Thank You Jason on an excellent production, I do not know where you find time to edit the videos as well as get all the great footage, a lot of hours involved, thanks once again, take care and have a wonderful week.
Simply amazing, how modern and loaded with the latest electronics, computers and gps devises. I remember Nixon said in 1960s the person who has the most accurate & quickest data/information is king. Surprised no coffee maker in the cab, maybe next years model. Enjoyed Episode🚜👍
Talking with a few of the large farms i film that have the 8370Rs. They decided to stick with the 8370R instead of the 8400R due to the fact they don't want to lose the IVT transmission. They would like the added HP but not at the cost of losing the IVT. Both are nice rides.
Great video! That's some awesome farm equipment. I know what my dad would say if he was alive today, and I'll let go at that, lol. Thanks for sharing, as always you have some great videos on here.
At about 19:30 you can see the Moon. That tractor 🚜 has way more technology in it then the the first Moon 🌝 lander!! Great video. What will be next to be in the field?Who knows. One thing I do know is the Moon will be there to see it!
U would have to have a lot of acres to justify two of those planters with only filling once for 250 for corn an 80 for beans they have come along way since the 30 foot 12 rows
bigtractorpower. I try to watch all of you video's ! Yes, I am a city slicker...But I am trying to learn all that I can; about where my food come from. Are these guy's contractors ? Or does the farm own these amazing farm machinery ? I worry about a couple mislay bucks..... Could you do a video about a "fantom" farms finances ? How do these farms afford this huge investment, and turn a profit ? Just amazing... Rick. Washington, Pennsylvania........Almost forgot. There is a lot of money in green iron running in that field!!!! Everyday people think farmers are rich,,,, they are not! We have a lot of capitol costs, a lot of operating costs, and at the end of a crop year? Money goes quickly. We don’t do it for the money, we do it because it’s a love affair. A love affair with the way of life, and a love of the land.
Right at the begging of the video I mention this was filmed in June. It was Saturday June 15 to be exact. Sorghum is being double cropped right after corn chopping. You can see the sorghum at m.ua-cam.com/video/Rc12za3Qjak/v-deo.html
Conner, very good question it is hard to say, some large farms run these planters until the disc and other parts need replacing. They then trade them for new ones, some trade every year. It also various on the type of ground you have. One wouldn't last as long here in Southern Middle Tn. because we have more rocks, and most farmers here also No-till, the disc don't last near as long. Most of the large farms in Western Ky., like Garnett Farms, who usually plant 16,000 acres of corn work all their land. They run 4 - 24 row Kinze Planters.
This farm plants 30 inch corn. They side dressing the corn so the tires have to run down the rows. You can see this same 8400R working in row crop corn in this video ua-cam.com/video/LLBEW56toJ8/v-deo.html
@@bigtractorpower Okey. Im just curious about the row crop system. Does it yield more on a field?, or is it beacuse of the corn and the planter beeing used. Sry for bad English.
No matter how many times I watch these videos I continue to be amazed by the technology.
It is amazing what s tractor can do.
If there's one video that puts all the elements of modern crop farming on display, this is it. Outstanding video with great discussion and commentary.
Thank you for watching. Wheat season is always interesting here in WKY because there is so much iron in the field at one time.

Thanks again, BTP. The 21st-century farm machinery is so fine!
good operator right there ! he know what he doing
Really appreciate all the great videos Robbie was a good interview. Right up there with your buddy Matt. Keep up the good work BTP
Great video Just thinking what my dad would think if he could see this. He passed in 1966.
Another fantastic video that is certainly a very busy farm harvesting and planting all in the same field at the same time very well coordinated

Good God, that's a big machine!! Amazing how they work together in time!!
Awesome video! I really enjoyed it. Thanks for putting this together
Wow that is a HUGE unit😀

Great video! Props to all the farmers out there.
Yep,amber waves of grain,murica,love it.
Thank you for watching.
As usual, thanks so much sir for yet another great video, God bless you
Excellent video B.T.P.,I like the scene of the moon above the 8400-R/DB-60 planter, would make a nice Norman Rockwell 🖼⬅painting.
Very nice video greatings south africa.......keep them comminng!!!!!

Brilliant video as usual BTP. 👍👍
I see by the gun case leaning against the far door that they also get varmints and deer probably...happy hunting ; )
It's like a movie ending and you can go home when your video is finished well done
😁👍👍
Great video

Like that tractor
Nice setup all those drain ditches are a pain I bet
Lots and lots of looping around.

Great video Jason! I love the 8400r, does it have front axle suspension?
No-till makes it just that much harder for the seeds roots to spread out and dig in.
Love the video. What are hunting there? Deer, Grouse, Rodents?
cool
Nice.
I hope they get more rain than we are, that's all I can say.
Wow that's efficient. How's their harvest going with yeild due to the wet
Mine Not Yours occurs bxyiy ybiy
I noticed, do they remove the entire 3pt. Lift arms, top link and quick hitch for running the db planters?
Gabriel Alger no, the three point is the hitch for the planter. It is hard to see unless BTP does a close up of it.
@@peteparker7396 that's what I have always seen it just looked really odd in the shot.. thanks
Pete Parker No, DB (Bauer) planters use the drawbar.
@@Ellison89Brett so I was correct in what I saw?
@@gabrielalger9792 yes.
👍👍👍
Thank you for watching.
soy beans ...in august ...waw !

How is the seed moved from the storage tank down to the ground.
I guess what I'm asking is what propels it from the sea tank to the actual ground.
Seed tubes connect the commodity tanks with the row unit.
@@bigtractorpower how is the vacuum produced that draws a seeds down. Is it powered by the tractor.or Is it powered by its own movement.
Bob Mckinley A blower moves the seed from the large hoppers to a mini hopper on each row, then a vacuum is used to meter the seeds.
Thank you all for the input I was just curious as to how it
How many employees does this farm have? I’m guessing 30+.
No they are a family farm with just enough people to run the machines you see in the video and the trucks.
Could someone please let me know what I could expect the useful life to be for this planter?

Those things are pricey oh boy.
Why row crop? Give the tractor some bigger wheels. Nice video anyways
I bet the row crop system is smart to use on big field like inn the US and Canada. But i never seen it inn Europe
really freaky, if your not use to it, seeing the tractor being self directing
so its not self drive the operator still has to turn ect neat
I'm surprised that no one has devised a way for the combined to plant the beans.
Papa Roy there gets to be a point where there is too much going on for the person to handle though lol
47 row? I bet something must have ripped off a row off of the 48 row db 60 planter
who the **** can afford that!
Large planters is not something you see in Louisiana
✌️✌️
Great vid as always! Such pretty equipment! I started a UA-cam channel! Please let me know what you think about it! Its Farming on our Family Farm
Boooo!
