The first charity where I've ever seen money actually directly go to the advertised cause. 100% of the donations went to saving the children.
... from themselves...
Actually, it’s $5.00 less to help those children. The children went one way, the money the other… in the scammer’s pocket.
Lol we have a different word for this in the English language. This would be called a ransom not a charity.
The children were still in the parking lot, they were saved from being in the van but saved from anything else is not made clear. The $5 was not given to them so it was momentary charity but also a ransom. Now the man has a potential responsibility of taking care of the children and making sure they are safe. The van could pick them up again down the road and the charity (scam) continues
@@adderon7476 who said he has to take care of em he can just leave em
This skit never gets old, like the kids who were never saved.
Ok
Awful yet hilarious.
Jesus
Daaaymmnnn... 😳
I still wonder what happened to them.
This blurs the line between comedy and horror so brilliantly. Especially on a rewatch when you hear "every minute another child dies unnecessarily" in a totally new context.
Where’s the comedy in this?

Gotta admit, he did say exactly what would happen with those dollars. 100% effective with no overhead or administration fees. The noblest of charity.

@@caiden3396well, this video is a minute long, the guy paid to save 5 children, but one stayed on the van, what do you think happened to the child after the van went away?
The cost could very well include overhead and the actual cost is less than a dollar
@@Kvadraten376 i mean, let the guys profit a little my man, they provide a valuable, quality service for a very accessible fee
It's the way he walks up and opens the door and counts them off,a man true to his word, a man of principle, no more no less, just five.🤣🤣
The part always gets me! literal and very unexpected💀🤣🤣🤣

Saving children is anti-semitic.

"Every minute a child dies unnecessarily" 0:08 hits very different after watching it.
The moral behind the skit saving them from corrupt orphans and group homes they're safer on the streets.
i like how key's instinct is to purchase another kid's freedom, not just outright calling the cops or something to that extent
A dollar isn't that much bro.
Every minute counts
It's heartwarming to see a charity that puts all their money into helping children instead of administrative fees and bonuses.
and with such immediate results!

That moment at the end, where he's clearly doing the mental calculus of what the fuck he just got drawn into, realizing he's going to have to call the cops and stay with these kids at least until the cops get there, and definitely going to have to make a statement, and *then* he remembers the guy said "every minute, a child dies" and suddenly the moral imperative becomes to save one more child before he deals with any of that, because he did see *at least* one more kid in that van, and what if that kid dies because he handed the guy $5 instead of $6? Can he live with himself?
The line between comedy and horror gets so thin in so many K&P sketches, and I love it.
Reminiscent of "Schindler's List".
Waaiiitttt..
Is the "charity" actually a child-trafficking ring?
Well the dudes right their I would tackle him 🤣

Woah
This is hilarious and everything, but I also find it weirdly heartwarming that Keegan's character, as soon as he digested the insanity he just witnessed, immediately attempted to save the life of another child.

"I have another dollar."
Powerful words.
Can we talk about the fantastic cinematography for this skit? It's a continuous shot. No cuts ( or maybe one hidden in the van close up shot). And it's so clean!
Probably a hidden yes but amazing nonetheless
💯
I didn't even notice. There might be one small cut but it's still a lovely continuous shot. Good eye.
definitely a cut there. they're not gonna film children with no seatbelts inside that van making that sudden halt. that's too risky a stunt. stil a perfect shot though.
Is the van footage sped up?
His cat walk back to the entrance after he saves the children. Epic
I was hoping Somone else noticed that ‼️😭😭😂😂

The evil shift in his eyes going for the kids 0:36 is fucking hilarious
When he said " i have another dollar", that reminded me so much of the final scenes of schindler's list. Very different scenes of course, but that was what came to mind.
"1 2 3 4 5, ok! Not you, Not so fast" what a professional he is to save the children. This one really nails it.
It's Keegan's face when he sees the van roll up that kills me. 😂😂😂
Right😅😅😅
and when he walks away before saying, "Thanks a lot sir". 😂
And Jordons face when walks up to it haha
"Yo, TOMMY!" 😂
This show does both bring to light society's problems, as well as make it more easy to watch. It shows that the general public does care. Just when you give money to an organization that does things over seas, it's hard to see what your money is actually going to. If it is even helping anyone. Or just lining the pockets of those in charge of this supposed helping organization.
But when you see instant results, I think more people would readily give or give even more.
True, but the children that need the most help are in other countries. I have a small orphanage in Benin and it takes real money to run it. It costs roughly 100 dollars a month per child. I personally do not get paid and no one in the board does, but I have to hire 1 cook, 1 director, 2 caretakers, 2 teachers and 1 manager and other part time employees like a nurse, builder, driver etc. Then there is food, rent, transport, clothing, health care, toys, school suppies, dorm supplies, kitchen supplies, internet, electricity, phone mintues, phones etc. That is for only a small amount of children once the government gets involved things become more complicated and expensive. The only expenses that do not go to the care of children is travel, office and fundraising expenses. It is not easy to start or maintain an orphanage and scammers have made people jaded. I know people care about children. It would nice for people to be able to trust people. All I can do is senf newsletters with updates about what is happening at the orphanage and posting videos and pictures.
I agree, but this could also make the point that people are very good at forgetting the suffering in the world and just not thinking about it. But it's out there.

Every minute, a child dies. The video is one minute. That one child wasn't going to make it.
Lmao, also you could see he was the last one in the van also beside the man
Facts 😂🤣
he said it at the 9 seconds mark, and the video ends at the 1 minute 9 seconds.
shouldnt the clock reset once he paid to save even one?
LMAO “Oh my god, I have another dollar…!” That’s the funniest reaction. Definitely can’t accuse him of being a snitch. The fact that Jordan’s carrying a clipboard always gets me too.
hahaha his facial expression when the kids came out of the van is priceless!
Excellent camera work, and all done in a single shot. Just perfect
@@moxiemfox Exactly. When the entire gray side of the van fills the screen was when it was cut. No way they're speeding around in a parking lot with little kids standing up inside!
Unless... the kids are wearing their seatbelts at first, then have to jump up real quick like during the swish pan to Jordan Peele. Or, this being Hollywood, maybe it's actually a documentary...
@HDB FILMZ "didn't think about the kids". Well, isn't that the root of this whole tragedy?
It looks like a scene from a Steven Spielberg movie. He did that a lot.
But it's not
That what you call service!🤣 Not only did he save the children, he did it immediately!🤣🤣🤣✌
His walk had so much purpose 😂 you knew he was up to something when he walked up to the van.
One thing I love about this is that the whole sequence is a “one shot.” There a hidden cut though when the van ran by the during the close up shot. It just great because of the movement of the whole sequence helps to get the attention of the viewer. It’s just super nice!!
Ah, Yes. I guess they didn't want all of those children in the van while the stunt driver careened through the parking lot.
I bet that cameraman could do it all flawlessly in one shot though. So seamless, fluid, clean. Even capturing Key's bewilderment while Peele's character struts away confidently. Film language is so underrated. Jeez.
@@Tropicaya No way insurance would sign off on a bunch of kids standing in the back of a van with a single adult as someone drives in hot like that before slamming the brakes. A bunch of adults sure, but not 6 elementary schoolers.
this one was SO DEEP... imagine if we all could SEE the difference our choices make on others that clearly and that fast...
It’s called ethical philosophy, it’s not deep it’s an argument for why utilitarianism is the correct way of thinking. It’s logical and anyone familiar with utilitarianism concepts would automatically think of such a scenario in order to argue for why we should donate to charity.
Same thought 👍🏼
@@BoulderBoulder_ Except that's flawed. In the skit for example, the most ethical solution isn't to keep donating money, trivial though the amounts may be, but to arrest the kidnappers and stop them entirely. The joke is that it's only $1, but we could make it a more practical exercise by saying, what if it were $10,000 per child?
$10,000 is a small sum in philosophical terms to pay for saving someone's life. Yet, it's sufficiently lucrative that if these kidnappers are so successful to achieve it, it rewards them and encourages them to keep doing it.
How this ties back to charity is this:
Charity is not necessarily the most effective avenue to address social ills. Most social ills, like poverty, illness, and violence, have systemic contributing factors; and few charities are able to directly, effectively, and systematically address these ills.
But what's worse is, charity can contribute to complacency of large problems. We give a few dollars, and guilt-trip others around us to giving a few dollars, and then feel reassured that we've contributed to solving these problems entirely...thus ignoring the root causes to actually build a better world for all.
@@dreamcanvas5321 How do we build a better world for all then?
@@dreamcanvas5321 my guy .... I respect you with all my heart
“1,2,3,4,5” the way he pushes back the last kid😂
The skit, especially the end part when he said he have another dollar, actually reminds me of Schindler's List ending. The part that he said his ring could save another 2(or more) lives.
His walk off after "thank you sir" kills me 😂 not as dead as the unsaved kids though
the driver and cameraman should be awarded for this

Being "serious" for a moment (sorry) : Sadly, so many charities are massive cons, with so little of the money truly reaching the people the charity claims to be helping. Then you have cancer charities. Well, the last thing big pharma wants is for a cheap and effective cancer cure to be available, so you can be sure they have measures in place to prevent that. The world we live in can be seen to be a disgrace upon taking some time to research.... (but avoid the most famous search engine if you do research, since it uses lots of censorship)
