Hi Dan hope you’re well it’s Dan who had Marks Saph before him. I can vouch for the work done as he sent me step by step pics doing his underside and engine bay as well and he turned it around in such a quick turnaround time! The car couldn’t of gone to a better bloke who has all the correct tackle to just crack on, his attention to detail is impeccable, I too recommend him and his garage to anyone else 👌
Beautiful job Dan. As for the repairs? There's welding and there's welding mate. Your guy is obviously very good at his job. I've looked under quite a few Saphs and I can't believe for a Ford how well most have looked tbh? Seen a few escorts with rotted out sills etc. Worse cars I've come across are MX5's. Relatively new ones. Look stunning on the out and inside. BUT get underneath and some look like they've been parked next to the Titanic?! Great channel. Enjoy all the content!
Thanks so much for the support mate. Marks a great welder, I’ve seen some awful jobs on cosworths over the years, he takes serious pride in his work tho.
Aye they’re a good set of mates. There was me, 2 tonys, a mark and a Craig all working after hours on it. Truthfully tho we had a right good laugh and learned a lot about cosworths lol
@@TheM5Dog they were very difficult to get but with the values of the cars there are allot of companies remanufacturing parts now and charging the earth for them. Hardest things to find these days are good used engine blocks and heads
@@onthelimiter6529 That's good to know about the remanufacturing of parts, but less so the prices :(. Yes, good heads were difficult to come by back in 2002. @@TheM5Dog there’s a company called smith and jones engineering make brand new heads and blocks but for bare head and bare block combined you won’t see much change out of £12k. Cranks again are hard to find used, they come up for about 1200ish and brand new remanufactured ones are 2200+
