Hi Dan . Another cracking review (I always look forwards to Your videos)I loved the extra Bonus footage at the end with the second set of Chrono readings( very interesting , as You say it just shows how a rifle settles in with a few rounds down the pipe . Are You going to do a Christmas Special ? , perhaps a reminder of some of the airguns You've already tested ,perhaps You could give them the "BDR" (Big Dan Rating) You know best PCP , best fixed barrel rifle tested , best break barrel tested , best under £500, best under £300 best under £200 or best for a junior /new shooter , or maybe bring a few toys! to show us you know spinners , target holders , slings , scope mounts etc. stuff for presents too shooters , Just a few ideas ! . One final thing , Have You got a website for Your shop ? I've been looking but been unable to find one . Thanks Dan keep up the excellent reviews.
Nice review as usual dan , reminds me of the old bsa's of my youth many years ago, as you said a tinkerers delight, a few hours spent cleaning and polishing the internals whoud make all the difference, keep up the good work 😁👍
Great too have you back Dan , super reviews ( id expect no less from your brilliant reviews previously ) damn good idea , chronographing out of the box THEN when run in a bit ... ( is that applicable too PCPs ? ) .. its,a sweet looking rifle for a budget price ... in my opinion a good sand down ... and a lovely rose wood stain would look excellent ... Looking forward to seeing your next review ....
Hi Mark, thanks ever so much mate and yeah we'll be doing a bit more chronographing from now on. I actually stole that idea from a previous viewer but I'm happy to claim it as my own haha. The Sportsman's stock is a really nicely figured bit of wood and like you've said yourself with a different stain on there it'd look brilliant. The rifle itself is built like a tank but some different finish on the stock would work wonders. Thanks Mark!
Pretty consistent after a few pellets through it, experience tells me it may still be sailing a little close to the edge with a few jsb's through there, I've found they roughly give me around 1 ft lb more muzzle energy than superdomes (through a couple of Springer's I've tried at least). Good review 👍
Milard brothers, made in Scotland. My boyhood gun was a G34 much more compact, no checkering but a monte carlo butt. Spending ny summers on a farm I got to shoot it a lot and it became second nature shooting it. I'm trying to remember what the trigger was like, no Rekord thats for sure. Nice to see the name Milbro on air guns again.
Hi Dan! Thank you for this again very entertaining review! I always look forward to your next one! 👍😎 If I'm not totally wrong it looks to me like this Milbro shares the system, cocking arm and safety with the hatsans. Also the kick... 😉 But unfortunately the quattro trigger didn't make it to the Milbro. 😖 Keep up the good work and enjoy your next shooting sessions for us! 👍😉 Best wishes Martin
Hi Martin! Thanks ever so much mate. Well the Milbro's are made by Snowpeak airguns so they've got access to some pretty damn good triggers... but the Sportsman's trigger is the thing of Satan. It's a real shame too as the actual build quality on the rifle is top drawer and the accuracy it can achieve is brilliant. With fettling it could be a seriously good break barrel. Thanks Martin and all the best mate.
Hey mate. The trigger is a bit agricultural isn't it? But you can get used to it and as you've said when it comes to power and shot placement you can easily dispatch all critters with it. I love the metalwork on the Sportsman too, it's a real chunky gun.
Dan, your back ! Hello mate, great budget Springer review, good job as always. Just a quick reminder, could you review the co2 powered CP2 by smk, and the Gamo GX40 and Phox ? Would be interested in a comparison test maybe to see which Gamo is better, especially as I believe the GX40 has a longer barrel., oh and tests all in .177 cal plz. Cheers .
Hi Brian, Thanks ever so much for the kind comments mate. The CP2 will be do-able in the future hopefully mate but with us not currently stocking the Phox or the GX40 that one may take a bit more time. I'll do what I can.
Great review Dan . Yes its seems to bed down nice . Great value again , this gun is a gun you would get a lot of use out of it ,perfect for hunters. old skool pie & pint gun love it . LUSH !
Hahaha Hi Lawson! You're bang on with that description there mate it's very much a back to basics break barrel that can take all of the abuse you can throw at it. I might get you to film the reviews from now on mate because in one paragraph you've described it better than I have in a whole video. You can even do an Essex accent as revenge haha. Thanks mate!
Hi. Do you have a review of the Remington Tyrant Tactical? I've watched a few of your reviews (excellent by the way) but it's been very difficult to buy cheaper end air rifles due to lockdown. Sold out everywhere. Bought Remington Tyrant .177 but they brought the Tyrant Tactical. 22. 5 hour drive to Co Durham from Norfolk so I said I would just keep the one brought. First gun I've bought. Do you have a Review of this .22 ?
Hi Neil. We haven't done a review of a Tyrant Tactical yet however we'll be sure to get it added to the list. The Tyrant tactical is essentially the standard Tyrant/Pest Controller action in a stock with an adjustable cheekpiece. They're a very nifty rifle and the cheekpiece itself is also a type of rubber and not plastic which is also very nice. Thanks Neil and we'll see if we can get it done.
Hi, I think your reviews are great they have helped me make informed a few purchases. What did you mean when you said, "they were pretty scary times" at minute 10.43? I just wondered thanks 👍👍
Hi Steve, haha that's me having flashbacks of hunting in an enclosed space with an air rifle that has a very difficult safety to re-engage. We used to hunt in a Defender where we were packed like sardines and so having a live rifle in there with us did make me clench the buttocks somewhat!
@@bigdansairguns83 Hi thanks for the reply. Can you please do a review on the air arms Tx200 MKII ? It would be great to see your take on this air rifle. 👍👍👍
@@bigdansairguns83 Yeah, that would be great! Air arms somewhat copyed the HW97 so it would be very interesting to see which came out as the best (in your opinion).
@@rudibanfield8303 I won't lie Steve... I am a 97 man but I'll try my best to not be biased when comparing the 97 to that other hideously ugly and stupid rifle that is nothing but a cheap copy of the magnificent German.
Hey mate. it'd be a great plinker and an excellent rifle for tuning. Although it definitely has some rough edges the important bits are all incredibly well made and even with just a drop in kit in there it'd be a cracking rifle! Cheers Pilot.
Come on Dan where the nova vista alpha??? I know your king of the springers but I'd love to know your own personal opinion, all the others on UA-cam are FAC, I need to know the sub 12 performance before I pop up and see you and buy it 😉😉😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Are Milbro rebranded Ekol Turkish guns? Or do Milbro/Smk just put their name on various Turkish and Chinese guns?. I'm just wondering if the Milbro Accqr8 junior rifle is Turkish or Chinese made?.
Maybe review the guns having put at least half a tin of pellets through first - bound to be a bit of "Dieseling" etc straight from the factory!! They seldom fire true straight out of the box. Would be a fairer review at least partly "Run In". Great reviews all the same.
Thanks for a nother honest review, i have only just found your chanel, and of course i have subed, how about a review of the Brocock Bantam .22 please thanks Cheers
Wind started blowing markedly harder left to right after the ones in the first nice group in the first accuracy test. Maybe then a bit of left windage due to this would have been fairer?? Can hear the wind howling, so not a fair test IMO.
No, just kidding Adey of course mate I'll get it done. We haven't had any Co2 rifles on here yet and the CP2's are excellent bits of kit. Thanks for the suggestion Adey!

How many joules of power does it have?Is this better or Hatsun 1100?
I like the RWS .22 Diablo Wadcutters (Flat headed pellets) Maximum damage & Now't gets up from these.
You can't go wrong at that price and it's over 11ftlbs so that's a bonus
We have the same gun here in Canada under the Winchester/ Daisy name trigger is absolutely the worst trigger on any air rifle made
