Angela, you are an absolute genius!!! I always learn so much from you. You say a lot of good things, but I think my favorite one is just to do it and enjoy the process....keep practicing. I thought I'd never get the feathers. But you said to keep on trying, and I did. All of the sudden, it just clicked! Now I love feathers! Thank you also for this quilt. It is exactly what I've been looking for to quilt for my brother and sister-in-love.

I always “learn more” whenever I watch and hear what you have to say about quilting. This time I really love how you extended the blocks into the negative space and added that little square and rectangle in the middle. You always encourage me to try different things and go out of my comfort zone. It keeps quilting interesting. Thank you Angela!

OOO I have to say, Angela, You ARE AMAZING! I know you have been doing this for a long time, but having the vision to replicate the angles in the quilting is amazing! The large area with quilting is a visual feast! As an artist, I want to "take my hat off to you" again. So beautiful. Just beyond words. Love it! Yes make it look, Intentional! Can't say it enough. Tell me how you photograph the quilting so it can be seen on screen. That is technique with experience with lighting. I could watch images of this quilt for hours! I'm "bookmarking" this so I can see it over and over!

Very inspirational video. Your explanations, coupled with your photo presentation, really brings the topic together. Your discussion really helps me with negative space and just doing dull meandering. Thank you so much!!

This was AMAZING! I finished the midnight quilter first and felt I had all these questions of "how did you" ..."why did you". And was about to put them in the comments when I saw the next suggested video. You answered them all. Thank you so much for deconstructing your work. I took up quilting because of you and Pat Sloan. So any mistakes I make are on both of you:). Thank you for all your hard work.

These are great ideas. I’m still piecing another quilt but it has design elements similar to this westward one and a lot of negative space.

Did you break thread to quilt the “floating” squares and parallel lines that are surrounded by swirls? Or did you have an idea where you wanted them and put them in as you were doing the swirl filler? Thanks so much. I love watching and learning and trying and watching again to pick up what I may have missed the first time-so nice to be able to go back and review-helps with my courage.

Do you offer a class on walking foot quilting. I had heard you did one on craftsy. The person who told me about the class said it was a wonderful class.

Angela, when you put this much quilting on a quilt, do you find it draws in on you? How do you keep it square as you advance it on the longarm? I find it really draws in on me and I have trouble keeping the edges out as far as they should be as I advance. Thanks.

??? Thanks for an informative & inspirational video! Love all your work. Question: I quilt on a long arm, and love to use thread that matches the fabric. Do you have any tips on lighting your work? With the matching thread, it's difficult to see where I've quilted so designs that need backtracking are difficult as is spacing.

How many cones of thread did you use for the background ? I am new to quilting and am nervous about how much thread to get to finish a quilt.

When you change thread colors on the top, do you change the bobbin color as well?
