Paiste just can't be beat. A different cymbal from a different brand may be better at one specific thing, but Paiste cymbals are so perfectly well rounded and great across the board
I’ve put 100s of hours into these cymbals and they really do sound fantastic in any setting, they sit so nicely in the mix and have such a nice tone in unison.
Signatures are my choice in cymbals for all the same reasons you mentioned here. I’ve used them in every situation from a rock band to a church worship team, and they always sit perfectly in the music. I’ve even had non-drummers come up to me and compliment the sound of my cymbals - I can’t think of a better endorsement than that ! Great playing as always, Nick. Kudos to the whole band here.
Paiste Sigs are incredible cymbals. Each time that I put them back on my kit I notice that they have such a clean and pure sound to them. I personally prefer the medium hats to the dark crisp hats. Killer set of cymbals!
Yep, Christian Chandler nailed it. The Signature series launched in 1989. Also, the 22" Full Ride certainly HAS been seen before, it was one of the original sizes available for that model when the series was released along with 20" and 21".
Elio Banzer I had to sell every music instrument I had when I was hit economically hard in 2003-2005 including my vehicles. I’m better now but the cymbals cost more than they did in 2000 when I bought them.
So I checked out a jam session and a product demo came in. This is awesome!!!!!!! God bless Nick D’Virgilio, God bless Sweetwater, and since Independence Day is almost here, God bless America.
"Yep...they came out right after the failed 3000 series. The Signature Series cymbals are not totally full of volume and cut, but they are definitely cymbals of beauty that fit right in the mix."
Throw into this mix Signature's 6”, 8” and 12" splashes, their 18” Thin China, and their 12" Combo Crisp Hi-Hat as an auxiliary...and they will be WAY beyond versatile!!!
Definitively washy and delicious!! I love signature sophisticated sound and they are my choice. Just lacking the Hi hat that I am still playing with a good 2000 series.
Ya can't go wrong with any Paiste line. The Full crashes are the most well rounded imo. The 20 Full is my favorite crash. Dark Crisp are very nice hats as well
I want that fast crash! I love the signature full line. I'll mix 2002's vintage 602, and Sigs for my sound. 15 sound edge 2002's, 18 full, pre serial 602 18, 24 inch 2002, 8, 10 sigs,, and 11 2002. I'll switch the 2002 hats for sigs depending on the music
Yea... I got a bunch of Signature cymbals and a couple Signature Dark Energy cymbals... For me they sound exactly what cymbals should sound like, like just what I want to hear👍
Are these symbols also good in a worship setting I am looking and thinking of investing on the symbols for a friend I am trying to see different symbols that I can help them get
Please redo the ballad!!! It would sound so good is Nicks snare had a coated ambassador tuned high so you can hear the reverb and high tone of the snare. It sound sound so good like that
Question- paiste sound great but why do they never appear on any of the "top 10" cymbal pack lists? Its always zildjian and sabian.... The answer to this mag determine whether I go paiste!
As beautiful as they sound, they're the loudest cymbals I've ever played and I wish more people would mention this. I was trying not to get yelled at by my neighbors, ha ha. I wouldn't recommend the full crashes for a small gig or calm jazz. They sound absolutely stunning though
Great playing, and Nick, you are fantastic. But you seriously say the same thing in every video. "Feels great under the hands." "Super versatile". I want to hear something real every once in a while. "These are better in this sort of setting than this genre" or something like that. Litterally every cymbal review video is the same.
If you know how to properly strike your cymbals, these will last..If however, you bring the stick straight down on them, and drive them harder, whatever the musical situation, they will crack..Guarantee it...Love watching Nick D..do his thing...Such a great player...
Could you make a video with Paiste 900 series in various styles like this one? All I find is metal videos and I want to hear them in other styles, so I can decide if they sound great in jazz, funk, blues, etc. Same with PST7
Robert L are you playing all 900?What sizes do you have in what type?Crash,Ride so on....Wonder what you think of them.....And they never mention $ in these videos..I'm guessing this box set comes in at around a grand.?!?!
GrooveKing Muzz I apologize for not answering a year ago. I didn’t receive a notification of a question to my post. I had the PST 7 medium but never had to chance to perform or play since I have to use electronic drums all the time. I didn’t like the 900’s because they sound odd to me. Price in USA is around $400-500 for a set.
I just checked the price 😨 I had a couple of price guesses in my head, a low and a high. It's three hundred bucks more than the high. It's great though... 😃😊😐😟😭
I think they're great for those who like compressed sounding, glassy cymbals, and those whose bands play generally lower tones, but they lack the midrange, punch and richness I get from my Sabian's. To each their own, but after seeing RHCP in concert with Chad Smith's new paiste endorsement a couple months ago, yeah not for me.
Great video, but this 4 piece is playing with about $30,000+ worth of equiptment. Don't be fooled. It's the many years of experience that make them sound so good!
i actually have these now without a 22 but was thinking of getting it for the ride ,screw it now actually got a real nice 22 sig dry heavy ride that sounds amazing .still the best cymbals ever though
Paiste just can't be beat. A different cymbal from a different brand may be better at one specific thing, but Paiste cymbals are so perfectly well rounded and great across the board
I like this review format with a band and different musical styles. More please. Great musicians.
Nice mini-concert, fellas!
I’ve put 100s of hours into these cymbals and they really do sound fantastic in any setting, they sit so nicely in the mix and have such a nice tone in unison.
can i have them
@@solodudeontherun2964 Yes
How are they live? Would they cut through effectively?
@@dylanbaldwin7934 Yes, they cut like a Masamune katana. They work excellent live.
Signatures are my choice in cymbals for all the same reasons you mentioned here. I’ve used them in every situation from a rock band to a church worship team, and they always sit perfectly in the music. Great playing as always, Nick. Kudos to the whole band here.
The 18" Signature Full Crash is one of the best cymbals Paiste ever made.
Totally agreed, one of my all time favorite cymbals from Paiste or any brand in general. It's just perfect!
Wow!! What a treat! These guys are awesome, thanks for a great mini concert!
😎👍
Paiste Sigs are incredible cymbals. Each time that I put them back on my kit I notice that they have such a clean and pure sound to them. I personally prefer the medium hats to the dark crisp hats. Killer set of cymbals!
I'm a Zildjian guy myself but those cymbals are the best ones I ever heard
i'm not a paiste guy, but it seems like paiste is just very consistent and overall great sounding cymbals. very cool
Yep, Christian Chandler nailed it. The Signature series launched in 1989. Also, the 22" Full Ride certainly HAS been seen before, it was one of the original sizes available for that model when the series was released along with 20" and 21".
I really miss my Paiste Signatures, especially the 13' Dark Hats and Fast crashes. Loved them. So musical for many styles.
Elio Banzer I had to sell every music instrument I had when I was hit economically hard in 2003-2005 including my vehicles. I’m better now but the cymbals cost more than they did in 2000 when I bought them.
FINALLY, a cymbal demo with music. Thank you!!! Well done. Great cymbals and great music and video!!
Upvote for DW acrylics!
These along with the 2002s are absolutely quintessential cymbal sounds
Nick is definitely living his best life
Best cymbals ever! I’ve played them for over 20 years and wouldn’t change them for any other cymbal brand
The 18 crash takes the crown in this pack
The signatures are the best in the world!
So I checked out a jam session and a product demo came in. This is awesome!!!!!!! God bless Nick D’Virgilio, God bless Sweetwater, and since Independence Day is almost here, God bless America.
a death metal outdo would've been INSANELY AWESOME AND COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nick D is the best drum gear reviewer out there. Keep it up Sweetwater!
Yeah for sure!
My choice is clear : 18" Signature Full Crash! Thank you guys!
Having to much fun as usual ! Thank you Nick !
Great demo! Amazing format, with music, different music
Can we talk about how gorgeous that PRS is? lol
Sound like my old zildjian paper thin crashes. Fantastic
You were all magnificent...but that keyboard player is such tasty musician
That closing groove though. DAMN
I don't care. This was awesome! More of this when you can, Nick!
Nick, what Paiste series did you use with the early Spock’s Beard albums? Was it all sound formula or did you have 2002s?
I remember when he sold his cymbals. I bought his Paiste 12” sound formula china. I remember there being sound formula AND 2002s both
Best demo of these cymbals out there. Great job guys!
“And they’ll Jazz!” but will they Dj3nt? Or better yet, will they *SLAM?*
br00tal....
Sorry Nick, but the Signatures have been around since 1989...
Agreed.... I've owned a ride and 2 crashes since about 1992.....
Krebtones dot TV Hi, The Signatures still in production
Yep! I remember seeing them in my Modern Drummer mags then.
He must have been thinking of the Dark Energy line..
Maybe if I had a roadie lol
I’ve definitely gotta get some of these some day! Great video!
Dark Crisp are very nice hats as well
Keep them coming...loved the set up with the band!!
Please do a video on how you do that drum outro
I want that fast crash! I love the signature full line. I'll mix 2002's vintage 602, and Sigs for my sound. 15 sound edge 2002's, 18 full, pre serial 602 18, 24 inch 2002, 8, 10 sigs,, and 11 2002. I'll switch the 2002 hats for sigs depending on the music
Great!! Thanks Nick and all the guys...
Yea... I got a bunch of Signature cymbals and a couple Signature Dark Energy cymbals... For me they sound exactly what cymbals should sound like, like just what I want to hear👍
I love this format as well. I am in need to replace my 16in and possibly a new 17in sig Paiste!
I enjoy your videos and I am learning about drums
Great video! But can’t hear the cymbals - buried in the mix.
Love that snare
Love set up gives. How it would sound merry Christmas
more of this!!
Are these symbols also good in a worship setting I am looking and thinking of investing on the symbols for a friend I am trying to see different symbols that I can help them get
i want a 22 inch ride
Please redo the ballad!!! It would sound so good is Nicks snare had a coated ambassador tuned high so you can hear the reverb and high tone of the snare. It sound sound so good like that

All of you lads are hired.
Youre all great musicians so clean
add the 16 china, its an amazing cymbal
nick says 20 ride but in the description you can read 22, sound amazing, paiste always are xpensive on the hight level products but not fail...
No, he clearly says that the ride is a 22".....
@@bohergoy 7:23 He says 20" in a second round

I have Paiste signature 13" Dark Crisp hi-hats, and I promise you that there's no better hi-hats made, by anyone.

Robert L I think the 900 series will be good for funk and blues definitely but not sure for jazz though. Same with the PST7.

Fabio Cacchioli sorry I didn’t answer two years ago. I didn’t get a notification but I don’t like 900. Has a odd sound to my ears.
GrooveKing Muzz I apologize for not answering a year ago. I didn’t receive a notification of a question to my post.

These cymbals are good for metal too
These cymbals are made of B-12 alloy. Which in retrospect means they are a little higher in tone compared to B-20 cymbals.
Not true. It's B15 alloy.
You should do a full band music cover video.
What a great job! haha.. Can tell Nick thinks so too!!! Great to see. :D Topnotch musicianship too Nick!
I like this Blues
I just checked the price 😨
I had a couple of price guesses in my head, a low and a high. It's three hundred bucks more than the high. It's great though...
😃😊😐😟😭
Signatures started in 1989. wow nick!
AND he was a Paiste endorser back in the day...
Mike Gerbitz C’mon, everybody makes mistakes

How do you guys pronounce Paiste? I pronounce it like paste but nick calls pie-stees and I love it.
Todd Roy thanks for telling me
Are you serious??
Nick is saying it correctly.
Paste, dude? 🤦🏽♂️
That was way too good. This video should have cost money to watch lol
Fantastic
sounds great
They sound great but I hate when the wing nut is cranked down on the cymbals
Paiste Signature cymbals came out in the early 1990's not early 200's.
I’d love me some pie-stee’s.
Wow that gear on every player tho.
what makes a instrument sound goood is, it depends on the musician.
Nick, bro your a killer man
Sweetwater knows how to do UA-cam
Hell yeah...👌🏻
Great video, but this 4 piece is playing with about $30,000+ worth of equiptment. Don't be fooled. It's the many years of experience that make them sound so good!
Dare i ask how much this set of Signatures goes for?Anyone?Betting $999.00 for starters..??
Excellents musiciens

In the video you call it a 22" ride, but then you also call it a 20" ride...
Refer to the description for a link to the cymbal pack demonstrated in this video, the sizes and specifications are given in detail.
THAT SOUNDS just like my 20 full ride so i think it is
Luke Estep, yes I see.
i actually have these now without a 22 but was thinking of getting it for the ride ,screw it now actually got a real nice 22 sig dry heavy ride that sounds amazing .still the best cymbals ever though
at 00:05 there is a quick shot of the ride which is lettered "Full Ride 22"
1989 not 2004....
6min 36 he plays cymbals alone
Awesome video love it! Just wish you guy's should demo drums & keyboard like this with Tears for Fears song please. Thank you!
Cymbals sound great. Snare not so much...
Bagikan free yaa
When they stopped for the bassist it went silent
paiste 900 series
Came for the Cymbals, stayed for the band. 17 people (Kids ?) have given this a thumbs down. Sorry kids, not everything is Rap/Metal.
Love this style of demoing!!!!! Cheers from Texas @Mauzoleum3 on Instagram!!!
