  • I discovered this strange camp in the woods while out on another adventure. After verifying that the people camping there were trespassers and had been run off of the property, I decided to explore what they left behind and discovered some unlawful activity.
    About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my UA-cam "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

The government seems to be giving more and more money away to those who have no correlation to the United States. Administration after administration has failed to properly care for those who risked their lives for said government who told them they’d be taken care of for their service. I hate the Russian/Ukraine situation but if we had billions to send right away on the command on Zelensky then certainly veterans are purposefully getting shafted.

Exactly. I'm a veteran and I never been homeless living in the wild but I seen many who have and it's not easy but you learn the hard way about how to survive. I wouldn't survive out on the streets as I am now a type 1 diabetic.
One thing to remember that no one seems to realize is that there is no such thing as homelessness. Your place of origin(where you are from) is your home. The correct term should be "without shelter" unless you have survival training and can make all the things you need by which it would be called " stealth housing". That's just how I look at it 🤷‍♂️

How random things are in their strange scatter. Over there a power strip, mug tree and office chair, over here a survival guide, rock hammer and camouflaged bucket. Then as if meant to be hanging there in the midst of all this oddity, a sweet sentiment about Mother. My feelings like yours are mixed, feeling sad for the soul who lives this life, while simultaneously miffed at the wreck they left behind. I hope they've moved on and found their way in this world. I had a special old logging trail I ran all the time and I got bored with it and one day I took a turn about half way through and after 1/4 mile or so off trail I ran dead through a hobo camp, I was in the middle of it before I even realized it and I was freaked out a bit and so were all the people jumping out of tents and from under tarps, scared the heck out of each other. There was a huge pile of cans and bottles, so they had been there a while.

The only time I ever used a live trap like that was to get raccoons that were getting into my garage. I caught two at once in the same trap. I used fish guts for bait after a week of nothing else working. They about ripped the chain out of the ground trying to escape.
They were climbing up the corner outside then pushing up the soffit to get inside. Crazy critters.

Since lots of businesses have been closed down in the last few years there's loads more homeless people who have lost everything including there family and friends and they probably live in woods because it's a lot safer than on the streets. I know I would rather do that.

Please be careful. There could be other traps for humans in these old marijuana grows. I lived near a mining claim, and found where someone had run pipes into one of the mines for water for their illegal grow. This was back in the 70's and some Vietnam vets were growing marijuana and they had the knowledge to build these traps. It's scary stuff.

I'm new to your channel. Appreciate what you did for any animal by springing that trap. 👌 I live in Murfreesboro Tennessee and if you pay attention you can often see camps like that around town. Especially in wooded areas lime around a couple of our Wal-Marts.

Last 10 years I have detected within 150 feet of dead bodies. Didn't look in a collapsed shed and a tent which seemed abandoned. Both had bodies in them. Drugs and alcohol the cause of death.
It seems people can afford to abandon good items, clothes, cooking gear, tools. Even after a few years the stuff is still there. Many around town.

I was hiking recently along some rail road tracks not too deep in the woods just off a well used hiking trail came up on a wheel chair parked right against the tracks walked up to it and saw a homeless man sound asleep in this tent, 'door" wide open right next to track. he had it fixed up with make shift pantry and closet...super creepy I ran in the other direction.

MAN, your brave to go thru that camp like you did. People living like that could be dangerous. Like the way you were tracking their movement signs. They might of built up those walls to hide their fire light from being seen. This is exactly why I am too scared to go hiking through the woods alone anymore...you never know is hiding out in them anymore. You take care. May God watch over you and keep you safe and well.✝️😌🙏
