That was an excellent video. I highly recommend folks watch this for several reasons. 1) No music, no intro, just a superior demonstration of problem solving. 2) The problem was clearly defined. The steps used to solve the problem were explained in a simple, methodical manner that even folks who have no inkling about how cars work, or the tools used to make them can understand. That's actually the sign of a master teacher. 3) The guy making the video doesn't say a bunch of unnecessary, boring, useless junk. The video is about bearings, not how his sister's hairdresser got drunk at the weekend BBQ and flashed the crowd her new boob piercings. 4) The fella clearly understands how smart his wife is and acknowledges it. Secret of a successful marriage. Well done.
I pressed my bearing in and forgot the retainer. Did not take me long to decide to leave it off instead of buy another bearing and redo it. Not really needed IMO. Pretty much rust in place hear in the north east. Different if you have ABS ... it covers the tone ring I believe. It has been fine for over a year.
