addict. Wondering do you use any glue on the washi tape?

    • @OliviaHeyward
      @OliviaHeyward  2 роки тому

      I actually did not use any glue just put it right down. Although you would need to seal it with something like a resin or a varathane or something like that.
