Thank you Mrs. Coffee for explaining step by step on how to do stamped cross stitching. By the way I've seen this video before and commented on how confused I was regarding symbols. I finally understand how the actual chart works. You explained it so well. @Ehr Hernandez Erma 😊
@MrsCoffee1 My spouse ordered Me a printed cross stitch. My 1st ever, My kit is from Dooxvey. I’m not sure if you have seen them. But the kit doesn’t say which stitch to use, not even an outline stitch. Just colors and location.Any ideas? Thank You!
Hi Mrs Coffee, thanks for the video. From what I understand the different colours on the canvas is different to the thread to distinguish the difference between the two. So that you can tell where on the section you are, as if the thread and canvas area are the same colour is harder to distinguish. Hope I've explained that OKas I know what I mean but can't seem to feel I've explained well.
I used to do counted cross stitch but gave it up years ago. I pulled this video up intending to wash my dishes and just let it play in the background but somehow just propped my feet up on the couch and was memorized watching lol. Stamped cross stitch so much simpler than counted. Well I guess now I gotta go do my dishes thanks for the tutorial and tips ✌️
Love, love, love your nails on this one! I think the fabric is probably different colors from the thread so your thread doesn't blend in as you're working on it, plus you can tell you actually finished a section if you didn't go straight across or straight down.
You did an excellent job of showing and explaining the process ! This comment is from an avid counted cross stitcher! Another brand for stamped cross stitch is JOY SUNDAY . It can come in 14 and 16 count. Thank you Mrs. Coffee for a great demo and explanation of how to do it ! :)
My favorite part of the stamped cross stitch and you can start where ever you want and skipping around it so easy to do. Great video. Love seeing you cross stitching again 😊
You are such a good teacher! This is the first cross stitch video I've been able to pay attention to all the way through and I feel a lot less intimidated by my stamped kit that I've had sitting around for a couple months now. Thank you!!
When I started diamond painting last year, your videos were very informative. I am on a local group and won a cross stitch in a lucky draw. Honestly, I wish I found your video before I started. You just have a great way of explaining. Thank you.
This is the best video I've seen so far. I diamond paint and I know how to hand sew so I get a lot of the concepts of cross stitch. It was a helpful tip on what the other codes at the bottom (2 and 3 the end thing) means. Also anchoring the thread from the back so it looks neater. Thanks. I appreciate your info! Now, im wondering how to cross stitch without the stamped pattern color codes.
Wow, cross stitch is literally that straightforward? I have been curious about it, and years ago my mom made a Loon cross stitch which is still around today. Cool video. Thank-you 😎
Hello there! I don't know if it was already mentioned. The reason the print doesn't match the actual thread color is to provide contrast between the two. This allows you to see what has been stitched and the next square to be worked much easier. I am going to look into the brand you worked on in this video. Thank you! =)
Thank you for this tutorial. I love these kits and the cross stitch community doesn't acknowledge them. I can't do counted cross anymore. Bad eyesight and these are a blessing.
I've been wanting to get into cross stitch & embroidery (my mother is a genius at all things crafty but she lives across the country- why didn't i learn from her as a teen?! lol) I think this will be a perfect type of kit to get started. Love your videos Mrs. Coffee! ❤
Great tips! 👍🏻 I usually work in hand without a hoop or frame and the fabric does soften up (I roll it up as I go) And I also use a different needle. I recommend Sullivan's ball-tip needle, it's great for 14 ct.
I have never done a cross stitch before and watched other videos on UA-cam on how to do this and they are all very fast and confusing, Your video is very well done and informative you make it easy to understand, thank you. I can't wait to start my own cross stitch kit.
I have been doing counted cross stitch for decades & I have bought a stamped kit to try but haven’t yet. I buy most of my cross stitch charts & kits from 123 Stitch. Glad you are enjoying cross stitch. It is fun & relaxing.
Thank you for this video. It is very helpful. I am new to cross stitching. Bought my first two kits from embroidery today. Found them on Facebook. Well to be honest they found me haha. Watching a lot of tutorials before I find the courage to start one of the kits.
Thank you so very much for this video. I’ve done counted for years but never tried a stamped. Until I saw you working on the fox/deer I never knew the pattern would come off in warm water. That was one reason I never got one. I so appreciate you breaking down what you get and how to use the legends. I would have just jumped in and struggled. 😂🤦🏼♀️😂 If you need me, I’ll be over on Oraloa’s site. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Love the nails. Used to do beginners as a kid but my co-worker recently gifted me1. I was so overwhelmed cuz it looks a lot diff then the 1s I remember but now I can’t wait to try😂
Thank you I just bought a set from Temu on a whim for fun & to have a go, it arrived an hour ago & I was sat here looking at it & thinking now where do i start? , I needed to see it in action. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for this video! I just bought this kit a couple of weeks ago. I was a little overwhelmed because it's be a long time since I've cross stiched.
1st leave say, I love your nails, they are gorgeous. I wish I could have mine stiletto shape like you to do diamond painting and counted and Stamped cross stitch. But I would make too many mistakes and be too slow completing a project. Just watching you, Now I have my mojo to cross stitch again.
What I want to see is how to do the areas of color that are small and far between. How do you switch between the colors so that it makes sense. Like if you have 3-5 stitches in on area then 3-5 stitches of the same color in an entire different area. Do you just do one square at a time and knot it off? Or do you have a long tail of floss going across the back to the next area? That’s what I am having trouble figuring out.
Mrs. Coffee, thanks for the video. I needed a refresher on stamped cross stitch. I have counted cross stitch for many years. I think I shared with you that I did find a kit at Oraloa. I feel a little intimidated by the design. After watching this video, I feel better and plan to begin in a few days. ☺☺
Hi Mrs. Coffee, I just had a question or two. What do you do if you are in the middle of a section, and you run out of thread? Do you just leave the ends wherever they are? I'm not even sure if that happens a lot, I am new to cross stitch, and my stamped cross stitch kit arrives tomorrow. This tutorial has definitely helped ease some of my anxiety about how to start, so thank you! I decided to get a kit off of amazon and give it a try after watching you doing it in your streams.
Thank you for this tutorial. I used to do counted cross stitch many years ago. Been thinking about picking it up again but realized that almost all of them are stamped nowadays. The only thing that seems confusing is that there is two different kinds of symbol ledger. Green X is the V symbol. Seems odd.
Hard to pay attention to the video....I am mesmerize by your nails!!!! What are the legends? I have tiny ^ on my pattern...Is that a special stitch or a small color change?
Love your videos girl. Which do you prefer. Stamped or counted cross stitch. I’m almost done with my first cross stitch ever and it’s stamped. For me, I don’t think I’d like having to count off my stitches.
Hello, Thank you for sharing this video. You showed me the X stitch, but how can I figure out what all the other symbols mean as far as what kind of stitches they are? My stamped kit has the same kind of legend. I'm not understanding at all what the other symbols are. Backstitch, french nots, diagonals, full cross stitches I get, but do not understand what a triangle or half shaded square means. Is their any way I could figure this problem out? Color coding is easy to understand. Would appreciate it so much if you could give me some information on this. Looked at my 11ct. aida they are not all X's. Thank you for your time.😊 Erma
@MrsCoffee1 Hello Mrs. Coffee, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Yes, I see the number in regards to colors to use. Am I suppose to ignore the symbols right under little squares which I thought represented type of stitch to use? The stamped kit is a Maydear kit. I'm very brand new to cross stitching. The actual stamped aida has printed on it several different types of stitches. I only recognize a few. Tried watching several videos to learn different stitches. Noticed you have another video on pre stamped kits and I will be watching. Why did these cross stitch companies print those symbol pictures if they do not correspond to anything on these kits? Thank you again Erma
Talked about it in discord but the stiffness does disappear after a while! Also, instead of a hoop or qsnap, it is fairly simple to just stitch in hand!no more purchase necessary!
Thank you for the tutorial! It’s been fun seeing you go for the stamped cross stitch!Adding that instead of cutting the threads in half, one can pull a single thread from the group of 6 and double it over to use the loop method. I found that helped me so much, especially when it came time to start in a new place with no other threads started.
No, when i was recording, i didn't see it, but after I ended the video, i saw it. There wasn't much i could do about unless i re recorded the entire video.
Hi Mrs Coffee! Thanks for video. It's been really helpful. I was wondering if you could do a short tutorial on how to do the back stitching. That's tripping me up. Thanks again for the video!
I am aware of the missed stitch. This was a visual error on my part as I recorded the video, but i promise it has been fixed.
Always fixable!

This makes it look super simple.....I'm a diamond painter, but just ordered my first stamped cross stitch....hopefully it goes smooth
Thanks to your video I was able to complete my first few stitches......Thank you 🙂

I used to take one strand and fold it and make sure the loop is on the back of the cloth. Then I would secure my thread in the loop on the back.

I have a colourful cat cross stitch thats not the same colours as the thread. Its prety easy to do. I love this design

Dangit Mrs Coffee. I don't need another hobby. But this looks like so much fun. I remember coss stitching something small when I was a kid.

Thank you for this video, it is exactly what I needed for the first cross stitch I bought recently. ❤
I always wanted to learn how to cross stitch. I think I would love it. I may have to give it a try and see. Thank you for the tutorial!

You can do it
Thank you for this video! I was looking to get back into cross stitch ❤
After watching you I think I want to get back into crosss stich
Your video taught me so much. Thank you so much!!!
This is a great video. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
You CAN make the canvas softer if you roll it several times on each side and squeeze it gently. It will not affect the printing. 😊
Love your nails, thank you for the video.
Thanks for the video I’m excited to try it!

I’m thinking of trying this
I am gonna try it tomorrow

I just got some to do and you were helpful
Thanks for the video. It was very informative 😊
If you look on UA-cam, there is a way to stich called the danish way, it is faster and eysier.
Thank you!! Awesome video!!!
Hi, can you do a mini tutorial on how u put a q snap on a cross stitch like this please??
Do you watch me on Twitch? If so, remind me in the stream tomorrow. If not, I can do one during a wip n chat.
I love this picture so i ordered it 😂
Great video but can I be amazed on how u can cross stitch with those beautiful nails
You get used to it
I use baggies to organize my colors.
Hard to pay attention to the video....I am mesmerize by your nails!!!! What are the legends? I have tiny ^ on my pattern...Is that a special stitch or a small color change?

May I ask what was the biggest kit you have complete, we have 90.x 70
Thanks. Nice demo, but why did you skip that one stitch? It looks like two symbols in between the two sections, but you only stitched one.

Is it just me or did a stitch get missed out near the blue part?
Nevermind I just noticed the comment she posted and she is aware of it lol 😁😂👍
I’ve never heard it called a “cover minder” I’ve always called it a needle minder. Interesting
In Diamond painting, we call it a cover minder as it holds back our covers in xstitch it is called a needle minder but there the same thing
Actually if you work with the fabric after awhile it loosens up
My kit doesn't show any back stitch. Do I need to do any and if so how.
If it's not showing any then it's not required so you should be good
Thank you so much. I love all your videos and especially your sense of humor.
