because no matter how smart you were on how prepared you think you were no one could have predicted or prepared for the S*** Walt did as Gus said to Walt in the desert meeting are you feeling ok because no sane man would have done what you did and he's right there was no way to predict or prepare for something that insane
The furthest we ever see him away from that pool is when he goes to the driveway with Lalo. Must've been hell for him being away from the pool for so long.
When space allows doors to restrooms will usually open to the inside because you do not expect it to be occupied if the door is unlocked, unlike a hallway where an outside swinging door might hit someone passing by. It’s also a safety concern in case you need to kick them down in in a hurry if the occupant becomes unwell. And lastly any room that is designed for privacy will not have the hinges exposed on the outside.
>instantly suspects something is wrong just because he dropped his cigar Don Eladio may have been a fool, but it's little touches like this that show why Gus needed to spend half his life carefully planning his demise.
@@darkwolf4434 his main mistake was underestimating how much risk Gus would take to kill him and his inner circle. Even after the drink he kept one of his men on Gus, so he was still suspicious of him, he was also hesitant to have any of the drink until Gus did, and it's clear the poison used was highly lethal as even Gus was effected (I presume the medication he took at the start was to temporarily cease or reduce his stomach digestion to avoid absorbing as much of the poison until he could vomit it out) while everyone else died. That is an insanely risky gambit to make by Gus and it is no wonder Eladio didn't see it coming, from a criminal and cartel pov, why take such a risk if it could easily kill you as well.
That speech does it for me. Esposito plays mellow and controlled all the time. Not this one. Even at the end, he’s dying, Don Eladio underestimates Gus
The cartel probably restricted who Gus could bring. Not to mention the only reason the cartel would want a junkie there is because Jesse is the cook they are looking for
3:56 Did Mike spot Joaquin or was he going to shoot Jesse? It kinda reminds me of Box Cutter where he instinctively aimed his gun at Gus slicing Victor's throat.
In hindsight, Mike might have wanted to put a bullet in Joaquin as soon as he passed out from the strangulation. Sure, Jesse got his spotlight moment…but then Mike ends up shot.
And just think, it took Gus 20 years of careful planning to get to this moment only to be killed by Walt less than a year of working for him.
Chaos and Time always win
Mr White is the devil
That's what obsession gets ya. He was obsessed with making Hector and his family suffer, giving Walt an easy thing to exploit and gain the advantage

Gus underestimated Walt. Walt was just as smart and eventually became just as ruthless.
Don Eladio lived by the pool, and he died in the pool. Good life.
Manolo grow up))

At 2:16 Don Eladio became Nirvana’s new album cover……
😂😂
I make a fake one
1:38 what would happen if the Door opened the other way and the fat guy was blocking it?
He'd go out the windows
Just push the door with more power .
Window looks pretty easy to climb trough

He was not that fool tbh since he is the Cartel's brain and Supreme Leader. It's just that, his Greed was his own weakness.
Don Eladio was no fool. He knew Gus hated him. That's why he made sure Gus drank first.

2:22 That feels like the tutorial level in a video game.
I was half-expecting to see "Hold X to pick up weapons" appear onscreen.
This is when the cutscene ends and you start playing as Jesse
Followed by a quick-time event shoot-out once Mike gets shot at the car.
Eladio probably thought right before he fell in the pool: "I should've listened to Hector."
And once again, Michael “no half measures” Ehrmantraut makes another half measure by not making sure Joaquin was deceased
He might not have known he was there
Mike strangles Gaff, not Joaquin Salamanca. Not sure why they needed to be two different characters, but they are.
@@GuiscardrSo Jesse could cap Joey himself. Which gives him a reason to be at the nursing home. Which helps give Walt the idea to use Hector.
0:29 "Fill me up, Chandler! Put it in me!"
“MMMMMM AAAAHHHH”
For anyone wondering the song playing is Thee Oh Seas - Tidal Wave
This is the moment Don Eladio really became an iconic album cover
Download Audio wasn't up to Los Pollos Hermanos Standards
This is the moment Gus Fring poisons the entire cartel.
"Download audio está muerto!"

You could see how much trust Gus had in Jesse at the fact that he only took Mike and him to this showdown

He definitely trusted Mike, but he only had Jesse there because he needed someone to cook for the cartel to gain their trust.
Saying "fill your pockets" to those ladies in bikinis lol
Don Eladio ha muerto, sus capos han muerto, no tenéis por quién luchar, llenaos los bolsillos y marchaos en paz, o pelead conmigo, y morid.
Gus is unwell not for poison he drank, because of los pollos chicken oil made him sick
3:56 Did Mike spot Joaquin or was he going to shoot Jesse? It kinda reminds me of Box Cutter where he instinctively aimed his gun at Gus slicing Victor's throat.
This is the moment don eladio became a pool toy.
Gus is going to be a great cartel now. I'm sure nothing or nobody will do no harm to him
Gus sempre posturado
This is the moment where don Eladio said thuu ! 🤨😡

That's a fast acting poison. Whatever it was.
