This was a really fun treasure hunt. This video is almost all underwater retrieval of finds. I did not use a metal detector and stayed underwater for about 3 hours. I did not do a round-up of the finds yet and was thinking about doing a separate video of what I found if you guys would like to see that. It's nice to come home after work and fighting traffic and wind down watching Beau do his thing. At 13:44 I think that was a crank for starting an engine. It's also interesting how the minnows hang out, waiting for you scare up some food!

I love underwater videos. Consider mounting a GoPro under your kayak and just drift down a clear shallow stream or river. That video would be spectacular.
Videos like this are sooo fun! It's like looking at one of those kids' menagerie picture books where they have to find certain things hidden in a pile of a million objects. I was just thinking that it would be cool if there was a way you could offer some of your river finds in a small shadow box display for your viewers to purchase. Does not need to be anything of value, just something where a person could go "Hey, I watched AquaChigger find this in his video".

This is simultaneously amazing because of how much "treasure" is packed in there, but also extremely depressing because such an absolutely beautiful, crystal clear water creek is so overloaded with garbage. This is the kind of place I'd love to just wade around in, but the sheer amount of rusty sharp metal and broken glass would make that impossible.
@@__WJK__ Not sure if I'd even trust shoes. I had a stick go through the bottom of my shoe the other day. Just a simple broken stick. And stuff like nails or sharp glass can easily penetrate shoes as well.

The guy in the video has been swimming and wading through water for decades and I'd say (by his example) the odds of a stick or other such things "taking you out" is incredibly low, unless maybe your definition of wading through water means stomping your feet super hard and/or jumping up and down as you walk along the river bottom (?) but seriously, c'mon...lol.

Just watching him fan, there was tons of broken glass, rusty nails, jagged pieces of metal and knife blades flying around everywhere. I mean, if someone wants to risk it, that's their choice.. But as full of broken bottles and rusty metal as that stream is, it's definitely not a place you'd want to be walking around in.

This is an underwater dump and nothing less , trash was pushed in the river or the river changed its course and ran over the dump site... Cheers for the clean attempt at this location....
cool video love watching them! I found a cavern under water in the middle of the river about ten years ago with artifacts in and around he mouth of it.what was outside the cavern or cave was covered with sediment and corrosion but what was inside the mouth of the cave was not and looked like it was dropped yesterday. why would this be and are these under water caves rare? a musket barrel that I found still had engraving and gilding on it and you could read the word london on it.looks like you could almost use it today as well as the bayonet. I'm on the potomac river below one of the dams.
That’s a dumb question of course we want a round up of what you found that’s half the fun and we usually can’t understand everything you find so it’s the best part. That’s a Wood Turtle, their actually semi- aquatic and they have a limited range. I found one once in West Virginia years ago back in the seventies. Really good episode Chigg , enjoyed the finds 👍👌

Unfortunately true but you could safely wade around with shoes or heavy soled sandals.
