  • Today we look at what could be a cracking package from Crosman, the Crosman Summit package. On paper it looks excellent, lovely beech stock, no plastic to be seen on the breech and you get a genuinely neat little scope with it.
    But can it put pellets on card? Let's crack some out and find out!

    Dan you are quite obviously a traditionalist when it comes to guns. A gun should look like a gun and not a drainpipe on steroids. I am with you 100% but I am a traditionalist. Being 76 years of age that should come as no surprise to snyone. Very nice rifle but.....the plastic trigger. Oh dear!

    Cheers Dan. I agree, it's a good looking rifle. They deserve praise for not sticking an ugly lump of plastic on the end which seems to be de rigueur on budget springers these days!!

    Nice looking rifle. Reminds me of the BSA Meteors back in the 60s. Yup had one then. All the best.

    I'm surprised it has a plastic trigger. They use to offer the Remington Summit. Same gun. I have two bought used. The The Remington has a shiny finish. I prefer the finish on your Crosman. The Remington has a white spacer between the stock and recoil pad. Also a metal trigger and trigger guard and a metal barrel weight/cocking aid same as the one comes on the Crosman G1 Extreme. The Summit stock is slimmer and lighter than the Optima/Vantage stock. I also have two Furys, two Storms and a Phantom and G1. All bought used. All same gun. They all come in plastic stocks. Found wood for all of them and metal barrel weights. The GRT trigger works great in them. I have four. Trigger pull between 6 and 10 oz., no first stage. The rest have the RC roller bearing mod. No first stage and 1 to 1.5 lbs pull. You can google the mod. They all shoot holes touching if I'm in the zone.

    Hi Dan, great video as always. Have you ever reviewed any air pistols? In particular have you ever used a Huben GK1?

    It looks to have the exact same Center Point scope that came on my Benjamin Trail NP All Weather .22. I have had that gun since 2011 and that scope is still as good as it was since day 1! Mine is also the North American full power version and I am getting an average of 720FPS with Crosman 14.3 gr pellets.

    the spring twang can be completely damped with just a little grease, the trigger is the type that can be greatly improved by installing the RC bearing mod into. almost match grade after that!

      Or just a longer trigger screw. I've got no idea why they don't simply do this so the screw actually has a proper effect on the sear.

    A handsome looking rifle , with a very decent looking mount & scope , the mount looks a bit like the BSA versions , I have to agree the looks really do appeal to Me as well. I loved the comment about the trigger being creepier than than a Scooby Doo villain . Yoiks ! here have a Scooby snack - oh sorry this isn't Buffman Range video . Thanks Dan You know that spring gun video's are always My favourite type of shooting video's catch You next time . Shoot Straight Stay Safe & Stay Well.

    Another XS19 variation. Not bad guns. I have it in Diana two-fifty variation with thumbhole stock and safety at the back of the receiver. Trigger out of the box was sooooo heavy! But if after disassembly, cleaning, lube, better spring, barrel cleaning and trigger job it is a satisfing gun to handle and shoot. The Cometa 220 is a bit more accurate but has less power.

    what would you say would be the best air gun to get as an all rounder for pest control and just pure plinking under 200? would be much appreciated!

  • @Kralk.66
    @Kralk.66 28 днів тому +1

    So your selling at £175 with scope.
    That means it must cost less than £10 to manufacture.

    • @99ron30
      @99ron30 28 днів тому +1

      Smartphones, motorcycles, TVs and cars also cost peanuts to manufacture in China, at the scale they make them at.
      But it means very little in terms of the Western consumer market price cost, nor a good indicator for quality.
      The Chinese make a TX200 clone for £10 aswell. But is it £660 less rifle than the real deal?. Hard to find in the UK now though.
      And if the Western branded importer demanded 1:1 quality at extra cost, the Chinese could deliver. They do make Olympic grade air rifles, aswell as humble B2s.
