► Flight controls: bit.ly/tcaboein...
Testing out the maximum takeoff performance of the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner in Microsoft Flight Simulator. 25 degree pitch and 5000+ feet per minute achieved in the climb. Recorded on a flight from Myrtle Beach Int'l (KMYR) to Jacksonville Int'l (KJAX) on the VATSIM network with ATC included. (Thrustmaster sent me the Boeing TCA controls to use for this flight.)

Thanks for watching boss. More videos soon!
The quality and accuracy of lingo these ATC dudes are using while chillin in their gamer chairs at home never ceases to amaze me
And how much they sound just like the real deal.
I am sitting here listening and I'm like, damn, I think I have heard JAX center... while flying through JAX airspace, i thought this is a game, what the hell?
It never ceases to amaze me either, it's really impressive
@@Tibbs_Farm Tbf some are actually the real deal, currently or formerly. Just like some of the pilots are real pilots. There’s actually probably a lot that are actually ATC.
@@roji556 I can honestly believe that.
They sound just like when I was flying as a crew chief on a C-17 flying through their airspace.
I would assume a few of them are using the game as a practicing tool for being a real ATC.
the ATC at 9:40 sounds like a legit controller playing on his day off or something. rather impressive.
There are actually a decent amount of Vatsim controllers that are controllers in real life. I know one guy who controls Atlanta Center on vatsim controllers Dallas Fort Worth Center in real life. Pretty cool stuff.
@@cptmitchell983 probably gives them a chance to blow off steam, goof off a little with the newbies, and practice as well.

Most like I have ever gotten for a comment. Said this to my high school geometry teacher. Ex navy helicopter pilot.
This aircraft is an absolute pleasure to fly in. Silent, comfortable, the passanger cabin is probably the most silent one of all the airliners. Flown to NRT 4 times and DFW 6 times on it and it's pure joy.
I love the 787. The tinted windows were kinda fun to play with, but my parents told me not to change the variable tint too much (I was 16 when I flew it the first time). :)
787 is awesome and one of the quietest, but I think the A380 is substantially quieter. Probably around 80-90 787 flights and 15-20 A380 flights for me.
The 787 is very nice and comfortable. Many airlines even have seats in the 3rd last row of the plane where it's 2-3-2 instead of 3-3-3 and you get a lot of extra space. However A380 is still the GOAT for me (not biased at all because I had my only business class flight of my life on it lol)

Boeing does a lot of test flights at our field (KMWH). About a week and a half ago as I was driving into work, our facilities is just outside of the NE corner of the airport, I watched a 787 do the most max climb ever. He was pitched up at 60-65 degrees for the first 500' and the engines were definitely pushing as hard as they can. It was an amazing sight. Too bad I was driving and couldn't get a picture or video of it.

Would love to see you do a medical flight in a Learjet 45 as we do at work. Just interested in seeing if ATC in an online game would actually give you priority over other traffic in the area.
It’s actually a rule in VATSIM that no aircraft can have priority over another and all aircraft are first come first serve, but that would still be a cool flight to see
@@IndiaWhiskey what about emergency landing?
@@vire559 I assume it also falls under that rule. Because it's a simulator you technically can just make things up on the fly, and judging by FSX Steam edition's tradition of having a mayday call once every 5 minutes it's probably not going to be pleasant if you're allowed to do that.
Unless maybe you coordinate with ATCs and possibly other pilots beforehand that you would like to try an emergency flight.
@@IndiaWhiskey Also, there is no default Lear 45 in MSFS anymore.
@@vire559 You can delcare emergencies (for everything except hijack) but the controllers reserve the right to either cancel your emergency or ask you to disconnect if the workload/disruption is too high to deal with it.
I've only done it twice, and both times I've asked the controller via PM beforehand if they'll allow it.

To make the batter, tip 140g plain flour into a bowl and beat in 4 eggs until smooth.
STEP 4
Gradually add 200ml milk and carry on beating until the mix is completely lump-free. Season with salt and pepper.
STEP 5
Pour the batter into a jug, then remove the hot tins from the oven. Carefully and evenly pour the batter into the holes.
STEP 6
Place the tins back in the oven and leave undisturbed for 20-25 mins until the puddings have puffed up and browned.

I've never witnessed a 787 startup, but I can confirm that 777 pilots can and do start both engines at the same time
Well, usually there's only one guy on a headset connected to the ground panel with an extension cord observing the engine start for abnormalities from the outside.
So technically feasible 'could'... sure. But should/would... I highly doubt it.
Also, the engines are started using the tapped bleed air from the APU. It's a bit of a risk to share the APU bleed air for two engines at the same time as it might not have enough pressure to spool it up enough... that might cause all kinds of havoc.
@@shiznuts I'm an A&P and have worked on the 777 some, so that's how i know. the APU is powerful enough to start both engines at the same time
I'm not sure all 777 can and do. Yet even if, I still wouldn't prefer to. Let the ground agent (and flightcrew) observe each engine with his/her full attention. Also, power switching. On seldom occassion you already get erroneous failures popping up when an engine starts normally and it's doing it's load shedding and power transfers (which usually settles itself). I can only imagine 2 jumping on nearly simulataneously... just read into the 787 out of curiousity and found out it actually uses a no-bleed system. The starter motor spools up the engine, then once it's running turns into a generator. Quite interesting, didn't know that. Interesting as well that they're on a common typerating yet imho differ quite a bit.
@@shiznuts I’ve been in the jumpseat of a 78. They start them both together just like he did.
@@StevenJohnson737 gotcha! Interesting for sure. I mean, the chances of something going wrong at ENG start is pretty darn low and stuff has for sure gotten more reliable. I guess in all the years maybe I've seen one jenky engine start with high vibrations due icing conditions, but I still personally would feel more at ease the old way (and the way of tons of airlines where that's just the company standard operating procedure). I guess that's with a lot of things and a reason it will be a while before planes are autonomous and flown remotely, lol. xD

The term unrestricted is a term used to delete altitude restrictions on a SID. The new MIA departures have a lot of them. ie at or below or at crossing restrictions. Controllers will offer. Say “climb unrestricted” to prevent the pilot from stopping at a crossing restriction even though technically a clearance to a high altitude deletes climb restrictions. We take off light with no de rate all the time and you don’t need an unrestricted climb clearance

The quality of this blows me away. I started on MS Flight Sim 1.0..... I own this game, but haven't played it since my comp isn't fast enough. Just purchased a 3080TI so will probably dust this off and take another shot at it. Amazing.
Just a tip, when u want to take off in a heavy aircraft, u should INITIATE by pushing the throttle 10-20% making sure all engine instruments r clear and green, then full thrust on in a mild speed, dont over speed and under speed, cause at the end of the day u wanna use the minimum runway length in order to keep traffic moving while keeping in mind the minimums and speeds. Over all great job

Hey AFP great vid, some tips if you want to enhance your 787 experience on MSFS:
1. The heavy division mod comes with a more realistic FMC frontend as well as improved LNAV and VNAV features, as well as SimBrief imports.
2. The FTSim+ RR soundpack (Demo version) makes the Trent 1000s actually sound like jet engines and not a noisy server room which is where presumably Asobo sampled the default 787 sound from.

Bran, also known as miller's bran, is the hard outer layers of cereal grain. It consists of the combined aleurone and pericarp. Along with germ, it is an integral part of whole grains, and is often produced as a byproduct of milling in the production of refined grains.
Bran is present in cereal grain, including rice, corn (maize), wheat, oats, barley, rye and millet. Bran is not the same as chaff, which is a coarser scaly material surrounding the grain but not forming part of the grain itself, and which is indigestable to humans.

Composition
Bran is particularly rich in dietary fiber and essential fatty acids and contains significant quantities of starch, protein, vitamins, and dietary minerals. It is also a source of phytic acid, an antinutrient that prevents nutrient absorption.
The high oil content of bran makes it subject to rancidification, one of the reasons that it is often separated from the grain before storage or further processing. Bran is often heat-treated to increase its longevity.
Rice bran
Rice bran is a byproduct of the rice milling process (the conversion of brown rice to white rice), and it contains various antioxidants that impart beneficial effects on human health.[1] A major rice bran fraction contains 12%-13% oil and highly unsaponifiable components (4.3%).[citation needed] This fraction contains tocotrienols (a form of vitamin E), gamma-oryzanol and beta-sitosterol; all these constituents may contribute to the lowering of the plasma levels of the various parameters of the lipid profile. Rice bran also contains a high level of dietary fibres (beta-glucan, pectin and gum). It also contains ferulic acid, which is also a component of the structure of nonlignified cell walls. However, some research suggests there are levels of inorganic arsenic present in rice bran. One study found the levels to be 20% higher than in drinking water.[2]
Uses
Bran is often used to enrich breads (notably muffins) and breakfast cereals, especially for the benefit of those wishing to increase their intake of dietary fiber. Bran may also be used for pickling (nukazuke) as in the tsukemono of Japan. Rice bran in particular finds many uses in Japan, where it is known as nuka (糠; ぬか). Besides using it for pickling, Japanese people add it to the water when boiling bamboo shoots, and use it for dish washing. In Kitakyushu City, it is called jinda and used for stewing fish, such as sardine.
Rice bran is stuck to the surface of commercial ice blocks to prevent them from melting[citation needed]. Bran oil may be also extracted for use by itself for industrial purposes (such as in the paint industry), or as a cooking oil, such as rice bran oil.
Wheat bran is useful as feed for poultry and other livestock, as part of a balanced ration with other inputs. Wheatings, a milling byproduct comprising mostly bran with some pieces of endosperm also left over, are included in this category.
Bran was found to be the most successful slug deterrent by BBC's TV programme Gardeners' World. It is a common substrate and food source used for feeder insects, such as mealworms and waxworms. Wheat bran has also been used for tanning leather since at least the 16th century.[3]
Brewing
George Washington had a recipe for small beer involving bran, hops, and molasses.[4]
Stability
It is common practice to heat-treat bran with the intention of slowing undesirable rancidification. However, a very detailed 2003 study of heat-treatment of oat bran found a complex pattern whereby increasingly intense heat treatment reduced the development of hydrolytic rancidity and bitterness with time, but increased oxidative rancidity. The authors recommended that heat treatment should be sufficient to achieve selective lipase inactivation, but not so much as to render the polar lipids oxidisable upon prolonged storage.[5]
